This is one of my favorite live performances of anything. This is his voice at it's absolute best. What a song

Props to whoever suggested this - its a bit of a deep cut performance I've never seen reacted to but it is absolutely epic. The studio is as well but like me I bet you'll be hard pressed to get past this stripped back amazing version. Jonny Greenwood (the lead guitar and number 2 man in the band used to wear that brace just to help his arm from getting jacked up from how hard he laid into his Tele.) I can play this riff finger picking but playing it with pics like they are, man way harder! His voice on this is insane.
Just when you think there is no way you could love Radiohead any more, another song comes along. Thom's voice is amazing. I saw them live. His voice is like a picture of a sunset. The picture is beautiful, but in real life it blows you away. His voice live almost brought me to tears.
Thom Yorke's got spectacular breath support. Those sustained phrases go on for days. Beautiful playing from these two as well. Great performance 🔥and reaction -- more Rory guitar spontaneity, plz 😊

Their performance of Nude (Live From the Basement) is a masterpiece. Pretty much that entire session is perfect.
I think Nude in the Jonathan Ross show was spectacular too

Thanks for this great reaction video! I love Thom's voice.. so many people talk about his voice and how amazing it is. I love what Thom and Jonny are doing in The Smile. Thom is close to my age. Jonny had carpel tunnel from playing guitar and had to wear the brace for a while. You played that brilliantly!! I am learning guitar and would love to learn this song!
Great reaction and rendition mate - this was one of the first riffs I learned on guitar, there’s something cathartic to play and sing along with Thom on this one, the studio version is magic (check the music video out!).
P.S Jonny Greenwood’s aggressive playing style led to him wearing the brace on live shows.

Anything in from the basement sessions is what you want, plus I love these acoustic songs. The electric version is better because of the drums keeping the rhythm

The music video of this song is also one of Radiohead's best, IMO. Check it out.
It was released as a single so you might know it from radio play. It was used quite recently if I remember correctly in The Handmaid's Tale. They get used a lot in TV and film.
Just my opinion, but a lot of their songs don't really highlight Thom's voice, and so I think he often get underrated as a singer. The compliment I hear from most people who are casual listeners is about the emotion of his singing. He often even looks like he's another world when singing, completely wrapped up in the feeling of the song, and that's something I've heard many others point out.
