I did forget to talk about the other things you can spend them on, namely costumes and second archive expansion upgrades. Out of those the only one that truly matters is the "servant" slot upgrades for your second archive. These allow you to store more embers should you have the need to hoard more for a future requirement. Otherwise they aren't really priorities at all. Thank you all for watching and apologies for being sick. If you'd like to support the channel, don't forget to hit those like and subscribe buttons! It really helps out and lets you be the first to know when I release another video!
Thanks for the video. It is good to have the numbers. When I started, I didn't realize that the CEs that you don't buy go into the rare prism shop so I missed out on buying a few of them before they got locked up. Nowadays, I always like to keep 5,000 MPs minimum in my account in case a must-have CE comes along. But, the reality is that while many of the new CEs are good to have, most are not "must-have". CE with things like mystic code gain and master EXP gain in particular, I don't feel like they are "must haves" because the gains aren't directly tied to resources. On the other hand, bond and QP CEs are directly tied to gaining resources.
I don’t really empty the renewable shop very often. And I don’t care much about the 4 yearly CEs. I have the QP and bond ones, and those are the only ones I really care about for my account. And I already have all of those so I’m good for the most part. I need to go buy the fous more often just to finish fou-ing up my non-gold, not-commonly used servants. But it’s definitely useful to have the math laid out like this. Thanks Khad!
Buying then burning the 3★ EXP from event shops, just burning 3★ EXP from free quests, doing the free daily rolls in the friend point gatcha for excess 3★ EXP and servants does add up through the year. Also, lottos boxes also have 3★ EXP per box to burn for a total of 60 mana prisms.
The 30 a day they recently added has been a massive boon if you aren't actively pouring money into the game. That's pretty much a thousand a month just for logging in, doing some stuff and burning your free FP rolls. It adds up quick if you are only buying the summoning tickets.
We need more and more worthwhile MP sinks tbh, and if possible not time limited. The MP shop CEs are trash nowadays and the good ones are locked behind RPs. I have over 35k MPs waiting to find some use and my stash just keeps growing. I even get stuff I don't need from the MP shop. I have like 20 stacks of Fous x2 from events and MP shop but no servants to use them on. * NOTE: I am a day 1 player, but I am not a whale. I farm 100~200 lotto boxes on average (I only stared doing it a year after Skadi came out).
Just a reminder if you are farming lots of boxes in lotto events, u get more than that 45 mp per box, which fucks the vid's math on the numbers of boxes u need to farm to break even, u will always be selling off the 3* exp cards, so it comes out to 60 per box, also u don't have to focus on leveling up everyone, its a great over arching goal sure, but burning some of the 4* embers in service of mp isn't as bad, u have to manage your priorities, do I burn some for shop or level up phantom of the Orpah, Eric Bloodaxe, Jekyel and Hyde both Gilles or any assortment of servants that wouldn't help your progression just yet this includes some SR servants that u might had the displeasure of pulling, not all servants are created equal, and u have to manage what would be nice vs what u actually need. the shop refresh essential items are tickets and Fous, everything else could be ignored, keys are great but they do not pose a priority for new players, and sure the exp sounds great but when u have a strong core of servants leveled up, u can hold off on spending your valuable mp on them, and instead just waiting for a lotto to get your exp for that or just using natural AP to farm 5* embers
All my servants are maxed out ... LVL wise. It sure helps the mana prism economy to just dump all the box embers into the incinerator. :) Also not having to buy the embers. And also just ember farm 30 AP node if I'm really worried. The lotto boxes are nice for secret gems tho.
The best way to get mana prisms in bulk is lottery events. Lottery events will also give you with many exp embers and skill gems, so you should save your golden and silver apples and use them during those events. Since you're new I don't recommend it, but once you np5 all silver servants you can burn them for mp too. Same for exp cards
Avoid buying the code unlocks early on and never buy EXP items. Honestly, once you get your main DPS and farming units to 1000/1000 for atk and HP and your supports to 1000/1000 HP, I'd only buy half the Fous each month.
You can Farm the 30 AP Ember node in Daily Quest it gives 5-8 MP per Run and you can Burn those embers by setting Auto Burn or manually Burning them in the Shop
As f2p, you'll likely not need as many embers and fous, so you can just focus on getting the tickets each month and limited CEs each quarter. Daily play and doing events should cover all your needs.
As a F2P player for 1 and 1/2 years, my advice is only buy fous and tickets, until you have 5/6k+ MPs then my advice would be to buy one of those very needed bond CEs for farm like Chaldea Lunchtime. Never farm solely for MPs you will eventually get a lot of them if you max farm lottery, just keep saving all your apples and save your time for a lottery. You can even install fgo Automata to actually be able to spend all your apples during a lottery event
I am burning the 4 and 3 star embers because I have a 3 turn for grinding 5 star embers for exp. and I really need to grind to get that new CE the one with the girl standing in the rain.
@@JaimeNyx15 Even a new account should burn 3* embers imo. It's trivially easy to just grab a bunch of embers from doing, say, the dailies, or even progressing story.
@@PeevedLatias Depends on where the account is, imo. I've finished LB7 on my JP account (much newer than my NA account), but I still have a bunch of servants to level and mats to farm, so I don't want to prioritize farming embers if I can help it. Not that 3* embers provide all that much of a benefit past the first ascension or so for most servants.
This video will always remain fondly in my memory as the video that helped me win the Guinness World Record for most times having watched a single youtube video in one sitting back in 1693. Back then, all that was getting views was crappy music like Canon in D and Sie Liebten Sich Beide, so this video being the one to have broken the record was pretty groundbreaking, if I do say so myself

And extra shops on new year's and anniversary
BTW, you said and showed Chaldea Teatime for the 10% Bond CE. It should've been Chaldea Lunchtime.

Yeah the QP and bond ones are the only ones worth buying tbh
Once you finish leveling your servants, if you are doing lotto and once you are bursting with embers you also start burning gold embers.

Seconded! I am a whale, and I have over 200k mana prisms now.
I don't even care if it's not even very useful, I just want something to spend them on.
Yeah aside from the ones that mainly give QP and bond the mana prism ces are not worth buying

Didn't realize we needed to farm ~175 boxes per lottery event. That's pretty substantial
There's also 15 3* embers in it, which reduces it to 130 boxes per lotto. Every event got another 100 3*/MPs in the shops too
@@CB-kf9up Ah, gotcha. I need any embers I can get in the current state of my newer account, but that definitely helps in my more established account.

Nice trick using naked Da Vinci to makes us click on the video faster. ;)

Does it restock??
imagine ever having less than 30k mp...... couldnt be me
Shouldn't Lunchtime and Heroic Spirit Portrait be the priorities? I also disagree with prioritising Mona Lisa. QP is easy to get from lottos.
