      I was just thinking of putting a thin piece of DSP in the back so it doesn't get wasted. That way you could get two envelopes out of one piece of laminate! Absolutely a great project!!!

      Positively Papercraft I was thinking the same thing the whole time I was watching, why waste the backside? Thanks for the update!

    What an amazing idea! I just love that you can have it protected but you can glue it down and not worry if it will stay! I just love this!!!! You can make less waste, if you have two different papers you have stamped or printed you can put them back to back (plain side to plain side) put in your lamination pouch and run it through. If you leave yourself enough room on the edges you wont need a piece of paper between them because you can trim away a bit of both sides and then pull apart as you did.

  • @teatimendolls
    @teatimendolls 4 ปีที่แล้ว +23

    Claire Gagne left me a comment letting me know you have used the method of one side lamination and credited me. Awesome! I cringed a bit that the other side of the lamination was not used also. i don't like to waste anything. But awesome job. Thank you warmly from the heart. Blessings love

    Save the laminating sheet “back” piece, they are great for die cut stencils. Cos the sheet has white paper on makes no difference. Heat has made sheet harder so cuts really well. And best bit......no waste!

    • @cazee100
      @cazee100 4 ปีที่แล้ว +36

      Alternatively, put images on both sides with copier paper between than you get most use out of laminator sheet.

I recently found some newspaper I'd spray painted gold years ago, and really wanted to use it in a project, but it was slightly flaky, which also made it look amazing! OMG! This is such a game-changer for me. I was just sitting down trying to figure out how I was going to complete a project that requires that one side of a card be protected. I was contemplating using clear contact paper. Well, this technique is the answer to my question. I think that I will be able to use both sides of the laminating pouch to laminate twice as many cards at once by placing cards on the bottom of the pouch followed by 2 pieces of copy paper, adding the second layer of cards then closing and laminating. Thanks for sharing. I'm so excited!

    So clever! Love the demo! Could you put pictures face down, two pieces of typing paper, and finally a layer with the pics facing up (four layers in the sleeve) - laminate. . .then cut apart and you would have TWO layers of pictures that are laminated on one side when you were done. Does that make sense? Because are you "wasting" one side of the lamination the way it is demonstrated? I am in NO WAY trying to criticize the demonstration, but rather understand the lamination process and how it can be done. God bless and thank you again for the lovely demonstration!!

      What a clever idea. I also wondered how you could do it without so much waste so I put my first piece I wanted to laminate in one side then flipped the laminate pouch over to the other side, opened the laminate pouch and inserted a second piece I wanted laminated. So your two pieces of the white paper are sandwiched between the designs you want to laminate. Cause the laminating machine heats up both sides. If that makes sense x

  • @jojos_59
