      Is that medically approved that it helps?? As I'm using some elastic armband which covers whole elbow areas and I did not find that this compression helps, but maybe to use only band before elbow (the one from your link) would be better??

    • @AskDoctorJo
      @AskDoctorJo  5 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The band one I show puts pressure on the tendons a little lower, so there is not pressure right at the joint. It usually helps most people.

    I injured my elbow 4 months ago and had pain every day. I couldn’t even pick up a carton of orange juice without having pain. My doctor told me to check out your You Tube channel and start some strength training. I’ve been doing these exercises faithfully twice a day for the past month. This week was the first time in 4 months that I’ve been pain free! Thank you for all you do Dr. Jo!

    The power of stretching can never be overemphasized. I was suffering from tennis elbow for at least 3 weeks now, not understanding why, but just doing what you suggested in the beginning of this video ( stretching with fist down ) 4 reps for me just for added measure, gave me instant relief. Thanks a lot Dr. Jo! I will be stretching much more daily from now on.

    This has been so helpful! I have been in pain for awhile and I've been looking up videos but came across your just now and from following along with you I can feel a bit of relief already especially when I put pressure on that area, beforehand I would put pressure on the actual area that was bothering me and often wondered why no one had the brace in pictures on that area but after watching and understanding the reason it goes on that muscle I instantly put pressure there with my hand and oooh my I felt such an instant relief! It's was the best my arm has felt in a few weeks, I also did the light movements and the soft tissue mobilization exercises and just want to say thank you thank you thank you! I am so very thankful I have found your video.

    Thank you for your videos Dr. Jo!! I fractured my radial head (elbow) a month ago due to a fall. No cast, a sling if I wanted (opted no), ROM, heat/ice were prescribed. I learned that it can take up to 10 -12 weeks for the fx to heal. The tendons/ligaments were also strained. I purchased the SIMIEN ArmBar & braces as a set. What a game changer! Being diligent with the exercises you prescribe for tennis/golfer’s elbow & the use of this tool has made a huge difference. Not a ‘feel good’ session but slowly feeling the progression. Love that you’re a doggie person too!! 🐾

    I rarely ever leave comments, but I wanted to be to let you know how much I appreciate you for posting this video. I have been looking all over the place for a good complete source of practical exercises and tips for improving my tennis elbow. I wish I found your video first. It is without a doubt one of the best I’ve ever found. You are so thorough, your explanations of f what you want to do and why are so easy to understand, and your put everything I needed to find all in one great video. You also made something that is pretty dry to be interesting. It is super obvious that you not only know what you’re talking about, but you also know how to explain it to lay people. It’s also obvious that you love what you do, and you love helping people who are hurting and looking for relief. Thanks so much for sharing this video and for doing what you do.
