That fish is a beauty Stan! You couldn't have known it was full of eggs man. We can't fault you for that. We see your efforts at sustainable fishing and respect to you for that!

You can't tell when you Harpoon them from above how fat they are or if they are carrying eggs. Once Harpooned in the head it's too late. At least use everything you can and don't waste the resource. It was a clean and fair chase and catch.

This not a knock on the site. This guy is fantastic and has a very entertaining channel. However u have to set an example when ur business depends on the future reproduction of the very species u r harvesting. I'm just saying u have to be responsible.

Always cook with the handle of the pan over the stove. That way none of the kids can go by and grab it and knock it off on them. Just love the show and love everything that yall do. I’m a FL Boy born and raised so we have been seeing Bud & Mary’s for years and years. Bro you’re one hell of a sword fisherman. I’m a Geouper Fieherman up here in ahomisassa Crystal River area. We really do love watching. My brother is mentally handicapped and he makes me sit down and pull you up on your tube and we watch sometimes all day long. He don’t make me I love it myself. I watch you, blue Gabe and Deermeat and Tug Trash. Love them all. But watch you a lot. So let us know if you ever do a meet and greet up here where we are. We would love to meet you and if not maybe let us all know when you’re going to be around Bud and Mary’s so we can swing in and say hello. He would really love that. We may drive down on day. It’s about 8 hours for us I thing to get down there but it’s well worth it man. We can stay a couple of days there. We have a friend that owns a marina as well. His name is Joe O’Connell. He’s a good friend of ours. So we have a place to stay if we want to come and spend a few days.

    • @StanzFam

Awesome! Love hearing you guys enjoy the show. I have never fished up that way but hope to one day. Tell your brother I said hey as well.
Good tip about the pan and the kids when cooking.
I was hoping a couple years ago to start doing a few cook outs/get together at the marina with fans of the show but had some other stuff come up and it got put on the back burner so we have done any yet. Hope to one day though!

Loved video. We Cubans make this, but we use Corbina or Snapper roe, not Swordfish. We beat eggs with flour, chopped onions, bell-peppers, parsley, garlic powder, salt, pepper, mix it all in with roe so as to create a batter, then deep fry batter and it tastes really good.
