The thing your 18 hole rounds teach me is that having a great demeanour and a bit of humility can go a long way in helping you put a decent round of golf together, (not to mention no small amount of skill). I haven’t got your skill, but I will definitely try to play my next round of golf with a better mindset and see where it gets me. Another great video.
My GOD that shot at 18:50 was obnoxiously good had me shaking my head and thinking How?! Dan this content is just amazing keep making these vlogs they're so educational and it's so entertaining to watch you in your element. You probably have the best short game in the world at least that I've seen.
Another outstanding video from Dan. The amount of help us amateurs are given through Dan's is content is fantastic - the channel deserves so many more subscribers because it's the best out there
This has been really enjoyable to watch on a really cold winter evening and just go with you from hole to hole. Discussing your approach and how you attack each role is really helpful and informative.
Wow!! What a great lesson on course management. I have played 40 years of golf - always going for the hero shot. This should help me finally break 80 by just keeping my ball in play and especially on par 5's laying up on the 2nd shot to a wedge 3rd shot from 100-130 yds. Thanks for a lesson in humility.
Love Dan's positive attitude. He's gentle on himself if the shot doesn't work as intended. Kepps himself in the moment. A great lesson for me at least 😂
Love this 18 hole course management video (and all of them). Please keep it up. If you do winter short game training there, and there is availability to see Athens on the same trip, I’d be in.
I love these full 18 videos. Well done, Dan! Have you ever made it out to Oregon to play Bandon Dunes?? If you do, give me a shout since I'm a local here! It would be an amazing experience to video and play all of the courses at the resort
This may be the morning coffee talking but I love watching Dan talk his way through each hole. I like to pause it and think what I might choose to do and then play and see what he chooses to do. Maybe give the yardage and conditions then pause? Thanks Dan
Great pitch on the 14th Dan. Like you said though, the shot there for us mere mortals would have been to the right of the pin and look to take a 4. Great round Dan and as always some great pointers along the way. Hope you enjoyed the barbecue. 🍗 Thanks for all your help in 24 and for all the effort creating these great videos. Have a lovely Christmas and all the very best for the new year. 👍⛳️👍
Great vid. I do that all the time, like on the 13th. Forget to continue to move through the ball when playing a 3/4 shot, resulting with the ball going left.
I would pay to just walk the course with you and listen to you wax lyrically on about every shot and the intricacies of every hole. If i could play as well .. even better.
Add me to the pile of commenters that say that you are an absolute wizard. I tell you what though, I'd like to see you as a commentator for the PGA, your insights would be marvelous. Also, I may need a driver video from you because you draw it pretty effortlessly and I want to do that.
So nice to see this sort of classy and instructive demonstration of golf than the bro-inspired nonsense that's so prominent on this platform. Thank you, Dan.
love the 18 hole content to break up the short game stuff, your putting is amazing in this video, do you use the line on the ball? because i never see you line it up
Unfortunately for you Dan , i birdied the last on that course. So therefore i am categorically a better golfer than you , despite what handicap may suggest. 👍😉
This is obviously great content, but it’s not relevant for most beyond being entertainment. The biggest problem for amateurs (and the average male handicap in the UK is 17) is that most of us simply wouldn’t hit this many greens in reg because our technique doesn’t allow us to, so the course management element is a bit moot for most, as we simply don’t have the required skill to pull off the iron shots into the green that Dan does. A great variation on this type of content would be Dan going around with a 20 handicapper, a 15 handicapper, a 10 handicapper, and walking them through the types of shots they should hit relative to their skill level to try to hit below their handicap. This would give watchers a better grasp of what they need to do relative to their ability, in order to lower their scores. And it would allow Dan to better show off his knowledge of the short game and how it can help every day golfers.
I disagree, there is so much to learn, from the mental side - strategy and attitude, shot selection (doesn’t matter whether you can execute all the time - important to have a plan!), short game shot choice and putting tips. I have done a video with mid handicappers as you suggest as well which you can check out if you scroll down a few videos 👍
@ Hi Dan, thanks for your considered reply. I will definitely watch the mid-handicapper video, as I’ve not seen that yet. I think my point is that the plan you’re executing isn’t the same plan that most amateurs are trying to execute (nor should it be). You’re going for the green on every 2nd or 3rd shot, and a 30 handicapper, for example, is unlikely to be in that position regularly (as someone who plays with people of that standard, I very much know this to be true). But watching your video gives the impression that that’s a good strategy for them - it also creates a false sense of expectation for them as to what is achievable. I’m sure these things are demonstrated in your mid-handicap or high-handicap video though. Thanks for continuing to make excellent content 👍
The thought process Dan uses would be the same for scratch or 30 handicappers. High handicappers would just get more attempt as they crawl closer to the hole.😂
@@stevewenzel4882 I don’t agree. As someone who worked from a high handicap to single handicap before, the mentality and the shot selection is different. The biggest problem most high handicappers make is that they’re unrealistic about what they can achieve.

The 18 holes videos are so watchable and instructive. Great stuff Dan!
Glad you like them!

Love watching 18 holes with Dan. Makes you wish more players had his demeanor. Getting paired up is a nightmare any more.
Dan is just awesome, I learn so much just from watching his videos. Bravo 👏🏽
Another outstanding video from Dan. The amount of help us amateurs are given through Dan's is content is fantastic - the channel deserves so many more subscribers because it's the best out there
Absolutely delightful round of golf! It is good to see that you should think a bit and not rush in to your next shot. Well executed Dan.
Such a great video Dan!! Love the 18 hole format.
This has been really enjoyable to watch on a really cold winter evening and just go with you from hole to hole. Discussing your approach and how you attack each role is really helpful and informative.
Fantastic video Dan, you’re perfect for my course management, I will take loads out of your video on to the course, more please!
Great video! Loved every minute and learnt so much! Felt like I was there!
Love the nice calm way you navigate around the course
This man makes golf look very easy and stress free. Some player.

your best course management show so far. thank you!🎉
I don't even play golf anymore and I love these videos!
I watch a lot of TH-cam golf, Dan, and you putt better than almost all of them! Well done!
This was a good day on the greens but not always like this which you will see soon!!
Love Dan's positive attitude. He's gentle on himself if the shot doesn't work as intended. Kepps himself in the moment. A great lesson for me at least 😂
Another great watch good content , Very helpful tips for us lesser mortals keep them coming
Great round Dan. Great strategy talk. Great camera work!

Enjoyed that great stuff Dan
Amazing content! Please keep them coming!
These are the best videos on TH-cam.
Keep them coming Dan!
So very nice. I learn so much from your playing videos! Thank you
What a lovely course , great tutorial video Dan always learning regarding course management.
Keep them coming 🔝🔝🔝
I played there in 2022 on a work trip, shot 6 over, great course and the hotel complex was excellent.
Never looked in any bother during this round. Some quietly brilliant shots, what a lovely way to play the game
Quietly brilliant, like that 👍
Great video - thanks for recording that 👍🏼

Would love to one day
Unreal scrambling 👏
Its good to be Dan Grieves ..stellar player playing stellar course(s)👍🏼✌️..7th putt was an amazing standout in an amazing round
Looking forward to your Putting book…well done!!!
Yes might do one
As always Dan just great to watch. Anytime you’re in NZ I would gladly book a short game lesson!
💵💵💵
Love the videos Dan think you must be one of the best putters I have seen , not seen you 3 putt yet and the number of clutch putts you make. 🤙
I know it’s not fair but I am almost wishing that Dan misses a few greens so I can watch his chipping with is a thing of beauty, a delight to watch.
Great to watch Dan , fab reminder of course management. Looks like you have the same problem club as me ! 5 iron grrr
Thanks

Great video as always very nice course 👍

That green on the 6th is massive.

I don’t use a line, I’m just pretty instinctive with my putting. Art over Science for me.
@@DanGrieveGolf thats even more impressive, youre making this game look easy in these course vlogs
Just a heads up. Audio level is a bit low. Great video.
Thanks but audio perfect my end when I watch, sure you have volume correct on your device?
That doesn’t look like Adare Manor 😅….Dan what bounce do I want for all around wedge Bunker/fairway?
Adare Manor might be my favourite place to stay anywhere in the world!
125 euro Winter greenfee. Was planning to go there in Februar but the prices for a round of golf are going up too much.
Interested to know the cost per round.?
Not sure, it’s more packages to stay and play. You’ll be able to find it online.
❤
played this course - no way no 1 course in europe - albeit lovely location
No.1 golf resort in Europe, never said No.1 course 👍
Unfortunately for you Dan , i birdied the last on that course. So therefore i am categorically a better golfer than you , despite what handicap may suggest. 👍😉
Which was your favorite of the 4 courses
All different really and nice contrast. Hard to say!
Anyone else lol-ing that Dan put his flag next to his name?
Not me Dave, a very kind Gentleman does them for my editor and this is how he does it. But yes I am English!🏴
