Great bike indeed! The sporty helmet icon is for a customizable rider mode, the curvy road icon is sport mode.

No joke, I’ve taken my xca on track for a triumph day and it wasn’t hanging around, the thing handles so well especially over bumps it soaks it up... love it

I bought an '18 Tiger 1200 XRT last spring and I absolutely love it! I have a little over 2,000 miles on her now and have a trip planned this spring down to the Redwoods.
    Great video!

I have the 2018 1200 XCA, essentially the same bike with a few minor differences. It's a brilliant machine!!

Thanks for the video. You did a video on the Bmw gs. Which bike did your passenger prefer and why? Thanks

Top Class review from you guys. Ticks probably all the boxes when considering a bike for 2 people. Would be interested in finding out how you got on after a 200 mile or more trip? Eg rain protection, wind protection, all day comfort, do your gloves get wet, how good are the heated grips (do they get properly hot?) and heated seat? And how comfy is the seat? .... and would you buy another one? Ride Safe!!

I have a 2015 version with 45k miles on it. I love the way it feels planted. Lowered so I can plant my feet. Covers miles so comfortably in all weathers with heated seats etc. Goes like the clappers. If I had money to spend I'd have no hesitation about buying the 2020 model (unless the new 900 wooed me, that is!) R

    Nice video!
Question, why not the 1260 Multistrada is confortable for two and when you ride solo is more fun, sporty, and is lighter compare to the tiger and the tiger seems to be good for long long rides?

Got the 2019 with free side boxes in May 2019 added top box €600+ crash bars I thought I was buying upper bars but triumph only had lower bars at over 300€ added but also added Heed (Poland) top bars specially for the 2018 model and got headlight guard from Hepco & Becker (Germany) and camera system with GPS front & rear etc. Upgraded my rear brake pads as I do a lot of slow control lesson demos etc. Rear shock failed at 34k km just before end of warranty this month thankfully but shouldn't have happened but fjr 1300as let me down earlier... top box rack failed within 6 months of install but replaced under warranty too, just had a major 30k klick service heart attack including exhaust shim adjusted cost over 1250€ euro, ouch! But really love my bike over RTs and K1200GTSE etc.

@@CaliMotoTV yes it does thank! I'm 6'3" and was wondering if the screen would protect from wind buffeting. Also do you think that a taller rider seat would improve comfort? Gonna try one of these on Monday and this review of yours definitely helped!

Greeting from the UK. Just a bit of FYI .. Glad you're liking the Tiger 1200. On your video with the Tiger, it only having 80+ miles on the clock, the rev counter can be seen to start in blue and changes to red (or orange as you stated) as the bike is telling you, you were going above the engine running in revs. Once the miles have clocked up and you're out of the running in period you'll find the rev counter stays blue till you get close to the rev limit.
Sorry, I should have stated ... I have the same Triumph Tiger 1200 XRT, with over 7000 miles on her now, after doing a trip from the UK to Dubrovnik, Croatia and back .. When I get close to the rev limiter I get the red colour as an attention getter on the rev counter.

Was there a lot of excessive heat coming from the engine coming up through your legs? The tiger 1200 is known for that.

I've had a Tiger 1200 XCa for about 8 months, and one thing I love about it is no heat from the engine hitting my legs or crotch.

sadly , it wasnt the bike for me . Failed many times engine leaks , had to replace engine case twice and also a gearbox , not to mention shaft drive play at 3-9 o clock . 2 years of sadness and only 10 k km . Unacceptable . i will go for a gs
