- I'm back! :) I hope you enjoy today's video. We have a new MLP G1 model: A Dance 'n Prance Twirler (or the pony with the twirling tail mechanism). Luckily, no repairs were needed so I instead cleaned the pony, 3D-printed some accessories, and made a... cape? I'll let you be the judge of this project's success :P But it was a lot of fun, and I truly enjoyed working on it. Also... we have a new family member (04:56) ;)

The pony turned out very cute and the accessories are spot on.
Also wanted to say that it is weird how cats very often just appear to those who need them for one reason or another. I have many of such stories. It's almost as if they 'know' who to visit and stay with. 😸

@@NoirRaven thats exactly how it is. You're never supposed to pick out a cat - you're supposed to wait for a cat to pick you. That's how you get a sweet, happy and cuddly loving cat.
Have to agree with you about the cats choosing their own people. After my mom passed, I was talking with my friend about wanting to get a cat one day. I was staying with her because I was at a low point in my life at that time, and a few weeks after that conversation, we moved to a new place and the very first day we moved in, a baby kitten, still covered in her peach-fuzzy fur, walked right in the door and came straight to me. We checked with the neighbors to see if they'd lost a kitten, but none of them had, so she was likely abandoned. I've been her human for six years now.

I’ve been so exited to tell you! I found my first 80’s pony today at a flea market! It’s Sparkler!! She is so pretty but I have been cleaning her up, as she was very dirty! Thankfully very little stains and minimal paint chipping. She is drying (in two pieces). I can’t wait to have fun styling her now detangled hair!! Lovely video too as always, and thank you for inspiring me!! :3

I had this one as a kid! She was passed down from my mother, along with Lil' Pocket and so soft Bouncy. I think you did an amazing job restoring her! (and the cape looks better than the boa imo)
I hope you realize you are an angel! Your videos make this world just that much prettier. I have been binge watching your pony videos as I have lately become obsessed with mlp. I blame my mother who sparked my obsession by casually mentioning one day that I should find my ponies to give to my daughter. I have managed to find all but 5 and they are all in need of wash/repair. Your videos are a goldmine, I have learned a lot watching your work!
I have a TON of G1 ponies, including Twirler, that I collected as a girl. From babies, to flutter, to dance, to perfume, to sea ponies... I had at least one of them all. I never could keep the wings on the flutter ponies from breaking, so my Dad would make cardboard replacements for me. I'm pretty sure I also still have the ice cream shop, nursery, perfume palace and the dance studio. There are a lot of accessories too that may have survived. They are in plastic garbage bags in my shed and have been for decades.
I've never been able to bring myself to throw them away, but they are gross from mildew and cat pee (there was a storage mishap in mymothers basement while I was in college). You inspire me to want to try and clean them up... it's something that I didn't think was possible!
When I was a girl, I used to say that when I grew up I wanted to display them in a nice cabinet. Maybe I still can.

Oh, and a tip about removing the supports from 3d printed stuff- soak it in hot water (tap hot, not boiling hot) for a minute or two and it will make them much easier to remove. Just be careful not to scratch the rest of the resin.

I like the cape! Restoring the original while giving it a little modern tweak is nice. She also looks SO MUCH better by the end.
I had this pony as a kid! It was one that was handed down to me from an older cousin, so I didn’t have all the accessories, only the barrettes. I remember being so frustrated that my hair was too thick for the cute little bird barrette to work in my hair.
I also remember the hair from the tail getting tangled around the base of the tail. I guess that means I twirled it a lot, lol.
Thanks for this walk down memory lane. I’d forgotten all about this pony.
Ok your cat story is both sweet and a little bitter sweet for me-I also had a cat named Boo (albeit he was a boy) who passed away in September of 2020 who was my best friend-he's sit by my desk as I did artwork, cuddle up to me in bed, acted as a little nurse kitty whenever I was sick, he was a sweetheart who looked just like Bruno if Bruno was chubbier. These days whenever I see black cats they always remind me of him, I can't wait till the day I'm able to adopt a new furry friend after college. For Bruno he seems quite happy with you, cats tend to know where they need to be, and it looks like he's found his place with you :)

IMO It's fine to make perfect replicas of stuff so long as you give it some kind of small mark that collectors can use to ID that it's a replica, and with 3D modeling I would imagine it's quite easy to model something like your signature and then scale it down SUPER TINY and attach it to the back of the model surface, or even an indent, much like they do on the hooves of ponies and such~

i lost my cat that I had for about 10 years about 2 months ago. still misses her. good you take care of the old man :) he is lucky to have found you. and I needed this video, a hard day here :) it made me happy I live ponnies. I have one from 89. , its with with a car on the side.

Absolutely!! I didn't grow up with the first generation ponies but I collect them more than anything else. They are so unique, and it is a very satisfying and rewarding project to clean and restore them

Thank you so much for your videos -- my 3-year-old son caught me watching these on my phone one day when he was watching one of his shows on the TV, and now he regularly asks to watch "my pony show" (his being the animated shows). We regularly snuggle up together on the couch, and he excitedly narrates your videos for me -- "now she's going to clean the pony! The pony feels so much better now!" It honestly makes my day whenever I see a new video! We both think Twirler looks beautiful, and can't wait for more new ponies! When he's a little older, we're going to try to make some of our own customs too -- so thank you for spreading the pony love to me and my kiddo! 💜

While I’m sad you guys were unable to adopt a bonded pair of cats from an adoption center or shelter, I am always really happy to hear how well regulated the animal adoption system is in the UK. The adoption system in my country has very little regulation, especially at the government level. It’s really up to volunteers to try and fight for the animals to be treated well, which can be incredibly frustrating when it doesn’t go well. :/ Thank you for reminding me that there are places that have better systems in place and that can provide a template for better animal adoption systems in my country. Hope that made sense! :)
