Lamination is easy with tape because you do not need a machine for it. All you need is packing tape, scissors, and your paper project. What happens when you have the tape laying flat sticky side up and just putting the paper on it since it’s harder to deform the thicker paper while handling?

Do you or anyone know how long this technique will last? Like if I wanted to "laminate" something like this to last for many years, would it? I've seen very old scotch tape that has basically disintegrated.

So far I've been doing this since I was little. I have a bookmark that is still in perfect shape after 20 years. But don't use scotch tape. That disintegrates after a while. Use packing tape from the tape gun.

Good question. Unfortunately I never had a situation where my laminations got wet. So I don't really know. Perhaps someone else knows the answer to that.
