LIKE ALWAYS IVANNNN .... I DONE THIS TEST WITH A VTEC PRESSURE SOLENOID BUT I DID IT WITH A BLOWER GUN AND SHOP AIR ...... IVAN ....I'M STILL WAITING 4 U VID WITH U ETC 2000 AND U AMP METTER. .....
I'm getting this code on my 08 civic. It came with a blinking green light on my "D" indicator. I shut off the car and restarted and the blinking "D" went away but the engine light remained on. It seems to shift fine. I disconnected the battery for a few mins and reconnected. The engine light is no longer on even after a 4 mile test drive.
Hopefully everything is OK with it.
Don't worry, the code will come back :)
Did a fluid change, drove over 100 miles since. Still not back. *crosses fingers

I changed both pressure switches for my 08 Honda Civic and put in new transmission fluid and still getting the same problem. Any suggestions or ideas?

As presented this code does not call for any solenoid replacement, just the famous "3rd gear switch" - USUALLY CHANGED AS PAIR 'cause these switches are known junk parts (Expensive Solenoids being top grade).
Make sure transmission case "ground" connection is good then!
Nice one Ivan. Are 1 wire sensors always open or closed, or can they be variable resistance in some cases?

I'm getting this same error code after changing the transmission oil but I've been getting pretty bad mpg now
And i read online that this sensor can affect mpg
Just had my car serviced at the dealership (transmission oil change) 4 days ago and now I have the check engine light and "D" light flashing when I put it into drive. My obd2 reader gives the code p0848, I know its the sensor but is it safe to drive? Everything drives normal for the past day, what can I do to resolve this problem/or ask the dealership to replace to have the check engine light and "D" to go away.

I have a civic 98 the Transmision shifts fine when it's cold but when I warms up I gets stuck on higher gears it moves but I has no power when I disengaged it from D to 2 then it moves fine. Any suggestions? Thanks

Hello. My car is honda accord cl7 2004 and she was run smoothly just now gear shifting at damn exact parameters. Such as. 1 gear to 2nd gear at 1600rpm. 2nd to 3rd shifting good depend on throttle. But 3rd to 4th after 41km/ph. No meter the engine load and the rpm. But the RPM normal at this point much 1800rpm. Than 4th to 5th above
My car(civic 8th) don't show any blinking light, but the car can't moving to 4th gear until i move it to N and put it Back again to D, I have tried to change the big sensor under the air filter but the problem still the same, also tried to change the 3rd clutch pressure switch and I don't see any difference, does anyone facing the same problem? Need your help😢, thank you

The first simple thing to do would be changing the tranny fluid. With your case, it sounds more toward lack of lubrication in the transmission system.
Hi there. I had a problem with my 2012 5 speed auto Honda City where it won't shift past 3rd gear. Drove it to Honda service centre in 3rd gear. They didn't find the problem, reset the computer and the car is shifting like normal up to 5th gear right now. What would you recommend me to do now since it is running like normal?

This is a lot of work change the sensor from te first and save time
That's firing the "parts cannon," Ivan doesn't work that way.
My car has this issue. I have taken it to mechanics and they can not fix it!
