I like how the title screen, menu, and race start music are from MK64. I've also never heard that Circuit theme. I thought the beta version used what ended up being used for GBA Mario Circuit in Mario Kart 8.
sweet mario kart super circuit beta goodness. :) seriously, i wish i could play this rom. this just interests me because there is stuff in here that wiuld be great discovery if we can get our hands on these prototypes, especially the first one with the big mario bobble head, and this one with a completely different title screen and mario kart 64 music in the gba soundfont among other differences in prototypes like this.
its not just the different music and menu layouts/gui design, but the tracks/circuits are different too. Big Tree Circuit kinda resembles Peach's Circuit if you take a look at the map layout.
Interesting how the original Circuit Theme sounds like Cheese Land, I wonder if the game's soundtrack originally had a common leitmotif in the music like Mario World does and decided to scrap it with Cheese Land being the only one left that had the leitmotif?
Can someone try to reproduce the musics used in the beta and upload them to TH-cam? They honestly sound good in the GBA soundfont, I tried to do it myself, but I can't understand a thing on how to convert things with the audio of the Mario Kart 64 music and I'd like to listen to the full version of the songs

I also gotta say, Lakitu's animation looks much nicer here.

You're right about the Beta Circuit theme being used for the MK8 GBA Mario Circuir
The way Mario drove in on the title screen omg🔥
The melody for the circuit theme reminds me of Cheese Land a lil.
True. There's also a part that sounds like Water Park from MK8.
I hope someone managed to find and dump this beta. That beta music from MK64 sounds WAAAY too good.

We can all agree that the sound effects here are better than in the final release
