I love stealth missions in the Spider-Man games. They really let you slow down and just watch Spider-Man clear out enemies with them being clueless, while your being super obvious. But this guy, he is literally just making the damn movies with his stealth play style.
if there’s one thing Arkham Batman and insomniac Spider-Man have in common, it’s not killing their enemies, rather liquifying their bones but keeping them “alive”
I've killed enemies in both Arkham Asylum and Arkham City (detective mode confirmed it). There are places where they will actually fall to their death in water, if you time your attacks right; or bounce off a lower level onto the streets in City, if you cut them down with a batarang after stringing them up.
@@heavycritic9554 this was actually fixed as I can say, or at least in most places. Because when last time I tried to complete Arkham City, if enemy was stringed on large height game doesn't allow cutting the rope, warning player that "that fall would kill them" I guess there's still workaround, but I was too lazy to find them.
Batman: "A precise kick behind the knee will make him stumble, no chance to react with an attack. Tactical strangle on the larynx will deplete his brain of oxygen until he loses consciousness without dying." Spider-man: "If I punch him in the face hard enough he'll go to the ground without making a noise."
Unlike Arkham, this game was built more towards Spidey going in and fighting the targets with a lot of flashy stuff. Stealth seems to be more of a softening-up method over being a main tool, unlike Batman, who, lore-wise, uses stealth to intimidate people as well as thin numbers. People with the patience and skill can pull off this in Spider-Man, but guys like me only do it for bonus objectives and then go 'f this' and start causing chaos
Idk I've taken down entire Hunter bases in the second game entirety through stealth. The danger/Safe indicator is blessing for stealthing certain sections. It depends on your gameplay style.
The thing about stealth in SM1 (haven't played 2 yet) is that none of Spidey's moves _feel_ quiet to the player, so it doesn't give you the "feeling" of stealth, even if nearby NPCs can't hear it. Like, Spider-Man smashes some guy's face into the floor and smacks his ass like a Victorian schoolteacher, and for some reason those are the animation and sound effects for one of the "stealth" moves. Also, I hate how they only allow you to play a small percentage of the game stealthily because only the first wave of enemies in a room will be unaware of you.
well the game is open to both ways. And i absolutely loved it. Thats why when i recently started arkham knight i was overwhelmed with how much they promote stealth with some missions being impossible without it. It was annoying at first but eventually it gave me a new satisfaction. I wanna play all the games i ve played again now using stealth only lol
The Miles Morales game has some insane improvements for stealth. Wall and ceiling takedowns, fantastic new map design to make stealth more fun, your camouflaging powers, and you can actually take out entire enemy bases with stealth, as the subsequent enemy waves will just come out instead of forcing you to fight them
I am an Arkham player and found this game incredibly challenging. Edit: I take this statement back. I played SM2 on the PS5 and it was hard. Playing Miles Morales and Spider-Man on the PC with an XBOX controller was a cakewalk and nothing compared to AC Unity or Arkham Knight.
yea i can see why. Level designs werent in favor of stealtg and the number of vantage points per stealth section were lacking and it was hard to find places to hide at times. Honestly the best way to do stealth in this game was to use the gadgets and use web shooter to distract enemies or to clear out the enemies on higher levels first and to use that as a retreat point. Arkham stealth doesnt really transfer completely to Spiderman but if youre able to figure out how to adapt your playstyle from Arkham to Spiderman and recreate what empowered you that game you can definitely make Spider-Man stealth easier. Playing Spiderman 1 was hard at firts but recently went back to 100% it and figured stealth out and directly after that Iw as able to 3 star all the stealth challenges on my first try.
The skill of Arkham trilogy stealth sweats is scary, this is what keeps me up at night… knowing that Batman or Spider-Man can knock me in a matter of seconds…
I feel like I watched the opening to amazing spiderman 3, spiderman being brutal with criminals and maybe he put the tasm 1 suit on again because the other one would remind him of gwen's death since he was wearing that suit
I did so much of my first playthrough in stealth it's so overpowered in Spiderman 2 but still a lot of fun. Some cutscenes don't even make as much sense but I still love it
Just finished this game, best Spider-man game i have ever played. Will continue playing Miles Morales and then later Spider-man 2. I have also finished the whole Arkham series and during the whole Spider-man game i can tell that the developer took an inspiration from Arkham play style. And then there is this guy, who's playing his money's worth....Good job broski!!
Using the web shooters like the grapple hook. . Looks like his arkham play hours was dependant on a lot of cause commotion and grapple to the nearest ledge. Awesome work tho
Cool stealth trick with Web Bombs: When flying towards them after pressing triangle, shoot the web bomb mid flight. The momentum will have the bomb land where you land, and the force of the takedown knocks down surrounding enemies, then the bomb goes off, taking down up to four enemies with one takedown.
0:35 this low key has to be scarier than batman, like imagine sitting there hepless unable to scream as spider man beats the living crap out of your team mate knowing your about to be next

I just realized how influential the Arkham Games were on me after watching this. I'm pretty sure I subconsciously embedded the game mechanics into my mind as a child. The alternate universe where Peter Parker came home and found Bruce Wayne talking to his Aunt May instead of Tony Stark.

Honestly speaking i wish the second game still had the gadget wheel instead of the icon
There's also that half of the gadgets are just gone. You'd think with sequel we would have more toys to play with but guess not
The sequel as a whole doesn’t really care that much about stealth. The core gameplay wants the player to be more direct and less discreet.
