I don't really see this as an issue tbh. The main way to get the rolls you want is crafting, so I don't mind having a watered down loot pool.
It isn't a problem at all honestly, it is a question I have gotten a lot in live streams so wanted to finally make a video about it 🤘
I agree. If I don't get a weapon I absolutely want or need, it's free scrip.
Moleminer gauntlets were probably a bad example. Anything that was in the game at launch is on the basic loot table, but the premise is accurate.
moleminer gauntlets are a friggin nuisence. they drop like candy off mole miners and weigh 15 pounds each!!!
I don't believe they are a default plan still in 2024 because I get plans dropped for them on the new characters but I almost went with the Mr Handy Blade as the other option 😂 I really want an updated loot table for default now that I think of it. Appreciate you bud
@@Fargassier you don't know how to craft them by default, but they're on the legendary loot table by default. Always have been. The whole "only drops if you learn the plans first" only applies to things added after launch. Which at this point is more than the base legendary loot pool.

@@Fargassier it's all good. Since I've played since launch, I have a better grasp of what's on that original loot table. The Fixer was actually the "prototype" for the system, which is probably why Encrypted only offers the one plan. They had big plans for the Wastelanders expansion and needed to flush it out first. I don't remember anything else being added in between.

probably dont stress about this so much. it matters so little in the grand scheme of things. If anything it makes finding a good legendary that much more rewarding.

I never expect to get a usable item from random drops. The best items are either named uniques (like Holy Fire) or craftable, and capable of being rerolled. Though I have known this from the start, I still learned everything on my main because that is the completionist toon. The others I stick to plans for their roll for though as they don't amass the same number or cores and script as my main.

Just learned hellcat power armor by mistake because of the fort atlas questline :( I didn't know I would auto-learn it. I'd kill to forget it. This alt was SPECIFICALLY to not learn bound items.

I'm an obsessive collector and must have everything learned. But before I went and learned everything I could I only got power armor and I still only ever get power armor drops. I don't even use power armor.

It used to be really bad for only dropping Power Armor pieces a few years back and hopefully you start to get some other drops soon 🤘
You could always start a new character for looting and customize the loot pool by learning specific plans and then transfer the items to your main
Yeah definitely not doing that. I was level 70 with a melee build taking out Earl Williams. the game's not that hard, I don't need to play two characters to gain the loot system

You def. could do that but I generally just learn everything but we had a few questions during stream about why that was the case and so I figured we should make a video about it. I just learn everything and don't worry about it. 🤘
I know the Fixer plan and almost NEVER see it drop from enemies. I have been careful not to learn junk weapons on my main. It doesn't really matter because I am using armor and weapons that will never drop anyway like the Cremator/Union PA/Thorn body Armor.
That’s bizarre I’ve gotten a few fixers from daily ops, boardwalk and even got a 3 star fixer just yesterday off the impostor sheepsquatch as I was trying to get another fixer plan for one of my friends who just started playing.
One day you will only get Fixers and on that day you need to go buy a lottery ticket 🤘

I really love the one that I rolled. It is an Anti Armor/Faster Fire Rate/Break Slower so in or out of Power Armor it is a lot of fun. 🤘
This makes so much sense now. I just started playing a couple of weeks ago. learned 1 power armor arm piece and I keep getting that ones. It’s the the ultacite one so I hate it 😂

i would really love someone to do a video talking about all of the sorces of poison damage avalable to the player the good the bad and the ugly i cant find any sorces on it on the wiki or videos that arnt from 5 years ago useing legecy wepons that arnt possable to build any more like a poison explosive laser pistal

How do you get your health to be in 5 segments like that? I've never seen that before but it seems useful.
It's a mod on nexusmods, visual mods are allowed. Gassy also has a video on the mods they use with links in the description 🤠👍

For instance, I never learned the Gatlin laser plan until just a few days ago and I can’t even count how many legendary Gatlin lasers I have found over the years. Hundreds
That most likely has been part of the default loot pool for a long while.
Heres the thing, my mate told me this and i think everyone's i havent learned a bunch of plans and i still get it, havent ever learned the excavator power armor and i still receive them from legendarys honestly ive realised i get more things of the plans i dont know? LVL 268 btw so its not like ive just started or anything
There are some items that get moved into the loot pool over the life of the game. It is like on a recent update Union Power Armor pieces were in the loot pool for folks that didn't know the plans but that was a bug. 🤘
I just had the union power armor chest piece given to me at the end of a event
The Union PA is inside of the loot pool right now but most likely will be out and the bug fixed for crafting it in the next update. 🤘
Too late for my first two characters, 3rd I've tried to think "is this something I actually want to drop" before learning anything, but sometimes my brain doesn't engage and I just click on it anyway XD.
Trust me I understand this more than you know with just learning but I think it is fine to learn everything 🤘

Search for Angry Turtle on youtube. He has a excellent guide on all the allies and so many other amazing videos for fallout 76.
I don't but I can look into doing one over some of them. My favorites because I am a food person is Yasmin and Grandma Junko. 🤘
I can proudly say that the only add-on weapons and armor I've learned is the T-65, Secret service armor, brotherhood armor, and the plasma caster. It sucks getting duplicate armor plans for daily ops, but I'd rather have the smaller loot pool

That would have been handy, although i don't know a lot of plans as I am just after very specific items and spending caps on stuff I won't ever use. However kinda wish to unlearn the shotguns & moleminer gauntlet lol.
Might be why i am not getting the fixer drops.
It is good to know everything at the end of the day but it is one of those things that isn't explained when you first boot up the game. 🤘

I have my Holy Fire Strangler Heart build so I don't mind all the crap I pick up along the way. I usually sell my bad legendaries at my vendor for cheap so that someone can benefit from a little extra scrip that day
I think it is fine knowing everything and I do the same thing with my legendary items 🤘
I want to have everything learned in my main character because I like to be able to craft anything I want even tho maybe Im never gling to use those things .
But I am planning to make new characters to do daily ops and get more legendary script and I will be careful to learn only the things

Do not finish the Brotherhood questline where you chase the doctor in the fev area. You'll learn Hellcat armor :(

When I learned how that worked, I deleted ALL my characters minus the main for that reason.

How’d you get the enclave power armor paint
This is the Tricentennial paint that I got from the collectors edition when the game came out. I think you might still be able to get codes for it but I don't know if they work anymore. 🤘

Idk if it's just bad luck or if fo76 devs got jokes, but when I'm broke I usually get more aristocrat legendary to drop, and on my unyielding build I always get more juggernaut stuff to drop it's kinda annoying 😅 all I know is crafting sucks rather it's bad luck or bad mechanics, I wish fo76 had a pity system, i just waste modules and get nothing but the middle finger in return and I'm left leaving the crafting table with a dreadful sigh. So I just focus on making caps instead and I server hop a few times daily and visit everyone's camp and hope a player is selling what I need if not I just go back to farming and try my luck again tomorrow.
It really does feel like that sometimes in regards to being on a full health build and they drop a great low health piece 😂 Keep it up bud and you got this 🤘
@@Fargassier oh I've been saving certain pieces 😂 gotta switch things up from time to time. Atm I'm trynna come up with a list of ridiculous, weird, funny, off the wall builds that aren't normally seen in Fo76 just mess around with for fun. Too many people worry about meta builds. Would be cool to see some of you popular youtubers make a mini series of just for fun wonky builds videos to show some love to some of fo76 weapons that normally don't get used who knows might inspire them to get buffed in the future. Just a suggestion tho. Anyways keep up the great content
So funny enough we have started back doing the cursed or amazing builds by going to the Purveyor and pulling random weapons and then spinning a wheel to make a build with them. I love the weird and goofy setups that shouldn't work but they do 😂 Feel free to let me know some suggestions and I will surely try it. The real thing you should make sure you dont learn is Undroppable items you wont use like Crusader pistol, Gauss Pistol.
Unless you are really looking for those items in specific builds but yeah that is a good suggestion to stay away from them unless you don't mind having your stash be filled up for a bit while you get rid of them 🤘
Even if you follow this, there’s still the default loot pool which contains a lot of garbage too😂
As we specified in the video there is a default loot pool but that if you learn certain items you will have a better chance of them showing up versus the default pool 🤘

@@Fargassier yeah but they're the default fixer, not a legendary. so its gonna take awhile to sell them.
Loot pool doesnt matter as much anymore as it used as the majority of legendary drops now are useless pointless heavy af power armor pieces. But yes there are plenty of plans you should never bother learning, mole miner gauntlet, I am looking at you. If you are a melee build do not learn any of the gun plans except for fixer and handmade as good rolls of those can fetch you caps or trade possibilities. If you are a commando only learn rifle plans. Heavy gunner only heavy guns. You get the point. Once you are high enough in level and have your endgame gun then your loot pool doesnt really matter anymore though as everything you pick up will be disposable in some fashion.

So don’t learn plans because you won’t get the weapon you want, but learn the plans for the weapons you want. Wtf?
If you don't want the weapon or armor to drop from taking out a legendary enemy or when you finish an event you shouldn't learn the plan.
Gotta love content creators jumping on the fallout algorithm train. All of these videos you guys are making have already been covered FIVE YEARS AGO. Your loot pool doesn’t matter anymore. You craft all of your legendary items now. 99% of legendary items will be turned into scrip to buy modules.
Got to love when someone makes a comment and doesn't do any research on the creator that they just left that message about😂 While the subject matter has been covered before there are users that only watch the new content and I haven't made this type of video before so it is new to my channel. I have talked about it on many Fallout 76 streams.

Well if you are going to say someone is jumping on a bandwagon then yeah you might want to do some research to see if someone is new to the creator space in 76 or if they have been slowly making more and more content around the game. Also, might want to check and see if they played the game at launch.
I don't consider someone who has been making 76 content for a year someone who is jumping on 76 because it is a hot topic right now. Though I am also the type that doesn't mind new creators coming in and making content on previously covered topics because with new folks the information needs to get out there and with a creator going back over a topic that allows TH-cam to send it out to people.

This is why Fo76 needs target farming. Dilutinbg ur loot pool by e3ngaging with the gamer and learn everything is just cripplng u in the long run cuz bethasda doesnt give a fuck about player qol

Where is your proof to support this claim that this is how the loot system works. Show some links or something otherwise this is just click bait. People have been claiming this for years but I don’t buy it.
I'm come to understand this is how it works in 3,000 hours in wasteland but if you want links and such feel free to google loot pool fallout 76 and I am sure you will find some.

I have been playing it since the beginning as well in the beta days and I don’t get a certain weapon drop from a legendary enemy outside of the default pool until I learned that plan. Just because you believe something doesn’t mean that it’s true.
Well I can confirm I have got many weapons dropped that I didn’t have the plan for so your theory is incorrect. Just sayin man.
