I often get questions from new players on where to focus their efforts and how the AP system works! There's a couple minute details that often aren't told to you and so I tried to cover the ones I thought people needed to know. If you have other tips and tricks for new players regarding their Action Points (AP), definitely leave them in the comments below! As always thanks for watching and let me know if you have any questions! If you liked the video, consider subscribing for more daily FGO videos!
A video on the best, and second to best in some cases, quests to farm mats might be a good complement to this one. The rate of accumulation is painfully slow but is the difference between having or not servants with highly leveled skills. As for why list second best places to farm; some nodes are far into lostbelts and new accounts might not have access for months; while others have a more desirable mat drop outside the primary mat.
@@thepureheartofdark The "best" aka most AP efficient place to farm is sometimes very complex and individual. There are spreadsheets out there to tell you the places with the best AP/drop ratio. It's not guaranteed those are the most AP efficient for you though. You might need other mats too and there might be a node where both materials drop, making that node more AP efficient. Easiest example I can think of is when you need Proofs, you might see that "Okeanos - Pirate Ship" is best AP/drop. Yet "E Pluribus Unum - Charlotte" on place 18 on that list also drops Void Dust at a great rate, making it more AP efficient to farm both mats there as long as you need both. Those interactions are sometimes so individual though that you basically need an external tool like the Chaldea app to figure it out for you. Would be great if Khad could shine a light on this in a follow-up video though, since a lot of people probably only look at best AP/drop to decide their farming location.
@@Menivorn Exactly. When I have some extra AP on a given day, I'll farm for materials. Currently farming Hyde Park in London because I needed For. Pages. But, you also get bones dropping in that node on a regular basis so it is a good node for that combo of materials.
I always say be efficient with your ap so when you can't be efficient it won't be a big deal. This last November my phone broke right as Imaginary Scramble came out and because of phone company shenanigans it took like a week for me to get a new phone. I had to spend apples to catch up and complete the event because I was behind but it was no big deal because I have such a huge stockpile for that very reason.
Talking about AP efficiency, I wish that drops were garanteed. That way I don't feel like I am wasting a whole day for nothing. Also, I wish they gave saplings as event rewards / lotto box rewards / in event shops and that we could set them to be used automatically so we could have peace of mind that our AP will saved in case something happens IRL.
Hear hear. With how grindy this game is, the AP costs are really egregious, combined with drops not being a guarantee. I've burned through so many apples trying to grind out Ascension materials just barely get enough materials that I need to power up a particular Servant.
As a player in his lv 140's, I play in the morning and use up my AP and then at night about twelve or so hours later, however I find that if I have 120 or more AP everything still tends to work out. This schedule is useful because when FGO is on "off time" if I am grinding a material I can usually say that it will take x number of days to grind out the required materials so it doesn't seem so impossible to do.
I actually just started JP yesterday. I’m currently completely overwhelmed with AP because I’m blitzing through the story. The 0AP story cost isn’t helping 😅
13:08 Sometimes, some changes in the naming go for the better in the NA an example would be from the trait going fron "Large" to "Giant" wich makes more sense in most scenarios, so I really hope they change the name of them to blue apples...
You are such a blessing, i really made some miss steps when I first started playing. These vids teach me a lot and are helping me get so much more out of the games
All I need to know: I have more apples than I can even spend, so use them freely. I’m using them quite liberally and they still really build up. They’re very generous with apple distribution for the most part. Though for new players it might be a good idea to not rely on apples as much as possible.
I spend AP 3 times a day. Before bed, in the morning and two~three quests in the afternoon. I have all of my main roster at 9/9/8 or above now with all the mats accumulated during dead weeks. The drop rate spreadsheet and Gamepress let me know which quests are worth farming for the needed mats.
Playing only in the NA, spending AP on morning and evening, farming bond points to get SQ out of servants. I need all SQ I can get for LB6 Banners and 6th Anniversary. Sun King's Temple is really the best place to farm Bond points, it even gives you 2 5* Caster Embers for every run!
I took advantage of the last anniversary on JP to create an account and play there just because of Arc❤️ I literally made tons of blue apples, and in like 3 days, i reached till the battle with Demeter. It was funny to see how i never ran out of AP lol, and how i almost reached the same master lvl i had on my NA acc at the moment XD
I would use up my all ap for the day, but I read the story, so that takes up time and patience, I try to solo things in story at my own enjoyment, and I also work 6 out of 7 days in the week to somewhat fuel my gacha addiction. Btw I’m trying to solo Medea Lily/Tsuna in Hein-kyo with my Tiara using necromancy.
In NA the Copper Apple is called Bronze Apple, just another JP different moment like how their Great success is x2 and Super success is x3 while the global version is the opposite.
gotta say, for a longtime player, it is actually hard to run out of apples. of course you can, but i use the ocasional bronze/silver apple almost every day, only use golden for lottos or when finishing the farm of an event (or if I feel like playing a bit more than normal) and i'm currently at 808gold, 517silver and 1079 bronze. I think blue apples are overkill xD
@@devildowndevildown6261 i just don't feel like farming for hours on 'normal' drop rates, when there are events to farm it better. I always have enough to get my servants to where i want them to. If you want we can compere boxes, see who is the casual >: )
funny enough, after blue apples came out they made the daily reward for completing 3 missions resources, which kinda makes it so you need to play abit everyday my solution is to just go fuyuki real quick, do 3 easy cheap quest and save my apples
I learned to use 2 silver apples after getting sick of nearly using up my golden ones. Trail and error folks, thats all it takes to develop a healthy game play. 👍
Khadroth could you do a video reviewing the new bonus QP/exp/bond pt CEs currently seĺling and upcoming in the shop? They cost a lot of mana prisms and I want to know Im buying the best ones. For example, is "Take Romance" worth it? Or should NA players wait? Are the mix ones better than dedicated 10% ones? Thanks.
Chaldea Lunchtime and Mona Lisa with Foumes as a third option are the ones worth going for imo. The others have bonuses that are split on not useful combinations which are not useful unless you want those ce for the art or completions sake.
during downtime like this in NA what's the most efficient thing to be farming? Right now I'm just farming qp because I'm low and the 23 million download campaign is coming up and I have tons of servants and ce bombs to level.
If you're able, farm the new High Level EXP Nodes because they drop 5 Star EXP. Or the High Level QP farm. Or if you really don't need either of those, Great Temple in Camelot has the highest raw Bond drop, only costing 1 more AP that what I've seen others consider the best Bond grinding spot. That Node also updated when 5 Star EXP was added to now have the Sphinxes drop 5 Star EXP instead of 4 Star. It's just a good place to grind between the Bond, EXP, and the mats you can get from it.
I don't need efficient I needed more ap I have ALLL THE TIME TO PLAY BUT NOT ENOUGH AP AND I'M NOT USING THOSE GOLD APPLES TILL I GET INTO THE LOSTBELTS

fun fact for the people who don't know, AP means "Action Points"

Does the saplings (not blue apples) expire? How many do we get and do we get more of them after the 25M download campaign?
It doesn't seem like they expire. They seem to only be obtained from Main Story. As for the amount, I don't know.
