These were great reminders of fun projects. There is one that you didn't mention and it's a huge money saver. Run an empty pouch through your laminator. Then you have an acetate that allows you to emboss on it. The acetate for heat is very expensive.
@@dotmitchell8912I laminate a pouch with nothing in it and then cut my stencil designs on it, it works fine. I cut it with my Brother Scan and Cut machine. 😊
Happy New Year to you! Thanks for all these techniques. I will definitely be using them. If folks can't get the nonstick carrier sheet they could try using a folded piece of parchment paper as a good substitute. I've done this and it works quite well. Blessings to you. 🎇
Someone else in this thread could not find the nonstick carrier pouch, (in the US.). But I’m guessing it is like a Teflon cloth often used with a heat press when pressing vinyl onto fabric. The point of using the carrier pouch is to re-stick the lamination, but the bits don’t stick to the carrier pouch itself. I’ve done something similar for edges of something laminated that was coming apart. I use my cricket mini press on medium and pressed with a cloth. A Teflon sheet or Perchment paper would also work would also work. Just have to be careful you don’t get the iron too hot or leave it in one place for too long.
Happy New Year! May 2023 bring you good health, happiness and continued crafty success! 🥰 Thank you so very much for all you do and share, you are a treasure! Cheers, 🥰💕xx
I’m going to try making a clear stencil by just putting in a pouch with nothing except a piece of cardstock at the top thanks to your tip. I’ll put it through silhouette with my own design and hopefully have an easily positional stencil. 🤞
This is great thank you, your laminating videos are the reason I bought one (my husband doesn’t say thank you as it’s yet another thing to find a home for 🤣)
As a long time fan of yours, I have tried many of these great projects before but great to have them all together and to refresh the ideas. I have made so many of the pockets for my dies with this idea, they work perfectly and keep everything organised. Thanks as always Ann.
Just another informative video from the best channel on you tube, hands down. Your content is always right on and concise. Thank you for all do and Happy New Year to you and your family.
Happy New Year Ann! 🎆 Thank you so much for compiling all of these amazing lamination videos. I know it's a lot of work. Did you ever think, years ago when you first started paper crafting, that you'd get as far as you have? I've only been paper crafting for about 3 years, and I never would have imagined that I could make my own boxes and gift bags to fit anything. ❤️ You helped me get here.
Hello Ann: Just happened on your compilation video and wanted to thank you. Great video.I don't use my laminator near enough and you've given me many good reasons to get on with it. Have a great day!
Thank you for taking the time to show us these different techniques, although I’ve seen you do them before it’s nice that they are all together and it’s a reminder what we can do with a laminator. Happy New Year! x
Ann, First of all, Happy New Year, I always love absolutely everything that you make. I have a laminator that I used once and everything got stuck which made me afraid of it. I really want to make some projects. Thank You for all the great tips
I have been using these techniques ever since you first posted them. I LOVE them! Great idea to have a compilation video for new subbies to be introduced to the wonderful world of Positively Papercraft! Thank you Ann and I hope 2023 will your best year so far! Janet ❤
Ha! This was so great, Ann! I pulled all the things out of storage to give each project a go! I'm the most excited about the faux glossy accent die cuts! Hooray! Thank you so much for sharing your super tips!
Thank you Ann for your video on laminating. Thank you for the hack on making stamp and/or die storage pouches (any size). The idea on the stencil was not only a great idea but my feeble mind was able to grasp your instructions. Guess what I will be doing next!! Hope 2023 brings you more happiness, love and self-peace. Hugs xxx
Hi Ann. I love your laminating video's. I'm not sure if you have done this but came up with the idea after watching your video's. I have many stamps sets with words that don't get used because I kept them with the original set they came with. I would not remember I had the words or sentiment's or would forget which set they went with. I decided I would put all the thank you stamps, birthday etc. on a sheet together. I have some 5 mil 5 x 7 pockets that worked great for this. I first stamped the laminating sheets on the inside and put them through the laminator. But it smeared enough that it was hard to read what the words were when the stamps were over top of them. I then stamped on a white piece of card stock and left room to put the stamp above the stamped image. Put that in the stamp pockets and ran it through the laminator. Because it is 5 mil thick it was very sturdy after laminated. The stamps stuck to this surface easily. You lose space on your sheet when you store the stamp above the word or sentiment, but it's so much easier to read. I then put it a clear storage pocket. I hope this makes sense. I really appreciate all the work you do to help others.
Happy New Year, hun! Thanks for this great compilation. It's so good to have them together and you've inspired me to get my laminator out again. I'd totally forgotten about the glossy accents effect and laminating fabric. Thanks again, your extra effort is always appreciated ❤️
I just recently started omitting putting the paper in between because back to back doesn’t stick and I had to trim up anyhow. It worked . Thank-you for sharing all your discoveries! I love your stencil idea too and also your tip about inserting a piece of card stock so the laminator doesn’t jam. Laminators are fun! I love melting sh!t hahahaha
Thank you for the compilation, Ann! I've seen some of them but missed others. When you laminate one side of the patterned paper, do you ever have problems with it curling? Thanks again! ❤️!!
Hi Anne - Happy New Year! I've loved and used all your laminating ideas over the years. It's so handy to have so many in one place. I'll definitely be getting one of those non-stick carrier pouches!
Ann, Happy New Year and thank you SO much for this fabulous video!! I have a laminator, after watching some of your previous videos, guess it's time to get it back out!!!
I have recently come across your channel. What a find!!! Superbly presented, informative, brilliant tips and tricks, I love your compilations, very watchable over and over. wow those pouches!! awesome... I borrowed a laminator last week, am having fun, except I did several with wrong sides out and now have some nice THICK acetate!! haha
Hi Ann I have been searching for a good site for crafting and came across you, you are fantastic I don’t watch any other video by anyone else now, I’m just going through your old videos, thank you for your videos
I love all of these ideas! Do you think I could use parchment paper in place of the oven paper? Like fold a sheet in half? Thank you so much for the video! Hope you have a blessed New Year ❤😊
Such great tips! I love my laminator and am always looking for new ways to use it. It’s great having so many tips in the same video. Definitely saving this one.
Hi Ann I have watched a few of your laminating videos and have found them very inspiring - have also shared them with friends and we have made many pouches etc. Thanks for all your techniques - laminator is really getting a work out !!
These were great reminders of fun projects. There is one that you didn't mention and it's a huge money saver. Run an empty pouch through your laminator. Then you have an acetate that allows you to emboss on it. The acetate for heat is very expensive.
Sounds great Carla , do you think it could be die cut to make stencils ? Or use punches
I love this ,I have made lots of the pockets for my dies , so easy to use and use them more because I can see them at a glance thank you Anne
Crafters companion heat resistant acetate is cheap
@@dotmitchell8912I laminate a pouch with nothing in it and then cut my stencil designs on it, it works fine. I cut it with my Brother Scan and Cut machine. 😊
New to these ideas... The first 2 sheets laminated on 1 side... what do you use them for please?
Happy New Year to you! Thanks for all these techniques. I will definitely be using them. If folks can't get the nonstick carrier sheet they could try using a folded piece of parchment paper as a good substitute. I've done this and it works quite well. Blessings to you. 🎇
Thank you! I couldn’t find these and was checking comments to see if there is something else I could use.
Non stick oven sheets?
Great ideas, Ann. I bought a machine acouple of years ago and have never used it. Perhaps I'll give it a try after seeing your video. Ruth down under.

These are all good. I like to put dried leaves in the laminator to make bookmarks or other uses.
fab reminder of the different techniques x
Happy New Year! May 2023 bring you good health, happiness and continued crafty success! 🥰 Thank you so very much for all you do and share, you are a treasure! Cheers, 🥰💕xx
The faux glossy accents technique is awesome. I can never get that stuff on and dried without messing it up.
Thank you for sharing your videos
Ann, I'm glad I found you channel. I'm learning alot about laminating. Thank you. I have subscribed.

I’m going to try making a clear stencil by just putting in a pouch with nothing except a piece of cardstock at the top thanks to your tip. I’ll put it through silhouette with my own design and hopefully have an easily positional stencil. 🤞
This is great thank you, your laminating videos are the reason I bought one (my husband doesn’t say thank you as it’s yet another thing to find a home for 🤣)
Ann, any idea where we in the US can get something like the Swordfish Lamination Pouch Carrier sheets? It appears to be only available in the UK>
I couldn’t find them either. Maybe they’re called something else?
I think it’s like a Teflon sheet that is often used with a heat press. See my comment in this thread.
As a long time fan of yours, I have tried many of these great projects before but great to have them all together and to refresh the ideas. I have made so many of the pockets for my dies with this idea, they work perfectly and keep everything organised. Thanks as always Ann.
Great tips Ann TY. Where did you get those great scissors pls???
