I know ive said this before, but its so true. When she sang skinny love it was beautiful but it still sounded like a young person cause it was. IMO her voice matured and became even better as she aged and thats saying alot cause she was amazing from the beginning. I love this video. I love her voice. I love her Piano playing.
all4Hisgloryalone I went to one of her concerts a few years ago. There were seriously people who attended that concert only to hear “skinny love”. That’s such a sad thing... those people miss out on all the good stuff. Personally, I could care less about Skinny Love... we’ve all heard it a thousand times already and there’s live versions on TH-cam. I sure hope she doesn’t feel obligated to sing that song every single concert.

That little piano bridge at the end with the repeat chorus is a thing of beauty. Not to mention the Mona Lisa smile. :) The structure of this song is a bit more sophisticated than the average pop song.. absolutely love it. And then there’s the vocals: no heroics here, no vocal runs as is terribly common these days. Just plain and simple with lots of detail and nuance. Yep... Birdy in full flow. :)
