If someone from another heritage desires to promote/go for the challenge of your culture, let them go for it. We have no record of where particular music or instruments originated. For those of us who love the challenge and style of ancient music, just let us continue to research and promote this music style. Life is not black or white or in between. WE ARE ALL HUMAN BEINGS. All Humans deserve respect. However, Culture is always evolving, Every culture/tribe assimilates qualities from neighboring cultures over time. I am grateful that these extremely talented individuals are carrying on this beautiful instrument for future musicians
@@ceili3734 Sorry, I did not mean to offend :). Their skill is emprisive and I surely enjoyed their performance :) Just meant it as a joke. The shamisen is a folklore instrument (with high cultural value for a different folk). And I just find it a bit funny. But in my opinion anyone can play the insturment of course, nomatter your heritage :)
_ Hahaha ... had it been audio only, you wouldn't have known they are non Japanese. Don't pretend you have an ear for this kind of music (all kinds of music for that matter).
