Life before bariatric surgery, it was hard. The weight was a big, major issue. I struggled with sleep apnea really bad. Blood pressure was so high. Borderline diabetes. I probably went through seven diets, but when the pounds came off, they came back really, really fast. I had to make a change.
By going to Temple, they helped me. They gave me all the information that I needed to succeed where I'm at today.
When I met my doctor, he told me that there was two different procedures for weight loss surgery. And I was a good candidate for gastric bypass. He pushed me because he knew I could do it. He knew I had it in me. You know? And he pretty much gave me the tools.
And his team, they all played a part in my success. My diet changed. I started incorporating healthy foods, so it was a great change for me. And once that change came, the weight started coming off.
I used to weigh 273 pounds. And today, I weigh 152 pounds. I do not have high blood pressure anymore. Borderline diabetes is gone. Sleep apnea, that was the first thing that went. I can breathe. I can run. I can live. I can chase after my grandkids, just a lot of energy. So much energy. This is all thanks to the Temple Bariatric Surgery Program.

Grandkids!!!!! I thought that was your son. Wow!!!! You look amazing. I am having my Gastric Bypass at the end of August. Excited, nervous, and ready. O know this surgery will get me back to me. Was in an accident that left me with restricted mobility, which became health problems on top of health problems. But now I have the opportunity to get my life back. I will put the work in to be a better me.

@@Julie-lh6bx Yes. The procedure went well. I had a difficult time getting adjusted to the new stomach and stayed in the hospital for a week. I couldn’t keep anything down. But it got better… I am loosing the weight. Definitely stay mindful of the foods you eat because there will be many things that you won’t be able to consume . Good luck on your weight loss journey.

I have all the medical problems she have and more my surgery is coming up December 21 2022 I pray that the Lord give me the strength to be as successful as your weight loss without the extra loose skin

@@raphies6122 my surgery went well but I'm having pain on left side not as bad now, my HW 230 SW 204 CW 195 it still kind of hard drinking fluids I need get more fluids in

I was going to get bariatric surgery in 2010 but I backed up 3 times and was already in the process of getting my surgery done I wasn’t obese that’s why I backed up on my surgery day i was really young and I was this close to getting into the process I did the process of bariatric surgery like 3 times I even did the classes, the testing and etc, but till this day my dr still offers me bariatric surgery and weight loss injections ‘ I did my research about bariatric surgery, gastric sleeve and gastric bypass for many years now 😌

Looks amazing not loose skin i am scheduled for 4/24/23 80 days away and I plan to get in the gym now thanks for showing your food sample I will do that from now because I really want that great results with no loose skin

Can’t believe she’s a grandma - she looks so young and stunningly beautiful. She should study acting as she tells a story so well. I could imagine her acting in a series or a movie with her beauty and presence.

It's the five year mark that's the hardest..
Can you keep it off with a life change or go back to the old ways. 15 yrs later after GBS.. I kept off 75%, which should be lauded as a success.., but I want the super skinny back before I die ... I'm 68yo.
The PROBLEM is, once you feel perfect - you can never be perfect again. Da.... It's about acceptance..

Sleev gastrectomy is bad.my son suffering alot with vomitings after meal always severe ,nd horrible burps..unnecessarily had s.g for 118 kgs..more than 130 kgs may be...complications terrible..can't see uffering
