Lost 65 lbs. No medical issues, just wanted to be healthier. I've seen what sugar and junk foods addiction did to loved ones, they passed away, that is my motivation.
I was quite shocked what sugar does, my clothes now fit well after just 11 days following advice from Dr Berg. Im sticking to it, its worth it. I dont feel so hungry even at lunchtime, im always hungry by 1pm, not anymore, i am eating lunch but a very small amount.
Two years ago I gained weight due to anxiety and stress. I still haven't been able to lose weight and it has completely lowered my self esteem and immunity . I get sick often and feel tired all day. I'm slowly starting to incorporate your advices in my daily life. I hope to feel confident about my body and feel healthy again. I'm so glad I discovered your channel!
Great to hear. Also exercise is a massive boost. If you exercise for fun and use HIIT approach, with gradiated improvements, using bodyweight, you will not believe how much progress you make. Key thing is to visualise. When you can envisage this and feel the happiness you will see amazing changes. And visualisation takes a moment.
I was there too. Go to his videos about how to start. Take notes. Buy the food you need, supplements and electrolytes. Don't listen to the naysayers (they have their own baggage.) You CAN do it!!
I was 418 pounds and now I am 203 pounds. I am happy. My motivations were... 1. My father died of a heart attack and he was fit. and the doctor said it could run in the family so take care of yourself. 2. I went to dorney park one time n tried to get on a ride and it took 3 people to help secure the belt. Most embarrassing thing ever cause everyone was watching. 3. I love to dance and i would get tired soooo fast and i knew something had to be done. 4. Got tired of not finding clothes that fit how i would like them to fit.
Congrats. That's amazing. I'm down 96lbs myself. Down to 197. Got about 25 more to go, but thanks to Keto and IF, I actually believe I'm going to get there.
I never thought I would make it to onederland(under 200 pounds) and now I am. I used to think if I had to be rescued what a terrible burden I would be. Now I'm 177 heading for 150👍👍👍. My highest weight was 275. In my 60s I'm walking almost everyday and when I saw Dr. Begs video on the rebounder had to get one so I've added a few minutes of bouncing into that too. IF is the way to go. Thank God for Dr. Berg❤
I’m a sugar aholic and had a very hard time changing, I haven’t done perfect keto yet but I started by changing one thing at a time and substituting with something better and I’ve made major changes in my health, cleaned my arteries from 2 major heart attacks ( widow maker) diabetes is gone, haven’t had a cold going on 8 years etc. thank you for all your advice.
I saw my side pic from my best friend's engagement ceremony ...that motivated me to work on myself.. well, it went like this ...88Kg to 65Kg with mindful eating, IF and HomeWorkouts...and also 10,000 steps.
I accidentally stumbled across your channel.. I’m binge watching ALL your videos. I have never had anyone explain all these things to me in a way my ADD brain could understand!!! You make it very simple for me to grasp and I have a feeling my life will be changing forever in a very good way🥺 You are a Godsend♥️
This is what I needed. For the last year with this pandemic, I lost my motivation; eating poorly and lack of exercise. I’ve gained a few pounds 😭. Thank you, Dr. Berg!
Me too, I ate a lot of processed foods in the pandemic bc I only went to supermarket once a month and frozen processed food last longer, also a lot of food delivery. I barely moved and gained 40 lbs...
Today, the lesson is kind of a special lesson because there are no nutrients, medications or foods to talk about them only motivation speach. Thank you Dr.
I’ve always been 165 pounds throughout my earlier adult life. At 36 I saw the scale at 190. I hold my weight all over and nobody would guess I was that heavy. So, I could have been content with that knowing I don’t look horrible at that weight but when I saw that number on the scale, I knew I had to do something. I never wanted to be even close to that number. Even being pregnant with my first child I only got up to 173. My knees start hurting while walking up the stairs and exercising. I started Keto 2 weeks ago after a long journey of researching it. Ive lost 7 pounds. Yes, it’s hard getting started, but I think the hardest part is having the patience to wait to see the results. We are so used to immediate results in life and this is going to have to be one you have to wait for. It took years to put on and may take years to come off. I’m glad I did it now rather than later.
@@wedding426 I think what I was doing is called “Dirty Keto” with 20 net carbs BUT!!!! I noticed a stall in week three and I am trying Dr. Eric Westmans approach with 20 TOTAL carbs a day to see how this does for me. I want to get down to 150. I never stopped eating keto though. I’m just trying to be more strict now because I may just be one of those unfortunate people that have to REALLY limit the carbs until I can slowly reincorporate them on occasion.
Yes, many people don’t check ingredients or research the harm some ingredients do like aspartame, corn syrup, and all the oils that sound healthy. It really makes me mad that the health care systems don’t teach us more like Dr. Berg. Dr Berg is awesome 👏
In the last 2 years i gained more than 25 pounds bc I changed my eating habits (started making and eating a lot of sour dough bread), stopped exercising,. Now I realise that I was in a bad place in life and was quite depressed. As Anthony Robbins says, a month ago I decided (in a moment) to get back my life again - what motivated me is the feeling of “betrayal” to myself. Now I practice yoga every day, do dance class 3 times a week, organised my meals again (I am lacto ovo vegetarian) and I feel I get back in track. Still as I am at the age of 47, I take it slow, I feel tension on my knees and do not want to hurt myself. Dr. Eric then I found your videos on youtube and they are great, thank you for everything you share, your voice is so calming. I am still taking sugar and not on keto diet, not on intermittent fasting but I think i will get there soon.Blessings.
My class was filming one day in our classroom. A few weeks later we watch the film and I was thinking "Who is that enormous GUY sitting amongst us, Ive never seen him before. Is he new in class?" A few seconds later I realised it was me. 🥸
I sang in a choir pre-Covid and we performed at a music festival in 2019. When I saw the pics that they took of us I was, who is that person? Other women were saying, you look nice. Yeah, but I don't feel good within myself. That's when I found Dr Berg on TH-cam and I lost 16lbs over three months. My body is now how I want it to be. I now look in the mirror every day to make sure I stay on track.
Health- better quality of life. Watching Dr. Berg’s channel is the best motivation for health. Weight comes off as a bonus from good health and lifestyle.
& the most important thing is not to put yourself under too much pressure. Start with a target weight loss, a 21 day challenge, a 42 day challenge a 60 day challenge. Did you know you can take a simple Quiz to start your incredible journey ? Ask me how...
Started this journey on the 1st of March. So far 7kg gone, feeling good watching your videos for the past 5 years one by one. U are really good in explaining things. Thank you doc for saving me from all soughts of diseases. Eating one meal per day and that meal is green salad.
I am another patient #1. Over the years I stopped looking in mirrors, but I did it subconsciously. Avoiding mirrors is easier to do than what people may realize, because shopping for clothes becomes just a number, since clothes beyond a certain size fit more like a bathrobe than a swimsuit. After starting therapy 6 months ago, the root causes of my low self esteem, self worth, and self hatred became clear. While improving my mental health, I started to focus on things I had lost interest in, and that is when I had my 'shadow' moment. New Sub here. Been on Keto and IF for a month, and I am doing well. To not focus on numbers, I am not weighing myself. I am having success though, because my clothes are not only fitting better, they are loose on me, need to go down a size. With my therapy sessions and Dr. Berg's videos, I will be looking like a new version of me soon.
Sadly,/very depressing, I don’t even recognize myself, ugh,One day size 8, it seemed overnight size 12/13, So far so good, overall feeling healthier and full✌🏻😷
I feel very happy with what I accomplished so far , went to try a different size clothes and was thrilled than have to ask for a smaller size that the one I got , end getting a short and work to the next smaller than the one I just bought...And I got a new mirror on my bedroom.
Dr. Berg motivated me. I was 237 1-15-21 now 206. I’m 34. Dr. Berg is the only one who teaches and makes good points. I want to get down to 187. Stop sugar completely! You will feel incredible. Stop fast food too. I cheated and ate McD’s this week bc I was getting an oil change and suffered for 4 days with anxiety. I am telling you. Fast food has to be one of the biggest contributors to anxiety. I am also doing intermittent fasting Thanks to Dr. Berg!
I'm amaze of what u say dr. In the last 3 years a gained almost 10 kg and one of the reasons why that happened is because I didn't look my self at the mirror, eventhough I had to change my size for clothes. But the thing that got me to realize was the pictures where I couldn't deny no more how fat I was starting to look. So I also recomed to take whole body pictures of ourselves. Thank u for all the information u share dr. Greetings from Mexico!!
You know how people with anorexia "see" a fat person in the mirror? I think some people have the opposite. At my heaviest I would look in the mirror and while I saw a heavy woman I don't think I saw HEAVY woman. I'd think "not bad"! 🤣😩 But seeing a photo of me broke through that denial. It WAS bad!
This was totally me! Especially seeing shows like 600 pound life and thinking, well at least I’m nowhere near that size. But I need to lose 70 pounds 😬
@@peterminton8105 is there someplace I can learn about it? I want to try this at home, so if you could recommend a video, or website that specifically teaches how to do this at home, it will be a huge help. Thanks!
Body dysmorphia is very real for women. I’ve never been overweight but I’ve had to fight really hard to not gain weight and to be where I’m comfortable and fit into my favorite clothes. Over years, I’ve fluctuated 25 lbs back and forth, give or take. By the time I’ve realized I’ve gained too much weight and my clothes don’t fit, I’ve been in denial. And even times where I was at my smallest, in my head, I’ve always looked and felt exactly the same. My hard part is I give up healthy habits because I can’t see or feel the difference (even though it happened). The 125 lbs -150 lbs range has noticeably changes. But mentally, I could never see it.
The second story made my eyes watery because alot of things have happened for me to be how I am now but one of the biggest things is that I hated when men would look at me and try to talk to me. I hated attention from men and the hate I will get from jealous girls. I am getting older now and realizing alot of things so I was thinking about losing weight and start to take care of myself for me, my own health, my children and grandchildren one day.
This is so true ! I didn't look in the mirror and I did get bothered when I was younger. It felt like I couldn't go out one day without someone saying something or grabbing at me on the trains in NYC. Now's I'm on intermittent fasting using a stationary bike and Pilates machine. I have a mirror and I moved to a quiet neighborhood and I am in a rural area and I drive to my destination. I'm on the right track . Thank you Doctor. 😁🥰😄
Just validating your research of 2 years ago. It is absolutely valid today. As a nurse of 25 years, 64 years old, and Poppop to 3 active grandkids, I relate to all 6 of your reasons to get healthy. After only 1 week of healthy keto plus 18:6 IF, I am experiencing exciting results. Thanks for all your work!
I can relate to weight gain to avoid attention. I can still remember when I became invisible it was such a HUGE RELIEF!! Women stopped vibing me, most men stopped looking and flirting. I was free!! Now that I’m in my 60’s I don’t care what others think. This is my time to be my best! Thanks Dr Berg 🤗
Number two and four are what motivated me. Found out my daughter was pregnant with my first grandchild in January and I also began getting numbness in my toes on my right foot. I saw this as a symptom of becoming diabetic. I was also visiting my mother and decided to weigh while I was there. I was 216 lbs which was about 10 more than I ever remembered being. So I decided to start keto on Feb 11th. I have since lost 40 lbs and down to 176. I feel so much better and have much more energy. Really appreciate the information you put out.
what motivated me was me eating some sweet stuff while being 289lb, i was eating and just started crying and realized how bad the sweet stuff started to taste and how miserable i felt being overweight. i'm doing much better now at 190lb, it took only 8 month lose all that weight, i look much better, most of my health issues went away, i stopped feeling hungry all the time. all that without doing more than 15mins of exercise a day. all i did was have a really tight eating schedule and in literally 2 weeks i stopped feeling hungry, i feel like i could spend 2 days without eating anything, that's how better i feel. you don't need much food i realized especially if you eat the right food; you need a really balanced meal, a yoghourt a day, tea and some fruits at the evening. gl with your weight loss!
I’ve lost 110 pounds through Mediterranean keto, intermittent fasting, and working out. on my 21st birthday a week ago I decided to cheat and gained ten pounds of water weight after doing super strict less than 20g total carbs one meal every other day for 3 months. Lose weight if you want to feel better.
I have recently been on a weight loss journey, integrating intermittent fasting and ketogenic diet along with cardio exercise. My sister has been my accountability partner which has been so helpful but the best thing I have done is take pictures front, side profile, and from behind. To be able to measure your progress visually through pictures has been incredibly helpful and encouraging. I have plateaued and not lost much weight lately but I could be gaining muscle, my clothes are fitting better and better.
Dr, Berg, have you been stalking me through the computer? You could not have hit that nail more directly. Thank goodness I found you three months ago. I'm on my way to losing all the 2020 weight and I'll never stop my healthy lifestyle, thanks again to you.
I remember how I gained so much weight after leaving college. I stopped exercising for I had no motivation to look my best, especially as my work place is male dominated. Now when I look back, I feel so damn silly for neglecting my health just because I had no ladies to impress. I am currently back on HIIT and am playing squash to lose weight. I guess the best motivator for me is good health. Nothing can ever replace good health.
funny....my husband used to work around a lot of Indians.....I'm pretty sure 10 of my pounds is from Indian desserts. (and none of them were thin too!)
for me it was stairs. i was only 30 lbs overweight but still. then i saw your video about potassium and realized maybe weight isnt my problem. whole foods and omad for me doc.
In working on eating 3 times a day first than twice a day. I must stop the insulin resistance with my body. I started eating every 2 hours just snacking and never giving my body a 12 hour break from food. I'm learning so much. Thank you so much
I started intermittent fasting and never exercised lost 10 kg in 2 months I was 100kg just did push ups at home and ate healthy and took supplements. I felt like I was 20 year old and so energetic I’m 35 years old
My husband passed away 5 months ago, and a month later I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. I’ve lost 30 pounds so far, those 2 events certainly have motivated me to lose weight! Thanks for sharing your great tips.
he can change his condition and should do it the dr berg way(reduce insuline by eating low carb and emptying his freezer(fat cells) as diabetis can be reversed as hearth disease and strokes are multiple times higher in diabetics(this is not fun to have) support yr father and tell him you love him and you want him to live al long time so you can enjoy his company longer(this will motivate anyone) we all want to be loved and especially when our children tell us they want us to live as they enjoy our company.
My dad had type 2 but controlled it with diet. Are you in the US by any chance? Asking because they treat everything with drugs first over there instead of looking at a better way to deal with it.
You can be skinny and still get type 2 diabetes. High cortisol levels can cause diabetes. I put my mom on iodine by way of Dr David Brownstein’s iodine protocol. It has helped her tremendously at lowering the amount of diabetic medication, but she still has it. She’s about to get her cortisol levels tested to see if she has high cortisol levels. I believe she has Cushing syndrome as it relates to high cortisol levels. She has no fat on her arms and legs, but still has a belly.
4. Reduce a health problem...after feeling that pain in my stomach that always coming back because of my unhealthy eating, feb 2020 i was diagnosed having a fatty liver. The transition was not easy on the choice of food what to eat and needs to be avoided then feeling sick.,that pain motivates me to be healthy,im on my 3rd month on IF and KETO feel great and thank YOU so much Dr.Berg for always educating us to be heathy❤❤❤
Ha! Sometimes, Google Pics reminds me of a picture taken of myself 3, 5, 7, etc years ago...way back when I was more active and less stressed. I wasn't too big in the pic, I'm too big now! 😲🤫 Same motivator (pic) but experienced differently because of time (date). 🤔
This is such amazing advise. Your right Doc, start small, just start fasting. Over the past months I have gradually worked myself up to fasting 23 hours . I stated by just eating my breakfast later and pushing it up gradually. Last week I did a 3 day fast and I was never extremely hungry. I am so proud of myself. I had never fasted that long in my life !!! Thank you Doctor Berg , your such an amazing source of information and inspiration. My God richly bless you.
I lost weight after praying to God to ask him to help me lose weight. He revealed to me that the low carb diet would work for me, and in the last 6 months I've lost 42 pounds. Initially, it was so that I would be more physically attractive, but it turns out that the lost weight improved my blood pressure and also made me feel a lot better physically.
Lost over 100 lbs doing OMAD carnivore now at 175lbs now am 57 yr old 5’11” I used to be in shape till I moved to mainland ate the typical junk and just packed it on over ten years and got tired of being fat :) best thing is my mental alert and no more joint issues etc... so much more then clothes or other outward things to look forward to
I gained 40 lbs. over the last 6 years of being a caregiver. I developed daily heartburn, depression and anxiety, aches and pains, and at 61 my overall health was declining. After 2 months of IF and Keto, I’m down 13 lbs. and not a trace of heartburn, depression, anxiety, or body aches. Thank you Dr. Berg for helping me find my way back to good health.
Fear is what finally motivated me. I've seen too much bad health around me. I had to make major changes to redirect my life. Lectures like yours help me so much. Thank you Dr. Berg.
It really happens at different moments to different people. I put on a lot of weight during my pregnancy and 2 years later, during the pandemic, I decided to change. I lost 12kg, the last two were faster due to IF and keto, thanks to you, doctor. Greetings from Brazil.
After my first child in 2018 I did dr. Bergs healthy keto I lost 67lbs and felt amazing!!! After my second baby a year later with preeclampsia I tried to restart my journey again, well I got so sick, went septic with a kidney stone and after having gout pain, and have zero progesterone like a hott mess. I'm gaining weight so I'm frustrated but I'm doing lemon water, potassium citrate, and attempting to do low oxalate keto.
@@man_vs_life Well, we got locked out of our routines... for example, walking to the bus stop to go to work (no job during lock down), not able to go to gym (they were closed), not allowed to use public park facilities, etc. Were there other options? Of course! Absolutely! But we are mostly creatures of habit, and when forcibly removed from our routine, it's not unheard of to default to "nothing" before finding a new "something". Many people gained The COVID-19 15. 😄😄😄
@@man_vs_life no lol, I've gained a ton of muscle, fasting and still worked out in gym. Its primarily the food choice lol, binged into more carbs due to boredom and yes, lack of discipline on my behalf.. yet perhaps another case of *Man vs Life*
@@chrisWTG I was making a two pound loaf of bread every 4 or 5 days, and drinking lots of coffee with lots of sugar, oatmeal every morning with all the goodies, and by August I felt water logged, like I was sloshing when I moved. At the end of August I saw Dr. Berg's "Stop eating sugar for two weeks and see what happens", so Sept. 1 I stopped eating sugar, then stopped making bread, then cut out the oatmeal, went to keto, and lost 30 thirty pounds. I'm about where I want to be weight wise after 7 months. 2020 was the longest decade of my life.... ; )
Thats true doc as one puts on weight standing in front of the mirror goes down as you start avoiding and accepting wanting to continue eating sugar n carbs
I did IT and OMAD before and lost a lot of weight w/o even doing exercise. I wasn't even active, i was just at home studying. I honestly believe what we eat is the reason for all the excess gain and i'm trying hard these days to go back to the IT and OMAD method. Ever since i gained 10kg, i worked out everyday, strength training and cardio, you name it! But i never really watch what i ate coz i thought i was burning them anyway... but i'm so wrong. I'll work hard to eat clean and do IT again. OMAD may have to wait a lil longer after i get used to longer IT. :) Wish me luck!
I've been sexually abused, several times, during my life...I, too, gained a lot of weight...in an effort to protect myself. Dealt with the abuse and have lost 40 lbs. since last June. I have 14 more to go! Became type 2 diabetic, high triglycerides, high blood pressure and hypothyroidism.
Very True , those who come to me to start dating often need to address their diet and exercise. What’s important is that you maintain your new diet and exercise lifestyle not just for gaining a singular goal.
I had all my mirrors covered up for some time now because I could not endure looking at my image after each shower. Now that I've changed my diet significantly, I feel much better with myself, and I am still going strong until I reach that final goal...
Taking measurements helps a lot for motivation, too. I can’t always see the changes visibly or on the scale but my inches go down and my clothes start to fit better. Then the scale changes start to come again.
Dr. Berg, I am motivated with all your videos. Since March 2021, I have started IF and as of today put down weight 5KG. Thank you so much for the help.
First thanks for this video. For me I started with exercise first, here is my why. For me when I exercise I find my food cravings change, my cravings for “carbs” decrease and my cravings for “better foods” increase. I also notice that when I’m moving I’m less hungry.
Great topic! I identified with the girl who gained weight to avoid unwanted attention. Now that I am older and more fit, I feel more confident but I still needed to work through being uncomfortable with people (men) looking at me. I am a work in progress now but I realize that feeling uneasy about it had nothing to do with my physical appearance and that it was more of a confidence issue.
The part about people not realizing how overweight they are is interesting. The other day, my 3 yr old told me I was fat and I said, "I know, thanks" and I followed up with, "Please don't say that to a stranger because they know they're fat and don't need you to say it - it's rude."
I'm obese and my 4 year old nephew likes to punch me softly in the stomach (it doesn't hurt, I have a big belly and he finds it funny) and I tell him "I know I'm fat" then he looks at me seriously and tells me "you're not fat, you're beautiful" and he's my inspiration to lose weight and be healthy again someday. Even when I'm looking like a monster he tells me I'm beautiful and "I love yous" and I want to be healthy so I can run after him in the park and see his kids in the future.
Lmao I love this, standing naked in front of the mirror every day will be the best motivation to get you to start losing weight! Totally and utterly agree! Unfortunately the larger we get, the more we avoid mirrors automatically without thinking, without knowing or realising we are doing it. Avoidance of things we dislike is a natural ability we all have.
Great video! I can identify with the unwanted attention and tried to hide in baggy clothes but also refused to gain weight to hide. The mirror has been my go to motivation to stay lean and strong.
my motivation changed. when i was younger it was all about other people reading me as "this girl is athletic/fit" when seeing my looks. im finally on that doorstep as an adult, but now that im close to my goal, im questioning why its important to be as fit as i look? maybe im getting depressed on keto. i just have no energy even after salt/electrolytes. i cant reach my fitness goals when i can only sleep on the desk all day. i cant function enough to put my shoes on, its a real chore. yesterday with family i had probably 3000 calories in high GI carbs and i lit up like a rocket and lived life to the fullest. how do i get this level of energy on keto? i dont want the slog, of getting out of bed just to eat and sleep on the desk, to rob me of my fitness goals
My “Ah-ha” moment was when I could no longer see my feet when I looked down. I had no health issues but I hated the way I looked. I did the diet first; nothing radical just cutting out the seconds at dinner time. I ate the same stuff, just less of it. I cut down on my alcohol intake (mostly beer which I love). Once again not eliminating it, just less of it. I lost 15 kilograms. The biggest change I noticed is that I now have a lot more energy, and secondly my ankles don’t hurt anymore. I’m still carrying a little more weight than I should, however my life is much better.
Before I had my daughter i had lost weight and kept it off for 5 years. After I had my daughter, it was extremely hard for me to lose weight. I tried losing weight and the scale just wouldn't budge, even though I felt great, and I noticed I looked smaller. And then covid came and I stopped working out. I started working out the beginning of this year, but instead of using the scale, I started measuring myself every Sunday. I have been consistently losing inches. I have gone down a total of 23" all over my body, and 3.5" on my waist, since I started measuring myself. Measuring myself instead of weighing myself has given me the momentum I needed to achieve my goals.
I went back on my not too old pics and when i saw myself in the pics i realized how heavy i was, at that point i quit drinking and started eating better. I lost 40 lbs in 3 months
Agree totally first get eat properly and then exercises, I see many people doing exercises without addressing nutrition and get frustrate very quickly. Thanks for going straight to the point 👍
When I would like to stay motivated to not eat junk food, I think about my boyfriend interacting with pretty skinny girls and the jealousy gets rid of the craving. Competition motivates!
🥀 I began the eating habit changes a couple of weeks before exercises. I hadn't heard of intermittent fasting until after I was doing it, and it just so happens I was eating one meal a day. (Usually between 12-4 p.m.) I added a banana for the potassium, etc. And I would allow myself one snack in the early evening. I have been allowing one large cup of sweetened coffee with some cream, only after my morning exercise routine, & drink sweetened sugar free tea off & on. (Some things just weren't worth giving up. lol) I also am trying to remember to drink as much water as I can. I've been lax in this, unfortunately. I began the exercises on 2/18/2021 & my latest weigh in (at my Dr's office actually) I had lost 21 lbs. So I'd say it's been pretty successful so far ! I'm hoping my skin will bounce back & "shrink" as the weight slowly comes off. But seeing as I'm in my late 50's, I realize it may be not as simple as that. I do body brushing with a natural bristle brush almost daily, along with applying 100% aloe vera gel after brushing. Any other suggestions as to what else I can do to "coax" my skin into shrinking would be appreciated. 😌🙋🏻♀️ Thank you, Dr Berg ! I find your videos enlightening, as well as encouraging !! 🌹
Diet is no brainer but exercise makes you stronger. If you run , you can run faster in real life. Once my puppy just somehow got out of my closed arm and start running. I had to catch him so run so fast that finally caught him. He was surprised because no one could catch him so far.
Wow doctor berg😳 Have lost my motivation to lose weight and stay on keto. I still eat one meal a day so you really gave me encouragement to eventually move back on with keto. Thank you so much. TH-cam is the best platform for you. I find mainstream tv so unauthentic and it would be a shame for you to be tarnished with the same brush.❤️
Some of the above plus the fact that unhealthy lifestyles mean big business for certain health care ''professionals'' and for the food industry. Not playing into their hands. Hospitals are essentially factories too.
This is so important to your well being whatever you wish for as a life. You are being controlled and beaten down by the quarantine. This is not about a shot to fix what is wrong. It is about you and your ability to be you. Cheers.
I started Intermittent fasting almost 2 years ago 20 hours a day and lost 50lbs and Im in the best shape of my life I dont do keto I focus on all raw cruciferous vegetables and fruits and I really avoid sweets and bread so now everything that has sugar is overly sweet and intolerable to me but intermittent fasting is a great start and It all began for me with some of Dr. Bergs advice so thank you
Thank you Dr Berg. I’ve learned so much from you, and when I follow your advice, the weight comes off easily. What gets me into trouble is having a little sugary “treat” now and then. What I plan on being one little indulgence turns into more, which turns into days of being completely off keto, which brings the weight back on. It’s a terrible yo-yo cycle. I’m trying to stay on track. It’s so much easier to have no sugar than to try to have a little.
I just sub to keto channels like this and read the comment sections as well to keep me motivated. Dr. Berg, Dr. Ekberg, Thomas Deleuar, Dr. Jason Fung, Keto Connect, etc.
You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending.
Best medicine is wisdom

I need this reminder every single day. Thank you🥺 ♥️
Nice one.

I wasn’t fat enough for that, but from my understanding OMAD IF sand keto will stop most of that.
I am in the same boat. I have never been heavy, but feel disgusting right now. I started again, 2 days ago. I already feel lighter.
Heart disease can also be caused by lack on minerals and vitamins like zinc and magnesium. Check out his video on beef liver
Congrats. That's amazing. I'm down 96lbs myself. Down to 197. Got about 25 more to go, but thanks to Keto and IF, I actually believe I'm going to get there.
you cut yourself to 50percent~ that deserves a carnegie medal by itself!
@@Barneyrubble241 you will ! I never thought i would get to 200 but now im 3 pounds away. Thanks to keto n I.F
Berg❤
In the last year of home schooling I started snacking all the time. Eating late at night.
You are saving me right now.
I saw my side pic from my best friend's engagement ceremony ...that motivated me to work on myself.. well, it went like this ...88Kg to 65Kg with mindful eating, IF and HomeWorkouts...and also 10,000 steps.
amazing how seeing a side pic will do it. Same for me. From the front, I didn't look that big. From the side..........gigantic!! lol.
Well done, this doc is brilliant...I'm thin but like my beer and now have fat round my middle
A side photo of myself in a dress did it for me too. Hope you diet is a success!
Wow actually doing the exact same thing
Fantastic
I accidentally stumbled across your channel.. I’m binge watching ALL your videos. I have never had anyone explain all these things to me in a way my ADD brain could understand!!! You make it very simple for me to grasp and I have a feeling my life will be changing forever in a very good way🥺 You are a Godsend♥️
Well said. I can relate to this comment. ❤️
Yep
Ditto!
@Experimental Fuser agree‼️
This is what I needed. For the last year with this pandemic, I lost my motivation; eating poorly and lack of exercise. I’ve gained a few pounds 😭. Thank you, Dr. Berg!
You’re not alone there friend!
You can do it!👊
We have all gained some pound's at some point in life! No worries, just restart tomorrow! 🙏🏻👍
That's stup
Me too, I ate a lot of processed foods in the pandemic bc I only went to supermarket once a month and frozen processed food last longer, also a lot of food delivery. I barely moved and gained 40 lbs...
Glad it helped!
Today, the lesson is kind of a special lesson because there are no nutrients, medications or foods to talk about them only motivation speach.
Thank you Dr.
Started at 227, now I’m 210. (1 month so far) I’m not gonna give up until I hit my goal! 🙏🏻
Yay!!!👏👏👏❤ keep going King/queen🙂🥳🥳🥳
Proud of you 🫶🏻
I’ve always been 165 pounds throughout my earlier adult life.
Please would you please send me a name of the keto.
I think a lot more people would be motivated to lose weight if they realized how they are being manipulated to profit the food and drug industries.
A few weeks later we watch the film and I was thinking
"Who is that enormous GUY sitting amongst us, Ive never seen him before. Is he new in class?"
A few seconds later I realised it was me.
Hey KendraR, there are solutions to get you into great shape
Lmao
I can attest to catching my reflection in a new mirror and being so shocked at what I saw.
Same with me. It’s a shock!
Me too. I saw myself walking through my kitchen on my security camera...motivation enough.
I look at my chest and back, realize the gains I have made, then I push myself to make more. Then I watch Wes Watson
Berg!
I my self don't know when I got this big . I am 75 kg . I am ashamed I let my self go away and sorry for my self . But change is never too late.
@@peterminton8105 thanks but I'm doing super on Dr Bergs Keto and IF. 👍😀
@@peterminton8105 is there someplace I can learn about it? I want to try this at home, so if you could recommend a video, or website that specifically teaches how to do this at home, it will be a huge help. Thanks!
I agree with you! I saw myself on our Ring doorbell camera panel when it was frozen and Omg!🤦🏾♀️😞
Dr Berg your motivation list is exactly what mine was ...
Started intermittent fasting, no sugar, grains, etc.
IT WORKS ! THANK YOU
The second story made my eyes watery because alot of things have happened for me to be how I am now but one of the biggest things is that I hated when men would look at me and try to talk to me. I hated attention from men and the hate I will get from jealous girls. I am getting older now and realizing alot of things so I was thinking about losing weight and start to take care of myself for me, my own health, my children and grandchildren one day.
You would have been much better off cussin' them out than health problems. Obesity causes so many cascading problems it is shocking.
Nearly three years after discovering you and changing my body, I have paid it forward with over 200 people. Thank you.
So glad we discovered you. 🙏🏽
what motivated me was me eating some sweet stuff while being 289lb, i was eating and just started crying and realized how bad the sweet stuff started to taste and how miserable i felt being overweight. i'm doing much better now at 190lb, it took only 8 month lose all that weight, i look much better, most of my health issues went away, i stopped feeling hungry all the time. all that without doing more than 15mins of exercise a day. all i did was have a really tight eating schedule and in literally 2 weeks i stopped feeling hungry, i feel like i could spend 2 days without eating anything, that's how better i feel. you don't need much food i realized especially if you eat the right food; you need a really balanced meal, a yoghourt a day, tea and some fruits at the evening. gl with your weight loss!
Yeah he's been stalking you. Be careful
My brother used to visit India. When he returned after 6 months he was very skinny.
I have always said this is the place for a crash weight loss.
funny....my husband used to work around a lot of Indians.....I'm pretty sure 10 of my pounds is from Indian desserts. (and none of them were thin too!)
for me it was stairs. i was only 30 lbs overweight but still. then i saw your video about potassium and realized maybe weight isnt my problem. whole foods and omad for me doc.
The "unaware" part, spot on! I was so shocked when I tried my other clothes and they didn't fit. Like WTH!
In working on eating 3 times a day first than twice a day. I must stop the insulin resistance with my body.
I started eating every 2 hours just snacking and never giving my body a 12 hour break from food.
I'm learning so much.
Thank you so much
16 hours is amazing no food.
When your A1c gets down to 5.2 you'll be really motivated as you won't have diabetes anymore!
For me it was simple, my Dad is type 2 diabetic and shoots up insulin everyday and told myself to not go through that in the future.
he can change his condition and should do it the dr berg way(reduce insuline by eating low carb and emptying his freezer(fat cells) as diabetis can be reversed as hearth disease and strokes are multiple times higher in diabetics(this is not fun to have) support yr father and tell him you love him and you want him to live al long time so you can enjoy his company longer(this will motivate anyone) we all want to be loved and especially when our children tell us they want us to live as they enjoy our company.
Same exact thing with my my dad.
Have him check out Dr.Fung.
Looking at myself in vacation pictures is what convinced me to lose weight
Tell me more about it...
Ha!
Sometimes, Google Pics reminds me of a picture taken of myself 3, 5, 7, etc years ago...way back when I was more active and less stressed.
I wasn't too big in the pic, I'm too big now! 😲🤫
Same motivator (pic) but experienced differently because of time (date).

Wonderful! Glad to hear you’re doing so well!

Wow All 6 apply to me. I was able to go 23 hrs without eating today. Thank you for all the great help
Knee pain motivates weight loss, too.
This is sooooooo true!
Also back pain
After my first child in 2018 I did dr. Bergs healthy keto I lost 67lbs and felt amazing!!! After my second baby a year later with preeclampsia I tried to restart my journey again, well I got so sick, went septic with a kidney stone and after having gout pain, and have zero progesterone like a hott mess. I'm gaining weight so I'm frustrated but I'm doing lemon water, potassium citrate, and attempting to do low oxalate keto.

Ahem, was _quarantine_ really responsible for your weight gain?
@@man_vs_life
Well, we got locked out of our routines... for example, walking to the bus stop to go to work (no job during lock down), not able to go to gym (they were closed), not allowed to use public park facilities, etc.

I LOVE my new reflection!!

Mirrors don't work for me. But cameras do.
Wow! I'm buying all the mirrors in the store now. Mirrors in my bathroom, bedroom, kitchen everywhere to motivate me more
You're an excellent presenter, the info, demeanor, pace make everything approachable and relatable.
Completely motivated. From 86kgs to 78kgs and still lossing weight. Thanks for the knowledge Dr. Berg.
That's great! Well done!
My mom always said the best diet was eating everything in front of a mirror 😂
I had all my mirrors covered up for some time now because I could not endure looking at my image after each shower. Now that I've changed my diet significantly, I feel much better with myself, and I am still going strong until I reach that final goal...
Taking measurements helps a lot for motivation, too. I can’t always see the changes visibly or on the scale but my inches go down and my clothes start to fit better. Then the scale changes start to come again.
I have lost 33lbs back to 183 lbs 🚧 Thank You for the road map it’s hard but doable 🏝
Having a photo taken of me at my biggest is what motivated me to go on hardcore keto
@@kirika20 It's sweet that he said you're beautiful. Good luck on your weight-loss journey!

I reversed my diabetes and I’m eat for 3 days and fast! Also do intermittent fasting thank you for your inspiration
I tell patients it is 80% diet, and 15% exercise. The remaining 5% is adequate sleep and stress reduction.
my motivation changed. when i was younger it was all about other people reading me as "this girl is athletic/fit" when seeing my looks. im finally on that doorstep as an adult, but now that im close to my goal, im questioning why its important to be as fit as i look? maybe im getting depressed on keto.
i just have no energy even after salt/electrolytes. i cant reach my fitness goals when i can only sleep on the desk all day. i cant function enough to put my shoes on, its a real chore. yesterday with family i had probably 3000 calories in high GI carbs and i lit up like a rocket and lived life to the fullest. how do i get this level of energy on keto? i dont want the slog, of getting out of bed just to eat and sleep on the desk, to rob me of my fitness goals
Thank you, Dr Berg !
Just listened to this and yeah the person who never looked at themself. Yeah that's me. Wow
Some of the above plus the fact that unhealthy lifestyles mean big business for certain health care ''professionals'' and for the food industry. Not playing into their hands. Hospitals are essentially factories too.
Another great video. Thanks doc!❤️
Welcome! Glad you liked it!
This is so important to your well being whatever you wish for as a life. You are being controlled and beaten down by the quarantine. This is not about a shot to fix what is wrong. It is about you and your ability to be you. Cheers.
I love your channel so much
I started Intermittent fasting almost 2 years ago 20 hours a day and lost 50lbs and Im in the best shape of my life I dont do keto I focus on all raw cruciferous vegetables and fruits and I really avoid sweets and bread so now everything that has sugar is overly sweet and intolerable to me but intermittent fasting is a great start and It all began for me with some of Dr. Bergs advice so thank you
From Bangladesh with Love & Respect ❤️❤️❤️
my cat loves you too!
Iam so desperately trying to loose weight, 10 kg exactly. That's all I need. Starring today. Fingers crossed 😔😔😉😉
