Hi. I noticed that my 2019 Honda CR-V Ex’s transmission letters don’t light up when switching between D, R, S, etc. Is that not a thing in this particular car? I find it hard to know for sure what option I selected when I shift ( except when I select R), since the backup camera shows up on screen!

How do I add the compass to the top of the infotainment screen of my 2019 CRV Touring? My friend has it on her 2019 CRV and my husband has it on our 2016 Odyssey van. On both their vehicles it is left of the clock, upper right on screen. TY!
Thanks for the question. My best guess is that the compass is a “widget”. To add a widget, go to the Home Screen on your infotainment screen, click and hold your finger on an area of the screen that’s got no writing on it. A window will appear, press “widget” from that window then a list of widgets will appear. Click n the compass. Next a customization screen will appear with the compass widget in it. Click and drag the compass next to your clock and click OK. and that should do it. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
So I recently just bought a Honda CR-V 2019 however I can’t seem to customize any form of vehicle settings and tried to test the hidden menu options but didn’t do anything for it and for some reason the middle bottom portion of it is black screen. Any suggestions?
Thanks for the question. I would suggest resetting the infotainment system to its default settings. That should force it to go back to factory settings like when it was new. Then things should work a little better. Thanks for watching’
Any tips to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit? Just bought a 2018 that needs changed.
Thanks for the question. I believe if you go into settings on the infotainment system and then under settings click on Vehicle and then click on Meter settings, you should be able to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

How do you change the temperature reading to Fahrenheit mine is stuck on Celsius. Please help.
You should be able to change that by turning the car on, make sure the outdoor temp is displaying on the drivers information screen then push and hold the “trip” reset knob for 10 sec and keep pressing it until you get to the setting you want. Thanks for watching!
I’ve been looking at buying a CRV but I was curious if when you’re in CarPlay do you have to leave it to see your climate control changes? It shows them on the top left and right with the Honda menu but obviously isn’t there when you have Apple CarPlay on. Thanks!

@@Viper0412 I’m pretty sure that the climate changes will show in a small band where they typically appear outside of CarPlay.

I'm about to go into the 2020 CR-V EX trim this week. I've been hearing that the Infotainment Screen can be quite slow based on other reviewers.
Have you run into this with the 2019? I'd assume by now they would have fixed the problem. My 2018 Accord EX-L has been the best infotainment system I had by far.
We just reviewed the 2020 CRV Hybrid and the infotainment screen had great reaction time and resolution. We did not see any lag time during our time with the car or for the How To video. th-cam.com/video/AXjYsHmlflg/w-d-xo.html

Do you know any app that can start my 2019 Honda CR-V with keyless app?
Thanks for the question. If your CRV came with a remote starter (it would be visible on your key fob, a button with an almost completed circle) then by enrolling in the Honda Link program (via the Honda Link App that goes on your phone) you can remote start your vehicle. If your vehicle does not have remote start already, there are companies that may be able to, for a price, install a remote starter that works with a phone app. One suggestion in this scenario would be to google “Drone mobile App”. Can’t guarantee that will work but at least it’s a place to start looking. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

Sounds like an internal issue with the infotainment system software. Best to visit your Honda dealer for a diagnosis and repair.

I just purchased my 2019 CR-V and discoverd that I must use my Bluetooth phone to use the GPS. When I use this system, I am not able to use the radio (Sirius). Is there something I am missing? Is there another way to get my gps working? Is there some way around this problem. I want to be able to listen to the radio and have my gps working. Thanks for the question. My suggestion would be to use Apple CarPlay if you have an iPhone, or Android Auto if you have an Android phone. To do this you would need to connect your phone to the infotainment system via USB. This way, you can go to Sirius xm, select your station, then go into Apple CarPlay or Android Auto and use any navigation app you have on your phone, and Sirius XM will continue to play in the background. In my configuration and instrument panel I don’t see my all wheel drive tire symbol.. 🤔 I have a 2019 ALSO EXL . Anyone having the same problem and how can I get it .. thank you
Thanks for the question. If you have already searched through the available icons on the drivers screen, and have not seen that all wheel drive icon, chances are you don’t have an all wheel drive. All Wheel Drive was an option on every trim level. Now if you have the AWD lettering on the rear door, then there is an issue and I would recommend that you take it to a dealership to have fix it. If your CRV did not come with navigation installed, there is no way to install it that I know of short of seeing if the dealer would/could install an upgraded infotainment system. Depending on your trim level, you may have Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Using either of these you can run navigation apps from your phone and they will appear on your infotainment screen plus you can control them from there as well. Thanks for watching!
Is there a way to see what the battery level is? We are having lots of battery discharge problems.
Are you talking about the vehicle’s battery or you cell phone?
@@TwoGuysandaRide the vehicle battery. Our car battery has died twice and we’ve had to plug the trickle charger on it a couple of times....and it only has 6700 miles on it due to covid.
@@kimraynor8534 unfortunately no there is no battery charge level available indicator for the cars battery however just like most modern vehicles there are lots of electronics being run by the battery and the charge does not last long if they aren’t driven consistently

Sorry to hear that. I’m assuming you have connected your car to your homes wireless network so you can receive any updates that Honda sends. This is a fairly quick set up if you have not done it yet.
Is there really no album art over Bluetooth on the 2021 CRV? The 2019 Accord has it so I'd expect similar technology across all Honda Vehicles. CRVs must be a dated body style.
The infotainment system is not the most current available on other Honda’s. We’ll be happy once they finally catch up with the rest of the auto industry. Their vehicles are very well engineered but their technology lags behind competitors. Thanks for watching

You can access navigation volume for voice guidance by clicking on settings in the infotainment screen, then click on System in the window that is now displayed on your screen. Then scroll down a bit and click on Guidance Volume. From there you can adjust the volume of the navigation voice. Thanks for watching!

How do i add the internet browser to my honda crv 2019
Thanks for the question. On the infotainment screen, hold down these three buttons all at once- screen brightness, Menu, and Audio. This brings you to another split page. Click on the bottom section called Detailed Information and Settings, then click and hold down the Menu button until a different screen appears. Scroll down until you see “Special Functions setting” and click on that. In the window that appears click on “cancel android restriction” then use the back button to get back to your Home Screen. Then click on the Apps button at the bottom of the screen. Now you should see a web browser. Hope that helps and thanks for watching!

Not all CRV trim levels come with Navigation built-in. If it has Android Auto or Apple CarPlay then you can use your phone app for navigation while running the system that matches your phone. Thanks for watching
In the oil life it says 9587km, what does that mean? Unlike videobquebdice oil life 100%
Thanks for the question but I’m not sure what you’re asking? Are you saying that: in our video oil life is shown as a percentage, but in your CR-V oil life shows up as 9587km? If that is the case then because it’s in the metric system, it shows how many km left until next oil change is due, instead of a percentage. Why does Honda make that change when using the metric system I’m not really sure. Hope that answers your question. Thanks for watching!
How do you turn off the damned auto window opening feature? This feature can get you a soaking wet interior if it gets opened by mistake. It's happened to me twice. I was just lucky it didn't rain while it was open.
Do you mean the Auto/Express open or close for the windows?
@@TwoGuysandaRide If the unlock button on the remote gets pressed twice (it can happen without you knowing it) sunroof and window all open. Just a matter of time before it happens before a rain and the car gets ruined. Have not found a way to disable this on a 2019 CRV.
@@LordoftheCats check you settings for window controls in your center information screen. There should be a listing to disable or change that setting. If not then contact your local dealer to see if they can assist you
Can I turn the Guidance Volume off. It is very annoying. Even at 11 I cannot hear the music.
Yes you can. Click on “settings” then at the top of that screen tap on the “All” button, scroll down till you see “guidance” volume. Then you can adjust it from there. Thanks for watching!
Two Guys and a Ride thanks. I found the adjustment but it will only let me adjust from zero to 11. There is no “off”. If I move it down to zero, will it still let the music come through?
It should only affect the guidance volume, not the volume of your media that’s playing. Turning it to zero will be as if you turned it off. Thanks !

If you look under Settings in the infotainment screen, that is where you will be able to reset the infotainment system

Rav4 infotainment is better
We were both surprised how much more the RAV4 offered

The New RAV is vastly improved over the previous model. I’m sure the next CRV will leap frog over the RAV4 again as they have both done since their introductions
