Today we react to iRacing seen in the Quest 3 for the first time! How is the display resolution affecting racing sims? Are these clear lenses helping? Is the Quest 3 field of view up to the task? - เกม
iRacing is the ONLY reason I got VR. And it was the only reason I got triples a while ago. Sometimes I try other games and other sims just because I see cool videos of them and they give me an itch, but half an hour later I'm back to iRacing because it's that much better than anything else, especially if you race online. My pockets forbid me.
iRacing is really a great driving simulation and VR augments the hell out of it... it's not just fun it's a learning tool.
I do highly suggest you get into some gaming, VR has a lot to show, just glance over this channel you'll see I am no short of content!
"You need great field of view so you can see in your blind spots" 😅 almost as funny as the day i found my mother in law trying to stick magnets to a wooden door and couldn't guess why they wasnt working 😅😅😅😅😅😅
Such an awesome review haha, very entertaining and natural compared to the “corporate” feel of other bigger channels. Earned yourself a subscriber! :)
Best thing switch from flat to vr is the middle pilon you kind of see trough it now because of how real 3d vision works
Same thing with dirt on front window
Yep, the blind spot is completely gone thanks to depth perception. 😎
I'm waiting for my Quest 3 to be delivered(hopefully in the next couple of days) and will be using it predominately for PCVR. Seeing your review of it in iRacing just makes me glad I made the choice to get it over other headsets. It's replacing my HTC-Vive which has been great over the years and reliable, but resolution wise, is just not good enough any more. The screendoor effect is terrible on it.
Great Video
How did you solve the Full screen and Mouse cursor problems ?
I'm fairly sure I always launch the game in a window. There isn't really a point to using full screen since I'm running VR anyway, and I use SteamVR Display VR View or the Oculus Mirror to record my footage. Ironically while the game isn't full screen, the Display VR View window is! 🤭
Hi, just to let you know that setting Link Sharpening to Normal often gets much better results than Quality in the Oculus Debug Tool.
Link sharpening on Disabled is the best result.
nice video man, my quest 3 is due to be divered in two days, What steering box are you using, I quess it a direct drive?
No, it's just a plain Logitech wheel and it's lasted me years and has decent enough FFB. I hope you enjoy your Quest 3, mine has been a blast so far!
lol its funny seeing FTX decal on the car now
I wish I had spent more time in that car I would've eventually said something about that 😂
Great video mate! What video card are you using?
RTX 2080 Ti, for this sim it's plenty, this ran great on my old GTX 1080 as well.
Awesome thanks for the response, and good to know!
give this man some subs yo
Hi, are you able to use iRacing VR without steam. i like most people run iRacing via the app or website. How are you launching iRacing ?
I use it without Steam... I log in to the website and then launch the UI from their web interface.
I think I could just go straight to the UI but it's just habit for me.
Yes, OpenXr is supported so no Steam needed.
what resolution are you using on the oculus app ? and wich graphicscard is in use ?
1.0 resolution, RTX 2080 Ti at the time of this video (Using 4080 now)
In retrospect I would have preferred 1.2x resolution, but it wasn't bad enough to make me want to switch then and there.
🏁👍
My Question 3 beats my hp reverb g2, with my 3090 system, but I can’t get iracing working with steam air-link wireless. Otherwise my go to
Assume you meant Quest 3... now you confused me a little: Are you using Oculus Airlink or Steam Link? I normally don't use Oculus Airlink with iRacing given you won't want any more latency than what you get over the wire for racing. However I have never even tried it with Steam Link... I'm curous to know in either case what happens when you try it.
@@Stereo3DPlays it’s the Steam-link I use! I get trapizoidal type of distortion related to head movements… ACC is brilliant, in Quest 3, I can up my graphics a bit and still get 90 fps, falls off with more traffic obs
@@TheManxMarauderGive it a shot with the wired Oculus Link solution, it's even better. Steam Link is 100% wireless and so it induces about 3-5ms of inevitable wifi latency. Plus you get the upside of wired bitrates and a wider encoder width.
Just a shame there is so many configurations and setting for all this stuff 😢 if only someone would invent a computer 😂
@@TheManxMarauder ...a computer that computes the computer HAHAHAHA
Do not buy a quest 3 for sim racing at all. It is not a good head set for this type of gaming.
Why do you say that? Nearly everyone recommends it for sim racing on Reddit, TH-cam and all.
I use it for sim racing. and it’s amazing
I have no idea what stagnant rancid pond you dredged that comment out of but Quest 3 is actually excellent for driving sims. Field of view is decent (better than Quest 2, but less than Index) and lens and image clarity is vastly superior to any mainstream headset.
@murorder that's the issue your playing games when you should be playing sims. This headset blows my index away with its clarity. I suspect you haven't even tried the Q3 on iracing or any other sim?
@@Simlife101 Well, the Quest 3 is perfect for both games and sims! Yall should be playing scary games (the contrast levels are amazing in this thing) and wild simulations alike!
