    I have three questions:
1- If I do MWM with my patient, do I need to glide the entire joint or can I just take the radial head and do an anteroposterior glide?
2- Why is the movement a finger flexion when the flexors are muscles of the medial epicondyle? I thought the Mulligan MWM technique for lateral epicondylitis was meant to contract the lateral epicondylar muscles (so wrist extension + supination).
3- Related to the previous question, several scientific articles on the Mulligan technique suggest that the Mulligan's MWM along with eccentric exercises is more effective. How can an articular glide be performed simultaneously with an eccentric contraction of the lateral epicondylar muscles?"
    thank you :)

Over 1.5 years of pain in both arms. Can barely pick up a soda over handed. Orthopedic has given me 4 shots in my right arm and 2 in my left. I’ve done every “exercise” or stretch I can find. This one is new , let’s give it a go. At this point I’m ready to just cut the arms off, tired of shoving pain pills down my throat all the time

Thank you, Matt. We got lucky on the audio on this one because we were just using the video camera on my phone.
The most useful exercise for elbow pain, as long as it is not a result of a cervical (neck) issue, is this one:th-cam.com/video/MWedi-geY5w/w-d-xo.html&t
Try this for several days and if not better, let me know.

Dr.Sam, thanks for posting this technique. Is this a Mulligan technique by chance?

TheMadDawg, this tends to be more helpful for lateral elbow pain (tennis elbow / lateral epicondylitis). For medial elbow pain try this exercise (10-15 reps every 3-4 hours). th-cam.com/video/MWedi-geY5w/w-d-xo.html
Do it consistently for 2-3 days and then get back to me and let me know if it helped or not. If it didn't help, I can suggest another exercise: Thank you for watching and commenting.

What is the purpose of this mobilization? Will this actually increase grip strength if done regularly or merely cause a temporary decrease in pain during grip?

Is there an MWM treatment for medial elbow tendonitis? I've only been able to find videos for lateral.

I was wondering about the motion with the other hand that is doing the mobilization. Is it just straight up a push into the direction you're holding the angle at or is there a rotating motion too or even something else?

Thank you for your question. You are pushing in the same plane that your elbow is in, so across your body towards to door. Does that make sense?
