  • Dominic came to Enhanced PT when he began suffering with lateral epicondylitis and a partial tear of the extensor mechanism. He suffered from elbow stiffness, swelling, decreased grip strength, and diminished range of motion. After working closely with Dr. Kurian, Dominic's movement improved 80% in just 8 visits and is now enjoying a pain-free life!

    Wow! This makes me realize why I am still in so much pain, a year after going through PT. My PT did absolutely NOTHING like this! All they did was massage and ultrasound.
    Wish I could go to this guy!

    I just had MWM done today on my elbow by Pursuit Physiotherapy in Red Deer, AB, Canada. Earlier in the morning, I was surfing the net, trying to figure out if cross-fibre friction had any scientific backing. Stumbled upon Mulligan MWM, found that it did have backing, called around town to see if it was known, found out that Pursuit knew about it, and Bingo!, got an appointment that afternoon. Extremely comprehensive initial session for diagnosis, and then just a couple of minutes of MWM. I could barely believe that the pain I had for much of previous 2 1/2 months left me, just like that. Of course, there is still a lot of healing to do, and MWM didn't do anything about my triceps tendons, but I'm much happier and optimistic now.
    I know it sounds crazy, but just google it and start reading the various scientific journal abstracts. I'm SO glad that I did, since normal physio and self-treatment up to that point didn't seem to be doing anything.

    Very good video doctor Jacob. I want to know how long did it take for the eight visits to see 80% improvement

    All good but what is the proposed mechanism as to why this treatment works? I would like to know that so I can explain it to my patients

    Did not understand what the belt is doing. Appears to be applying an AP glide of radius and ulna. Was your upper hand stabiling or having a directive force?- thank you

      i think his both hands are only stabilizing and belt is giving lateral glide to forearm bones

    • @enhancedptny
      @enhancedptny  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, both hands are stabilizing. One on the distal humerus and the other over the forearm. The belt is gliding the ulna laterally. For more info please refer to Mulligan’s 6th edition manual. Tracking force by using the belt juts enough to rid the pain. Make sure fine adjustments of the angle of glide for pain relief.

      @@enhancedptny Why is this called a lateral glide? In an anatomical stance it seems the movement would be medial? Are you pulling towards the ceiling with the belt or are you pulling towards yourself?
