Hey Adam, been watching the channel since I picked up golf about a year ago, just wanna say that it’s been a great time watching you progress with your reads, your striking, and your attitude out there. Keep up the good work, it’s inspiring to watch.
Hey! I just started following your channel a couple of weeks ago. My main takeaway: If you can putt from within 8-10 feet consistently, you will save yourself multiple shots every round. You have so many saves for par (or even bogey) from within 10 feet that you make. It honestly is inspiring me to focus more on them myself. I am a much longer hitter in comparison to you, Adam, and I can easily be distracted by this and neglect my short game. If I want to improve, I need to focus on shots within 100 yards and putts within 10 feet (and also improve my mental approach to the game, of course). Keep up the great work!
Alright, you got me, I'm subscribing - making this one of four channels I'm subscribed to, if that gives any indication to what I think of this content. The simplicity is what makes this channel so good - straightforward commentary about what the intent is and why it either works out or doesn't, simple shot tracer and overlay, solid camera work and thoughtful choice of frame... and that's all that's needed. Heck, I'd even take out the slot machine sound when putts drop; they sometimes obscure your actual, real time reaction. Love these videos, looking forward to the next.
Dude… you’re missing out on a lot of good content that you’d like by not subscribing to channels. That’s how TH-cam works the best.. just saying. And guys like Adam( and myself ) depend on it !
Glad you enjoyed it, and those are directorial choices of Steve from SwingTweaks! The best way to show your appreciation is to download the app. Free to download :p
Awesome vid as always! I love your emphasis on the mental game. I also love when you say "Don't hit it in the bunker" then proceed to hit it directly into the bunker. 🤣 It's such a good example of Bob Rotella's philosophy of our body's innate ability to hit the ball exactly to the target that we're visualizing.
11:20 Wow, what a view! I know you posted about the backlog a little while back... love the choices that you've made of which ones to work your way through. It's fun to be able to experience these rounds with you. I look forward to it each week. :-)
My favorite course in Cabo. 3 nine hole courses. All great! You did not review the best taco stands on a golf course! Food and booze on the course included for $20 and top notch!
Way to keep trucking through after the first holes. Sometimes the first holes can be a mood killer. A previous tip about thinking it in sets of 6 or even three can help. Also helps the track is so beautiful and if you have fun playing partners.
Thanks! One exercise I like to do is calculate my best 9 holes & worst 9 holes of a round. It's very common for my best 9 to be 1 or 2 under and my worst 9 to be 7 or 8 over. Having that knowledge in the back of my mind seems to help when I play a bad stretch of holes.
oh that sunset🤩 you seem to make a habit of strong back 9s on difficult courses👏 I like the overlaid target line edit too. Still hoping to see Bandon soon🤞
I’ve played this course one time and it is truly one of my favorites of all time! Cheers to an awesome round! And I hope they had tacos and tequila near the turn! Lol😂🎉
That fat shot from the waste area brought to mind a really great tip I was given years ago when playing from fairway bunkers (this waste are is similar) and that is to lift up my chin at address……and it works amazingly in preventing chunking these shots.
Adam, thanks for another fun round. It is inspiring to see your approach to the game with the limited skill set that we amateurs must manage. Can I ask a favor though? Please when editing your videos, do not leave the impression that you walk away from the divots you create. Knowing your love for the game, I also know you properly repair any damage resulting from your shots. Make sure everyone knows that too. Thanks.
Thanks, Bill! Always appreciate the feedback. It's kind of a tightrope to walk. If I showed divot replacing, bunker raking, pitch mark repairs, etc., each video would stretch out another several minutes. And I get a lot of feedback saying that the tight edit is something people enjoy. Maybe I'll make a comment about it in an upcoming vid...
Adam 🎉 great play! Im curious, how do you keep track of distances left for every shot? Do you use an app or smart watch to track your shots automatically? Knowing the distances left and which iron you are using is so helpful. PGA should have this too
Thanks! I wish my methods were that seamless. I use a rangefinder for each distance and write down the yardage/club for each shot on my scorecard so I can reference them while editing.
GLD = it gave me a realistic chance of hitting the green in regulation. You're right, "good drive" would probably be more easily understood...I just hesitate to call some of my GLDs "good"
You play exceptionally well considering your r takeaway is everything I’ve been told not to do. Not that I know much about other people’s golf swing but I’ve always been told to take the club away straight back. Have you ever tried that Adam ? Danny Maude has a good video explaining it. It really helped me hit the ball straighter and cleaner. Just curious 👀
Thanks Cam! Indeed, my “whip it inside” takeaway isn’t one that any coach would recommend. It’s a minor miracle that I get the club into a decent place by impact. My feeble and admittedly half-hearted attempts at reworking my takeaway and backswing have never stuck. So I’m mostly just swinging with what I’ve got 😛
@@NotAScratchGolfer hell yea brother. I have to swing around a belly and a set of Double D’s so I totally get the stick with it. And I’m proud of my unconventional 6 hcp. Please keep up the great work. And I really appreciate the reply. Means a lot. It’s the closest I’ll ever get to being a part of TH-cam golf lol.
Good eye! The 2-ball was a brief failed experiment. I tried my friend Steve's and liked it - it made me more comfortable aligning with the ball in the center of the club face (I usually have the ball aligned somewhat toe-y at address). I found one on sale and intended to practice with it before putting it in the bag, but I inadvertently left it behind in Canada. The big problem I had with it was the length (34") - my gamer is 33" and I choke down a bit even on that putter. I really had trouble adjusting to the 2ball and ultimately sold it and went back to my old faithful.
Any reason you keep speaking to yourself in such a negative way while you play? Ever considered accepting your level and speak with confident positivity to yourself? Instead of saying “guess I gonna have to…” tell yourself “I will…” whether you actually do or not is irrelevant because result come after. You are actually able to play way better than you believe you can! You seem to spend more time convincing yourself you are worse than you are and then swing and play like you tell yourself! Awesome to see your enjoying your golf, but hope the people watching don’t take the negative self talk with them! Keep positive and believe in yourself! ✊🏿
Hi Adam, what I don't get with your game is that you have nice long drives (240-270yd), but hit your 9 iron about 130. If I check that against the "distance calculator" website, it doesn't compute. What am I missing, how do you do that? I'd die for 250yd straight drives.
Hey Jeroen! Yeah, my driver swing speed approaches 100mph but my 7-iron swing speed hovers only in the mid-70s. Obviously there are some major flaws with my iron swing (my driver swing too, lol) that prevent me from generating speed.
I like you and I like your content but dude I can’t watch your swing it’s like every bad habit I ever had to groom out of my own swing. 😂 I’m sorry…so I don’t watch you I just look at the courses and turn my head away when you swing. I can watch you putt tho that is fine. Gave you a thumbs up still 👍

Adam with a different putter… never thought I’d see the day!
Lol I commented about this elsewhere. Suffice it to say I'm back to my old gamer.
12:10 yep, this is well hit 5wood, i don't think about hitting driver of the deck, 5wood is my go to club everytime i am 230+ out..
Don't think I could concentrate on my golf with a view as picturesque as that one on the 15th! Really solid round Adam, well played 👏
Thanks, Dan. Glad the views translated to the screen. Stunning place in person.

what a great back 9. honestly, i'm happy with low 40's!

How can you hit it 280 on one hole and 240 the next.😮 Your backswing is too flat.
