I had one of these babies back in high school. I loved this thing. Still a note man. Had every one since. Only one I missed was the 7 due to the whole big bang. Typing this on my note 9!
We make mention of this in one of the Droid DNA comparison videos: even with the saturation turned way down on the Note II/SGS3, the color is much more true-to-life on the DNA. We talked rather extensively about that on a recent episode of the Pocketnow Weekly, as well.
I have had this device since it's release on Verizon. I love this thing. After a day or two, it feels natural in my hands. The battery life is awesome. He is not kidding when he says this thing is a beast. Most of my friends are jealous of this phone.
part 1: I have a note 2 for some time now and I have to say your review was right on. If I could say it all in a few words, if you are a power user, its VERY difficult to get bored of this device or find it lacks in something.
Great segment guys. What people need is real usage over time, to really see how the device feels over a period of time. I like AFTER THE BUZZ keep it up.
completely agree with every point u made, there definitely is no "letdown" even after a couple of months, it not only lives up to the hype but surpasses it and really delivers day after day. However, one point u didn't make and its the reason i sold mine after owning 2 months, was the pure size, mainly the width. I never felt comfortable even picking up a call UNLESS my hands were totally free and i knew i could concentrate and wouldn't drop it. When i sold her, i had a tear in my eye...lol
Bought this phone a little over a week ago, and have not turned back! It does turn heads tho, in fact most of my coworkers could believe the size of this phone. It was huge they would say. Fits my pocket with no problem whatsoever, but if you have tight fitting jeans it might be a challenge tho. Do not have a problem seeing this phone in broad daylight either. Battery lasts me the whole day even with heavy use. Overall very pleased with this phone.
Watched 3 of your vids just now, this one is what makes me subscribe. I think the concept :" After the buzz" is both smart and helpful, on undecided buyers (like me! just biding my time until I canz afford it, in a month is my guess), it has quite an impact. Thnx from the Netherlands where for some reason this phone is more than a 100 dollars more expensive than in it's neighbouring country, Germany. O.o
Great videos, and keep up the good stuff with the After the Buzz episodes :) Now am only waiting for the UPS truck to drop off my GN2 next week ! Cheers !
I love my phone! I haven't find a THING that makes it unworthy, maybe it took me a day to get used to its size, but when I did, any other phone actually looks small. I TOTALLY recommend the Note II.
Love my Note II. Don't use the S-Pen much though. I love the screen. Watching on it is such a pleasure! Doesn't hiccup on anything I throw at it -- 720p video, games, multiwindow, etc. Amazing!
I'll set aside our screen opinion/comparison (haven't seen a DNA yet, still think pixels are more than necessary) but I'll say that answering viewers and subscribers, really gives you guys points. We know its impossible to answer all the time, but every now and then... and you're pinned on the top of our favorite list. ;)
Thanx Tony Stark . I've been using my rooted n7100 for 3 weeks and all I can say is that this phone is a beast at the moment . I hsve previously used the i9000 the original galaxy s and all I can I say is that switching to a note 2 from an older phone is like switching from a pre2000 mid car to a race car .
I finally got the att update for the note2 and found the multiscreen. I am wondering if there is a way to get more apps onto the sidebar. I tried but couldnt..
I love my note 2, every time I pull out the phone I get at least one person asking about it. I never thought I would love the S pen, but I use it all the time(especially when scrolling on a Page or taking advantage of the air view)
Stutter is still here despite JB and Project butter...then again, the changes to stock android are really good, so I'm genuinely shocked that it doesn't stutter a lot more often...
Michael, you mention that the Galaxy Note 2 has overblown color saturation and it's pixel density is not top notch. However, there are two settings that will bring both color saturation under control and the pixel density in to "proper focus", so to speak. Both are found in the Screen Settings under "Screen Mode" > Movie allowing for color accuracy and under "More Settings" unchecking "Auto adjust screen tone". See CNET 'Screens test, part 2: Galaxy Note 2 vs. Apple iPhone 5'
2 Questions, how do I add Wi-Fi on the status bar and how do I add programs to multi-view? I have the Verizon version in case that helps. I think the multi-view apps comes with the carrier right? But what about the Wifi symbol? Please dont say that's carrier based also :(
your absolutely right about the 1080p and the building materials, but seriously u want a larger battery than it has it's awesome it's 3100 mAh what do u need more than that?
Still love my Note 2 and wouldn't trade it for any other phone out there, including S4 and HTC One. Will probably go for the Note 3 as it sounds like it will be a perfect update to the Note 2.
Nice review.. but one thing to add from my experience is that it is a bit fragile by S pen side. My Note II dropped from about 4 feet and my bad luck, it got huge dent there.
I had one of these babies back in high school. I loved this thing. Still a note man. Had every one since. Only one I missed was the 7 due to the whole big bang. Typing this on my note 9!
I love this series. Keep em coming.

LMAO When the "Postman" ringtone went off at the end for the blooper, I looked at my phone XD
Love my Note II. Don't use the S-Pen much though. I love the screen. Watching on it is such a pleasure! Doesn't hiccup on anything I throw at it -- 720p video, games, multiwindow, etc. Amazing!

Great video!
I like Samsung for thinking outside the box with this phone! This is as far from mainstream as one can get. All creds to Samsung.
//iPhone 5 owner.
Great glass Mr.Stark
your absolutely right about the 1080p and the building materials, but seriously u want a larger battery than it has it's awesome it's 3100 mAh what do u need more than that?
