I actually really respect this version of quicksilver. He is probably the most realistic depiction of someone with super speed
I'd argue Movie Sonic does it better given how casually he does all of his speed feats, to the point where it feels normal to him. His only real problem is that he's never fought anyone before Robotnik.

I really like how protective he was of Wanda, his powers are quite terrifying but he’s so gentle when using it close to her. How he always seem to get her out of danger immediately is also appreciated…wish they did more with him.

Everyone is hating on MCU quicksilver because he’s “too slow” or not as good as the X-Men Quicksilver. Well you have to remember, this MCU one has just gotten his powers, he wasn’t born with them like X-men Peter. You see how Wanda’s powers have slowly progressed and she’s way more powerful in Wandavision.... I bet if MCU quicksilver hadn’t died, he would have become stronger, faster, and learn all what he could do.

The X-men one was great, but this is a better reflection of the comics. He had so much potential, why did they kill him off?

It was movie rights. Quicksilver was only allowed to appear in one movie so they could focus on him in xmen
@@Binks129 Wrong. Fox still had the rights to these characters, they were shared between them and Disney. There were disagreements between these shared characters and the MCU was only allowed to use either Wanda or Pietro for its universe, and judging by the fact that Fox's Quicksilver was already established in a different universe, Marvel chose Wanda instead, so they had to kill off Quicksilver in the first movie. It didn't really do much for his character.
Also, people like Evan Peters' quicksilver more because he has been explored more as a character in their franchise, on top of the comedy and "Slow-Mo aspect" lmao. He has an actual backstory compared to the MCU quicksilver who literally just participated in one fight and then frickin died. Most of the fanbase (before wandaVision) completely forgot about the character, simply because he was so bland and underused.

In that time they only were able to use one of the twins and Disney picked Wanda meanwhile Fox stayed with Quicksilver, but now Disney have all the rights.

gohanmoreno7 Evan Peter’s QuickSilver has the same problem. Instead of being portrayed as someone who’s annoyed with the slowness around him, he’s portrayed with what seems like extreme ADD and ADHD, and is just constantly trying not to be bored.
I like Evan Peters as quicksilver more, but I prefer this depiction of his powers. It's not overpowered and I love the trail he leaves behind. Plus, he doesn't have infinite stamina XD

People said this quicksilver sucked but Wanda in this movie isnt the wanda we have now. I would have liked to see him control his powers better and develop his character. But then again, wanda wouldnt have been wanda we have now if loss wasnt a big part of her development

i think the first wanda was very "cold" and she needed some character development,so in my opinion marvel found a good way to develope her character.
I think the problem was that quicksilver was already pretty developed when we met him. He wasn’t scared of himself like Wanda. It made his death sort of predictable. I agree though, I still like this QS

I’ve seen people constantly saying Peter’s Quicksilver is Better than Aaron’s but in all honesty, The much version is just as good as the x-men one. Quicksilver (MCU) actions, personality and his accent make feel like he’s the Quicksilver from the comics. So what if he not as fast as the X-men version he’s still a great character who deserves respect
MCU Quicksilver worked better as a bad guy, he had clear motives and an interesting back story. X-MEN Quicksilver's backstory and motives were a mess, but the X-Men Quicksilver was more memorable, actually had screen time and a reason to do what he was doing. He worked better as a good guy.
MCU Quicksilver is perfect for teams and for cinematic fights, his speed is accurate for a "speedster" rather than Fox's version, who is fun but us way too fast that even Fox didn't know how to use him. He's freakin invincible with a speed like his, but yeah, he just doesn't help that much because it would end their movies right away.

He was forgettable. X-MEN'S Quicksilver's backstory motives were a mess but he had screen focus time and a purpose of being there. The stuff he did was important and memorable. But he had no real character development or story arc.
@@jamielambert5267 I get what you're saying, but MCU Quicksilver wasn't intentionally built because he was gonna get killed off anyway and the rights belonged to Fox. He was actually better as a good guy and more confusing as a "bad" guy who just punched and pushes people around despite being super fast. At least being a good guy explains that he has ethics even in fighting. You are right with Fox's version, he was all for comic relief with his "saving scenes", and that's all it.
@@GHanBax I get what your saying to but I think that MCU Quicksilver was better as a bad guy because his motives were clearer and more interesting, he wanted to kill Tony and get revenge for his parents, Which lead to him teaming up with Ultron. And that's why he volunteered for the experiments which explains his backstory. I just wish that his death was treated as a bigger deal, in Civil War or Infinity War he wasn't even mentioned and Wanda didn't seem sad at all about his death after she killed Ultron.
This is a less overpowered and more realistic take on superspeed but for some reason, FOX Quicksilver's speed is so much more satisfying to watch, even without the slomo.

If he was alive and grow up on his powers like Wanda,the MCU Maximoff twins would be such a unstoppable duo,just imagine,Wanda with ability to control people and change reality as the Scarlet Witch(just as showed in WandaVision) and Pietro with the ability to reach light-speed and capable of travelling through time and space as the Quicksilver...

@@psychpinoy123 I don’t see how he would have any impact on Thanos’s victory. He’d always side with Wanda, that’s a given. That just means he’s one more combatant against Proxima Midnight and Corvus Glaive, one more fighter at Wakanda as no way in hell they’d let a guy like him stick back, and one more person to get tossed aside by Thanos when he comes for Vision.
Assuming that he’s not dusted? His participation in the time heist would be minimal because his powers aren’t very discreet and he sticks out like a sore thumb. He wouldn’t have much of an impact in the final battle compared to the others, though he might get one hot potato sequence dedicated to him.
The only chance he has at being relevant is Wanda Vision, as his being alive might prevent it altogether or prematurely ends it. Or they go the comic book way and Quicksilver’s inability to understand and empathize with Wanda cause them to split and him just not knowing her ordeals at all.

Damn seeing all this scenes together shows you how many times they foreshadowed his dead. So many close encounters with bullets and guns and when Cap says "if you get killed, walk it off" right when they were showing Quicksilver all tired. They basically screamed at our faces he was going to die😂

The Quicksilver from WandaVision is the one from the X-Men Revised timeline not the marvel cinematic universe
@3 I know Evan Peters is the actor from x men, but the character is not the same x men quicksilver. I think the obvious point in this is that Wanda recognizes him as Pietro. He could come from another universe (disregarding how that even happened), but I believe he is clearly a recast for Aaron Taylor-Johnson's Pietro Maximoff and is not x men's "Peter" Maximoff.
In any case, I agree Evan Peters is the "cooler one". Hope he sticks around.

Wonder Woman is a great example some people believe she should and can deflect bullets as is, or solely relies on her bracelets for defence against bullets. (She a demi God imo she would need it for heavy duty bullets at most but a pistol would bounce off)
And for quicksilver as far as I'm concerned he wouldn't be able to take a bullet. But at the same time how does moving faster than the speed of sound not destroy your skin and hands when hitting something? But a bullet that doesnt move as fast as you can penetrate the skin? Its all semantics really lmao. Super speed characters are always the bs riddled characters.

When you realize that Wanda can do more than just telepathy. She can make her own reality and revive the dead!
She CAN revive the dead but when the children asked Wanda to bring back their dog she said it was wrong to revive the dead so technically she didn’t revive Pietro as the one girl said: “she RE-CASTED pietro”
She didnt revive Pietro nor did she "recast him." Wanda was caught off guard by him appearing at her home and is suspicious of him to a degree and he's conscious of her ability to control everything in Westview. She's powerful but there's someone behind the scenes controlling everything
i wouldnt say she can revive the dead, she can just reanimate them. if she stopped using her powers, vision would collapse on the floor, pale, and with a hole in his head.

I like both but Evan’s is just too strong. Him having a hard time fighting any villain just doesn’t make sense. Thats why they always find a way to not using him in the final battles in the X men movies.
ATJ is sooo good. That man has real range as an actor and is very easy on the eyes. I suspect his star power will just keep growing. Someone get this guy the leading role he deserves.

This version of Quicksilver may not be as op as the X Men one, but it really does show and set a good perspective of super speed compared to regular human speed.

I like this depiction of super speed alot. The trails are beautiful like everyone has said, plus you can see him clearly accelerating and decelerating, and when he superspeeds in buildings you can tell he's not full on running, more like superspeed walking.

The first scene was a scary introduction. Imagine having poor control over your super speed and just slamming into the walls uncontrollably. It made me think this movie was gonna have him struggle a lot more with his powers. However they do a bit with it cuz I feel like pretty often he impacts with stuff or is running so fast he can't keep up with everything around him and he gets hurt.
Slowest version of Quicksilver yet he has best personality and depth.

I love how he barely makes a sound with his speed cuz he is so fast. Also I love the effects when he runs.
One of my favourite speedster depictions! Not too much bullet-time, not making him too op like XMen did. The death is sad but I really, really think they should have saved him or brought him back with the Infinity Stones!

@@rileygilbreath462 - It’d be impossible to catch them. Him having super speed doesn't mean that he can slow down objects. If he'd tried to grab a bullet, he would need super strength in order to hold it in place, and he doesn't have that. Maybe with training he could use his speed to carefully deflect a bullet, but that depends on the durability of his skin. It would be like trying to slap a bullet, and seeing as he got hurt when that one officer accidently grazed him with one, i’d say it's impossible.
The best he could have done was dodge them, and he was already really tired by the time he saved Hawkeye.
@@deskbop he could theoretically move or stop bullets but hed have to match or over shadow their momentum to do so (which is why the xmen one or the flash can) the sad fact is he just wasn't fast enough, shame too I preferred this version

They did a mistake killing him. Imagine a movie of this guy, I'd definitely watch it.
They couldn't keep him alive, they didn't have the rights to the character. Besides, it's Marvel, if they want to bring him back now, they can, just say it's a Multiverse thing and we're set.
It's really hard to make a live action movie of a fast super hero, marvel doesn't have any villains to counter him. All his fights would be won easily.

I don't understand the people who say they prefer Fox's version. That guy is not really Quicksilver, and more like the Flash. He's so overpowered that it's impossible for the audience to feel anything is going to pose a threat to him, or that he can't save any situation. He basically stops time and does and undoes as he pleases. I'd rather have a Pietro like this one from Age of Ultron. At least powers-wise.

Imo the mcu makes quicksilver's use of his powers look so clean. Comparing it to the fox universe, it's pretty noticeable. Can't wait to see what they do with episode 6 and more
For example, in the fox universe, they took a still camera shot of a close up of quicksilver, which is ok I guess, but more camera work is better. 2:08 theres a fair enough of visual effects to make it seem believable (maybe with more hair pushed backwards would look good)
@@iamthestormthatisapproaching69 Idk, I think these are pretty clunky, that scene you mentioned makes it look like a regular ass dude running at the camera with a bunch of motion blur and a ton of wispy blue generic effects, I like the concept of Fox's Quicksilver a lot better, where his action scenes are just him zipping around a frozen setpiece fooling around and getting the job done, plus he has a better soundtrack lmao
The problem with Evan Peter's Quicksilver was the movies he was surrounded by, they weren't particularly good movies, even for comic book movies. If his Quicksilver was in the MCU from the get-go, he would have excelled.
I can see why people like this QS, but to me he just seems like an edgier, blue and grey CW Flash with a Slovak accent.

It basically makes him so OP to the point to where he can stop time. And when he does have super speed, he also uses it in slow motion? Idk if they were thinking clearly with that.
I will admit that I like the camera work better in DOFP than here, but if the whole entire set piece is almost not even moving, I feel less invested with what's going on.
