Need to wrap some rubber tape and electrical tape around that huge splicing lug bc if it touches anything grounded, it's gonna short the battery.

Place the wire FULLY into the connected so that no copper is showing.

I used these on my sons car and it’s absolutely fine. I taped around the connections and it’s going to outlast his car.

Ayoo, just for anyone who may be doing this. Please dont struggle trying to shave off the housing. Its gonna piss you off, you’re gonna break wire, probably cut yourself once or twice, its just unnecessary. Just score the housing. take a blade sideways to the housing, push down firmly till it pushes into the housing, and slowly spin the blade 360 around the housing. It should make a slit where you can either just see the wire or atleast thin enough to pull off the rest, but for even easier removal score the little piece of housing you’re trying to remove, long ways, just so you can peel the housing off easily. (A video May describe this better but still trust me) Anyways, wish you all good luck on your future projects and may the car gods be with you all !

Use some dielectric grease or Vaseline to coat the wire before connecting it. In a short time it will corrode and lose connection.

Sounds like the truck has some problems. It will take some work but in the end you'll have a solid truck. You can always sell it and find a better one.

Don't use this garbage ,replace the old cable with the correct connections. And save your self the headache down the road.

You should have put grease on that wire before placing it in the connector, you should have put lock Tite on the Allen Screw to prevent a loose connection in the future!!

Shouldn’t ever need to extend the cables!!🧐Hill Billy hack right there….

  • @organicthug5220

Man you guys are critical. He’s a mobile mechanic from the south. Let him be. If it breaks he will come fix it for ya 😂

  • @Johnny-jr2lq

Personally I would have “tinned” the wire that was going into that extender.
