- @GrantHorvatGolfs had a big match against the @Bobdoessports boys coming up and needed to get dialed. What better place to come than the PGA TOUR Superstore STUDIO on Trackman to learn exactly how far he's hitting every club in the bag - including some new TaylorMade P-770 copper irons? Here's how far G hits every single club in his bag.

I can’t believe he hit every club in his bag with that tee right there next to the ball the entire time…
id be hitting that tee with most my clubs🤣🤣
why? it's not like he hit it off the tee
I keep coming back to this to watch Grant's swing- that side bend and so on plane.
Grants swing is like a hot knife through butter...... smooth
On those 60deg shots it was estimating spin and doing a poor job of it (saying it was spinning at 6-7k when it was almost certainly spinning more like 10k+) which probably accounts for the distance surprise
Yeah, he was hitting 11,000 with the 56° when it was actually measured. He was basically getting fliers with the estimated low spin 60°. Seemed to be pretty low spin throughout the bag too. Hitting off mats usually sees about 1000rmp less than grass, so makes sense when he said 220 is a good one outside with his 4 iron.
Agreed, it was way under-estimating spin on some of the wedge shots. So his Lob wedge was likely more around 85 yard carry when you toss on an extra ~3000 spin.
That’s cause TrackMan sucks indoors
Interesting to see his club head speed vs distance. I have a sim at home and my irons go similar distance with more club head speed and similar spin rates. Goes to show how well he strikes the ball.
We need a PGA Superstore in Columbia SC!!
One is coming to Greenville at the end of the year!
Grants got such a fantastic swing. Seldom do you see scratch golfers and pros not have a pretty swing, but it's the repeatability, balance and headspace that sets them apart. Used to play competitively back in HS and played to about a 3/4/5 hdcp when i played all the time, just couldn't get over that hump to scratch. It's a big difference from a 4-5 to scratch. I'm almost 34 now, haven't played in about 5 years but its thanks to Grant and Brysons content that have single handedly gotten me back into wanting to play again and watch on TV. Golf is an enigma but a beautiful game nonetheless. Cool to see that new "Mini" driver in his bag. I remember back in the day when the Ti Bubble, Burners and Callaway Berthas were all the rage, they were about that size as "standard" drivers lol. The old orange TM scheme brings back a lot of memories of when I first started playing. Was about 8 or 9 when I my parents got me a sweet TM kids starter set that I used for a good 3+ years. Been a TM fan ever since.
You have such an effortless swing.
Maybe it's time to see Trottie again to get those wedge distances fine tuned? Would love to see another video at the Kingdom. Maybe 50:54:60??????????
Grant love your videos on club distance you didn’t give the degrees on your 3& driver thanks Tom B
I got 5-9 iron, 46, 50, 54, 60 wedges, putter, 19° hybrid, 13° 3 wood, and a driver. Only got 13 clubs, maybe i should buy a 5 wood to make it 14. First, I need to go to an indoor simulator to find out my gapping on my clubs.
Took my recently snapped 8 iron into the PGA Superstore in Dublin, OH....called multiples times and they said they were taking care of it. 4 weeks later I go into the store and it took them an hour to find my club because they had zero paperwork on it and never ordered the shaft. Manager assured me the whole thing would be taken care of for free. 2 weeks later the guy wouldn't return any calls or answer any emails. Had to go in and take my club somewhere else.
You sound like an angry guy I’m shocked they didn’t treat you well
Please bring a store to Oregon.
Did you make any loft tweeks?
His wedges are one club more than mine, 9i and 5i are two clubs more. The rest of the irons are one club more than mine. A difference is his numbers are on the carry and mine are with rollout...so 1 club +. His hybrid is about my driver. LOL
Its really crazy that i hit all of my short clubs 10-14 yards further than Grant but he carries his driver further than my total distance with the driver lol
That is intentional. Players of Grants level don't want some of their scoring clubs to go that far
He plays mb and cbs lol that’s prob why
@@jeffpeters3601P770’s are not MB and CB’s lol. They’re actually pretty hot for players/players distance irons.
@@jeffpeters3601he played p770s they are pretty strong
Because he doesn’t use game improvement irons 😂😂
Sooo smooothhh
I hit my mizuno t22 wedges 15 yards further. Our irons and woods are about the same. I carry my driver about the same as my 3 wood. About 260. My driver definitely needs work. 😢
why the ball speed changes after the shot? any tweak?
What degree is your pitching wedge?
Hey, I do not have the same game as Grant, but I have the same bag!
It would be nice to know the loft on every club.
So what’s his mini driver distance?? Saw that in the bag but didn’t see the yardages
I don’t think he’s even hit it on video apart from maybe once? Clearly a TM marketing stunt.
Crazy that he thought his 60 deg only went 80 😂
I know grant is over 6’2” does he have longer shafts even for his wedges curious cuz I’m close to the same height
6’4” here and generally no for the better players. The scoring clubs are all about control and you’re not trying to nuke them any further than need be. I once had a set lengthened 1” through my lob wedge with the wedges essentially being 9 iron shaft thickness. Just no.
Generally at max just lengthen your clubs by .5” unless you have T-Rex arms. Also look at Grant’s wrist to knee ratio. He has monkey arms.
My yardages are almost identical to his.
125 ball speed should mean 12.5 gapping. Bump that 9i up a degree or 2
We need a superstore in Nashville!
You're in luck - opening in Franklin/Cool Springs later this year!
Grant your last two 60 degree wedges missed the spin down at 7200 that’s why they carried so far.
Yea I wonder if his grooves need to be cleaned or something. His 56 was spinning over 11K
@@cameroncampbell5447 Wesley always bugs him about his grooves being dirty lol.
The grooves definitely were a little dirty 🤣
He forgot 1 club - his Putter 😂😂
Man it amazes me how grant can hit so many pure shots in a row
How do you know they were all in a row?
Why’s that? You do know he’s been playing his entire life n his father is a pro.
@@Briguy933 yea I know I guess I’m just jealous lol
@@keasy395 just get out to the range. Can’t learn it from the couch 🤟🏻
@@Briguy933 he started playing when he was like 14 I think he said so more like 10 yrs
I only watched 90 seconds of this video so I can only comment on the 60 degree wedge. You can see the spin rate number is italicized, that means the TM4 is guesstimating the spin rate, because they are not using the ProV1 RCT balls nor did they put a metallic sticker on the ball Grant is hitting. 7xxx spin on a full 60 degree shot is evidently WAY too little spin, I’m pretty confident if Grant used a RCT ball that spin number is going to be closer or above 10k, meaning the carry yardage is going to be shorter as well. When you’re doing gapping and yardages you HAVE to get accurate spin numbers otherwise the yardages are meaningless.
What was the temperature setting for the simulator?
It was normalized for where we were in Florida.
I can hit a driver 450 down the middle every time on PGA Tour Superstore's launch monitors. Not my driver, of course.... just whichever one they're trying to sell me.
Did Grant hit his Mini Driver?
What are those shoes. I like them a lot if anyone could help me out
OluKai!
Never ever see you use the mini driver.its in the bag but, you never use it.only seen you use it in one short promo and thats it
I have very similar nber to yourself Grant. Obviously not as consistent. I thought my spin numbers was a little low but looking at yours makes me feel abit more confident. I just need to start puring more shots.
@pgatoursuperstore Can I just rent a bag for an hour or so for some practice and dial in distances?
You can rent practice bays for either 30 or 60 minutes, but we don't do rental clubs at this time.
@@PGATOURSuperstore thanks, I meant bay, but it auto corrected to bag
We have the same yardages until that ol 4 iron comes out from there on he surpasses me 😭
All my clubs go the same distance besides Driver a wedge. It’s been rough. Trying to rotate a compress. Any tips?
try hitting them different distances
pick a new sport
weird I hit the 4 iron just as far as he does. but there is no way I can hit a 60 90yrds.
No putter??
But how far can you hit the putter 😂
To the lip!
I think the sim is way off. I'd like to see this on the range with laser scope.
His wedge grooves on the 60 were dirty which we only realized after the fact! Spin was definitely off on those shots.
Hey PGA superstore, I'm getting a new iron set this summer and want to go to the superstore near me. What is your collection of club shafts like? I'm switching to either a lightweight steel or graphite in the 85-90gm range.
Would recommend booking a STUDIO fitting for the best experience. 75 minutes all to yourself with pretty much every iron shaft you'd want to try. pgatoursuperstore.com/book
I don’t recommend the superstore tbh. You should try to find a local fitter somewhere near you that is non-commission based and has good reviews. Golf digest has a list of the top instructors in each state. That could be a good place to start.
What are you going to do. Call and ask "hey do you get commission?" Club manufacturers pay commission on there new equipment only. If you get fit and measure out to be any length or lie angle changes your better off going with the new stuff. Otherwise you need to get the older heads and have them custom built. Good club builders are harder to find then fitters. You will be dealing with a garage warrior. Even if there working in a Golf Galaxy, Dicks sporting or PGA super store.
@@ciaranw1888 I’m just saying a lot of people get fit by Salesman rather than knowledgeable club fitters. Do some research and find the best club fitters near you instead of going to Golftech, the superstore, golf galaxy etc. I am going to Wade Heintzelman next week. He works at a 2 man shop - just him and his club builder. There’s lots of good advice on Reddit and golf forums. It just takes a little bit of effort.
@@brianschultz7320 PGA Tour Superstore fitters do not earn commission. Also, they are all certified fitters.
I miss the mizuno221 grant
Grant's gaps in distances look to be all club head speed driven-not club/loft driven
Huh? His speed increases proportionally to the increase in length of each club. That's how clubs work.
@@EdReed20DB if you watch all the club head speeds for each iron, its all clubhead speed driven. His clubhead speed did not increase evenly across the set of irons like it should have. Each iron is 1/2" longer than the higher pitched one before it, i know how clubs work. The extra 1/2" nets about 2 mph more for a swing speed like his. His speeds across the clubs were not proportional. Where he hit longer than the expected distance/gap, it was due to he swung faster, easily seen on the launch monitor screen.
@@Ifishmo that’s just normal fluctuation in swing speed bud, you’re not gonna swing the exact same every time
is this the lady lake location?
I’m guessing it’s palm beach gardens based on where he lives
Yep - Palm Beach Gardens
Forgot the putter
Are this wedges raw or copper?
Just the standard MG4's with a bit of rust on the face
hitting a 60 95yds???? Dang... I can't hit it 60 yards. He must be 6'3 or something. AHH okay he is 6'4". I'm a foot shorter.
I have the same p770 and our yardages are pretty much the same
I always gain a couple inches in length when I watch Grant swing😊
Our 16 year old took up golf a year ago. Playing ping blueprint retro loft blades and his carry numbers are longer through 7 then about the same from there through driver. Timing is key to distance. Getting that swoosh just past impact gets max club speed where you need it. He hits these numbers w a 3/4 swing. When he goes full, he screws up timing and numbers plummet. Slow is fast and fast is slow.
Grants shots would go so much farther if he would throw his back right shoulder harder during the downswing
I really doubt he’s trying to get anymore distance. He has good distance already. He’s looking for more control on his shots which tbh is more important.
Some of these reading are inaccurate. When the spin numbers get in cursive the trackman did not get the spin and is guessing and the carry gets messed up. For example your 97 yard carry lobwedge had spin like a 6i shot. Trackman indoors is not great at reading spin
We switched to the RCT balls after the 60 degree - was using his TP5's for the first few
they gotta juice the numbers at golf galaxy right? selling new clubs probably easier when everybody that demo's a new driver gains 10-15 yards! or am i just being cynical?
no shot there is a 40y gap in carry between driver and 3w
What did he do set the altitude to 3000?
You're joking right? My 3 wood loft is 14.5 and my Driver is 9. The shaft length 2 inches longer. How is that not possible?
40 yard gap is exactly where i sit between 3w on the floor vs Driver on the tee
Well I doubt he would’ve changed the altitude in between clubs… plus his ball speed/spin/launch numbers are in line with a gap of that size. It’s also a pretty standard difference when you take into acct launch and spin. He also hit the 3 wood off the deck and not a tee like the driver.
he probably hits 3 wood 20 yard longer if he hits off the tee vs. off the ground. I hit 3 wood 270 off the tee and 250 off the ground
His typical driver carry is probably closer to 285 outdoors. Just was mashing it on the simulator!
Leaving the Good Good circus was a fantastic decision by Grant. The guy is a celeb now!
P770’s are a game improvement iron for those saying they ain’t. You don’t get a smash factor of 1.45 with traditional mb’s or cb’s. You also don’t get those distances with his swing speed. I had the 2024 770’s and it drove me crazy how inconsistent the distances were. I went back to Ben hogan icons. Lofts are just 1 degree weaker than the 770’s but every iron goes about 10 yards less in distance. When struck well the ball stops on a dime. I couldn’t get that with the 770’s
Them fraudman numbers
1:37 As many times as he has played, how does this guy not know how far each of his clubs go 😂😂 I thought he was serious about going pro 🤔
seemed like he stayed around +/- 5yds with is estimates. you never have the same strike twice , you just try to get as close to perfect as you can be, so being in that range for a youtube content creator is pretty good if you ask me.
@@henrymckean8947 TH-cam content creator with sponsorship.... he better be in that range with all the sponsorship help.. some of us folks can do better than that without sponsorship...
he said he just put the irons in his bag.
I wouldn't trust a single number that trackman spits out indoors not sure why they went to it just like golf Galaxy did now they both sucked to get fitted there 🤡
Incorrect my dude
grant is very average low HC. Nothing special.
I'd pay a ton of money to be an average low capper
You have no idea what you're talking about. The dude has a swing that even some tour pros would fawn over. Say you're jealous without saying it...
@@WiLDCATZ lmao typical non golfer comment. He has a great move, that doesn’t make you a good golfer or scorer. He’s a terrible putter. Keep gushing over another dudes swing then go check out Jake Knapp. A real professional.
@@PGATOURSuperstore there’s no way around that. Golf is expensive :). Plenty of 1-2 HC out there that play the same country club course over and over. HC is one dimensional. Low doesn’t always equal great.
You are next level dumb as fuck, or just like trolling for attention. I'm a 2.5, been a scratch in the past, he is much better than I've ever been, he's easily a + handicap. His swing is extremely good, far from an average low HC, he doesn't just have a good swing either, his entire game is solid.
That was an absolutely terrible miss hit with that 7 iron. I would be so embarrassed after that. Would honestly just quit golf
I can’t stand this dude. He’s everywhere and it’s truly annoying. He’s a mediocre golfer at best and yeah let’s hit balls on turf with zero variables to tell TH-cam how far I can hit. Wow.
hes a plus 1 handicap, but your saying hes mediocore lol thats easily 1% of golfers. Use your brain before leaving a stupid comment
