Awesome job on those ribs and I do agree the Dyna Glo brand is highly underrated. I have the smaller vertical model and Im kicking myself for not buying the wide body offset model but my little vertical model is a great starter smoker which was the purpose of my purchase and that lil smoker as yet to let me down. Thanks for the vid👍
Thanks so much, Kelvin. Yes, the wide body is the way to go for bigger briskets and multiple full racks of ribs! It has also been my go to smoker for bigger hams but you can get a wicked ham in the standard model as well. Cheers and happy smoking to you my man! 🔥
Man I love your vids. You always keep it simple and real. Entertaining as well. I deviated from my normal method using someone elses advice and it was a horrible pork butt. Made me sad. I went complex instead of simple and paid the price for it.
Those ribs are money brother, Dyna rules the roost as usual🤘🏼🔥🦖, love the Aerosmith, goid seeing you on the Tube again, and the ND shirt....were going to be there June 25th for the Billy Joel concert. Keep rockin brother, wish you nothing but the best👊🏼🇺🇸🍻🎸
Awesome, TPC! Just did a Billy Joel cover concert with the symphony last month, love his music! Should be an awesome show. Def hit me up when you're in town! 😎
I like the way you BBQ. I'm 58 and have been grilling and smoking for 40 years and you do it right wrapping in foil is a secret that many don't know about. I got my Dyna 2 weeks ago. I liked the design of it. I have cooked ribs, pork steak chicken and a Boston butt and all turned out great. I got mine from Amazon for $165. Great smoker being offset flare ups are not a problem and I like your videos. You truly step by step show how to do it right when starting my fire, I use an electric wand my smoker is on a wooden deck and I have a garden hose by my side just in case. I cook ribs pretty much the same way and you didn't temp check the ribs because it's not needed looks and feel is enough.
Thank you so much, JSR! 🙌 I have lately not been temping ribs since I'm just looking for certain tells from them. I might towards the end out of curiosity but yeah, it's like ribs have their own built in thermometers! 😅 Cheers to you my friend! 👍
@@EverettBBQBBQ Cheers to you my friend you do an excellent job of how to properly smoke meats your experience shows and that's why I watch and support your videos. I will keep watching old and new videos and help support you grilling smoking and BBQing is my hobby and something I love to do so keep your fires going looking forward to more videos.
I've had my dyna glo for about 8 yrs now, best stick burner I have yet. Mine has a handle on the cooking chamber door. I don't think I would like the latches like you have. Must be on the newer models. Ribs looked awesome.
Yeah, the latches slow me down at times and the bottom latch has gotta go but I do love how tight it seals. Thanks very much for the kind words and for checking out the video. 👍
Great video as always. I love my Dyna Glo . It does a great job on all meats , but ribs are so easy and come out near perfect every time. I also have Oklahoma Joe's Highland. By comparison the Dyna Glo is the more efficient cooker. Keep up the good work!
Thank you, Charle! Ole Dyna is a thing of beauty! She'll take good care of any rack of ribs you put in there. 😉 Cheers my friend and happy smoking to you! 🔥
When you unwrapped the ribs, did you empty the liquid inside the foil first before putting them back using the foil as trays? Ribs looked so good. Thanks.
@@EverettBBQ I never thought of using the rib juice what a great idea damn it Joe now I have to cook ribs again I'll have to tell my brother about it cheers and best wishes your awesome.
Truth be told, my Weber Smokey Mountain 18.5" is my workhorse and go to smoker for most things. It's portable, easy to start up, runs as consistent as all get out and has a very small footprint. If I had to pick one, that would probably be my answer. Even over the WSM 22.5" which I also now own... that 18 runs so efficient. 💯
Absolutely! I really enjoy my Dyna on so many levels and it is my preferred smoker for ribs, brisket and pork butt. Brisklet is tough because I feel I do a pretty mean kettle brisket and my ribs on the WSM are getting a lot better but I wouldn't trade Dyna for the world and if I want three or more solid racks of ribs, that is my go-to! Cheers to you and thank you so much for checking out the video. 👊
Did you have to do any "mods" others have posted about? I just inherited the Dyna 36" Vertical Charcoal from a neighbor that moved out of state. You have any vids on how and how often you clean yours? Thanks for the high-level info and inspiration!
Much appreciated for checking out the video and for the kind words. I usually clean out the Dyna Glo twice in the summer and once every season. I like to scrape the racks w/ steel scouring pads, scrape the walls of the cooker and fire box with a paint scraper, spray it with pam and have a big seasoning fire before I use it again. No mods outside of food grade silicone to seal up any openings where it was attached to the fire box, or screw holes.... pretty put silicone on every potential opening of the cook chamber and fire box including the chimney stack and handles. Hope this helps and best of luck to you out there. Cheers and happy smoking to you! 🔥
I think the cook time definitely gets altered when I do three racks of ribs or more... it eats up some more heat and it surely maintains easier with just one rack or one brisket. Still, should hold steady unless the outdoor temps are unruly. Cheers to you and thanks for the question! 😎
I usually started with honey or butter so that the rest of it kind of sticks together but I'm not sure that the order is that crucial. Thanks for checking out the video and for the comment. Cheers to you and happy smoking out there. 🔥
I gotta shout out Malcolm Reed on this one... I saw him do it one time and copied the method. They won't hold a ton of meat or anything but they will help keep your smoker clean when glazing and you can just throw them away instead of cleaning another pan. It's Rib Thirty! 🍖😎
Thank you, Javier. Yes, I did use a high temp food grade sealant on all the parts that would have potential leaks when I assembled this smoker and I would definitely recommend using that. At least, I believe it has made a difference. Cheers to you, sir! 🍻
For some reason I'm not doing my chicken and my ribs are not coming out right and I'm using too much smoke or I just don't know what I'm doing please help me
Donvito, I find that the usual issues in Dyna start with the ratio of charcoal to wood being used in the firebox. I like to use just a few small chunks of the wood of choice and then a small bed of kingsford briquettes topped off with a solid layer of Royal Oak Lump Charcoal. Please feel free to email me everettBBQ@gmail and I'll get back to you sooner. Cheers and hope the chicken and ribs are coming along. Thanks for commenting and happy smoking! 🔥

Ha! Thank you my man. I did start the fire but Dyna did all the heavy lifting. 😁
Your AP rub is kinda like mine, except I use celery salt instead of kosher salt, I add in a tsp of white pepper and I call it “Magic Salt” lol
