  • In this tutorial I will explain my best tip for you on How to Laminate Paper with Tape.
Lamination is easy with tape because you do not need a machine for it. All you need is packing tape, scissors, and your paper project. In this video, I explain how to laminate but more importantly, the technique I use when applying the tape. By following this technique you will significantly reduce the chance of getting air bubbles and messy tape folds.

I make a lot of bookmarks, so to protect them I laminate them with tape. I wanted to share this technique I found on applying the tape so that you reduce the chance of getting air bubbles or messy tape folds. Thanks for watching!

What happens when you have the tape laying flat sticky side up and just putting the paper on it since it’s harder to deform the thicker paper while handling?

Do you or anyone know how long this technique will last? Like if I wanted to "laminate" something like this to last for many years, would it? I've seen very old scotch tape that has basically disintegrated.

So far I've been doing this since I was little. I have a bookmark that is still in perfect shape after 20 years. But don't use scotch tape. That disintegrates after a while. Use packing tape from the tape gun.

@@captaincrochet6483 use packing tape from a tape roll. Will it last? Wanna use it for photocards

@@princesskitty187 Absolutely it will last. All my bookmarks from a kid are still super usable.

Is it waterproof? Because I used packaged tape to laminate my confetti to put in my snowglobe tumbler? Well it last?

Good question. Unfortunately I never had a situation where my laminations got wet. So I don't really know. Perhaps someone else knows the answer to that.
