Yes, you. You're probably scrolling through the comments, like I am, reading all these motivational comments. If you are reading this at night, you should get some sleep, and don't stress about everything going on in the world, or what you are going through. Don't dwell on things from the past, don't stress on your future. Just live your life, because you only get one. Do whatever makes you happy, not what other people want from you. For me, I'm gonna wake up tomorrow morning, get hit the gym, and cherish life for the amazing blessing that it is. I hope you do the same and have an amazing day as well!

With every breath, the old moment is lost; a new moment arrives. We exhale and we let go of the old moment. It is lost to us. In doing so, we let go of the person we used to be. We inhale and breathe in the moment that is becoming. In doing so, we welcome the person we are becoming. We repeat the process. This is meditation. This is renewal. This is life. 💚

By not looking at the horrible thoughts they stay inside of us and do not allow fresh thoughts to enter and this same principle applies to the beautiful thoughts, do not milk them like they will be the last thoughts that you will ever have. To be a clear, cogent and critical thinker requires a lot of patience, complex reasoning, and ability to withstand experience of most unfortunate failures! This results in thoughtless actions in the name of practical wisdom. To be able to think clearly is a great achievement and should not be derided.

This story puts forth a vivid description of the process that awakens a person to Zen. However, being engrossed in something is not what Zen is pointing to. Neither is disassociation from the body. I agree that meditation, should be a seamless transition from sitting in the Dojo into everyday life, but it is one of a series of important experiences that need to be explored sequentially so that mind and body merge into being. Awakening has very distinct properties that are not associated with what you have described. Zen awakening does not occur through the absence of thought but rather through the absence of tension related to thought. We sit on the stool to feel the misalignment of our body, psychology, emotion and intention. We walk through life observing why this misalignment occurs. Then we follow the masters instruction implicitly until we find the door that cannot be reached through conscious awareness Only through the core of being will its key be turned.

Thanks! Very cool video. I meditated my way right through grade school. Always in a whole other place doing entirely more interesting things. Even being kept in at recess didn’t stop me from all my “daydreaming” (prison break😅). Even being scorned and kept inside for punishment at lunch and after school didn’t work. I’d draw my world on every last available inch of my desktop. Washing it off wasn’t perceived by me as a punishment. To me, it was simply me preparing my next canvas. I think my work around nature has seriously pissed people off a lot. For someone that everyone describes as “so zen” and “so patient” I certainly seem to trigger an alarming amount of people. So much so, that I’m now a happy little hermit. I can’t wait for the spring to finally come so I can do my nature meditations again. I love to wander through the woods. This winter has been exceptionally long and where I live and there’s *still* loads of snow on the ground. Earth did need all this moisture though, soo, it’s actually good. Now my water well won’t collapse.
Coming back to class actually felt like waking up from a dream and it literally felt like stepping in and out, between two worlds. As a child I believed I was just a “daydreamer” as all the adults had labelled me. It wasn’t until I was a teenager and began my guided meditations with the big old 70s style headphones, at night, that I learned the truth. That was when I realized what I did throughout my earlier childhood was actually meditation. Not “daydreaming”. There’s a big difference. That’s why I still learned. I was in a whole different reality, yet I was still absorbing all my lessons! I just learned them all in a verrry different way through a verrrry abstract and strange filter. As an adult, I finally learned why I’m sooo different, while at work. I learned of my odd, verrry rare and even cognitively different (“whole brain, zen like pattern”) personality type, via a forced personality test that our boss made us take. She already suspected this result out of me, as she also knows one of my odd rare personalities well, since she’s married to one of my kind, lol! So she wanted to know if she was correct about me. She was. That was almost ten years ago, now.
What I’ve learned is that life will come and answer your questions if you simply be patient, relax and allow for it to come in, in whatever ways are most natural and flow easiest. That’s the best way to receive information. Just cast out your big information net. Then, patiently and graciously wait for all the wisdom fishies to swim into it and into the human awareness. Knowledge may be power but wisdom is *peace.* To be balanced, whole, and well rounded, I must have a healthy cache of both, within me.
I’m an introverted intuitive dominant. That means my dominant cognitive function, the one I lead with and the earliest developed cognitive function within my cognitive functions stack (which was why I basically lived in it as a child), was intuition. I am an intuitive.

The real Truth cannot be said, it is pure silence and Peace!!
All the Monasteries the other side of the social market place.. They don't have any difference, because the people in both cases are the same.
The truth can be realized this moment, if we are TOTAL in our actions!!

Wow. Amazed to come across this story. My husband is very good at meditation and he teaches others too. I used to take him where his group people would gather to exchange views and do meditation under his guidance. When sometimes I come across them, they used to ask me why I do not attend this classes. I used to tell that I can not meditate like this. My mind is preoccupied with other errands that are my responsibility keep haunting me while sitting here with closed eyes. That is not this meditation practice he is teaching here. So it is better I do my work giving my 100%. I love cooking, painting, sewing and keeping my home organised with my minimal assets. It gives me immense joy and satisfaction when I do my best in my task to complete. And here also it says the same thing. SO, I am good where I am doing my duty at my best. Thanks.
