We make the corn casserole every holiday, but we also add sharp cheddar cheese to it. And it's so easy remember, you just need 1 of everything. 1 stick butter, 1 box jiffy, 1 can corn, 1 can cream corn, 1 cup cheese, 1 cup sour cream. 🤣
Can you tell me how long to bake it and what temp? Never heard of Jiffy here in Canada...thank you!
yep that is what i do as well but also add sauted onions as well to the recipe
Add some chives or green onions or a small can of mild green chiliss. We make this alllll the time and every holiday and reunion so we change it up! So yummy
It takes about 45 mins to cook at 350

My families favorite way to make cornbread is as waffles and we serve chili over them. I'm going to try the first recipe for sure but they all look delicious

They have lots of recipes on their website too. One of my favorites is a corn pancake. There's a copycat version on the internet of IHOPs that they used to have on their menu years ago.

This has always been on the menu for Thanksgiving my grandma called it corn pudding and made it from scratch. When I tasted my first Jiffy Cornbread it tasted just like hers and I had a stash in the cupboard always. I now have to use gluten-free Krusteaz but it does taste great. Can't wait to try these! Thank you for the awesome videos and ideas.
Laine Ruscelle, if your change of recipe (Jiffy) was allergy, the white corn has not been G-M-Oed so may be the perfect alternative in your cooking.

I love the way that you cut peppers with no waste. I use everything also. If I bought it then I will use a much as possible. On some channels they throw half the pepper away and when peeling onions they cut in so deep that half the onion is gone.😊

They all look good. I'm going to have the sloppy joe casserole. I don't have any ground beef so using turkey. I got that chopper and cheese grater after seeing you use them. I absolutely love them. I also got the Mueller food saver but it wasn't sealing at all so retuned it and got another type. Love your videos

These all looked delicious. I think the one I’m most pin trying is the broccoli cornbread. I love jiffy cornbread mix but I’ve never seen a big box like that, I didn’t even realize they came in that size lol

That corn casserole looks dreamy yummy. This California girl is learning so much about casseroles from you! Lol! I grew up in LA and live in SF, and we just don’t do a lot of casseroles out here. But I love them now? Like who wouldn’t? They’re all topped with cheese!

In case your viewers need a gluten-free cornbread mix, Krusteaz makes one, and I use it when I cook for family gatherings. The Jiffy mix does contain gluten. With the corn casserole, I also add some bacon pieces, a small can of green chilies, and shredded cheese. YUM! Have a wonderful day. Blessings and greetings from central Florida.

I have made that corn casserole and its so good .. i want to try something like the sloppy joe but pot pie instead
We often make 'fiesta' cornbread and add in some sauted finely chopped red and orange bell peppers, and onions, plus sweet corn and a small can of diced green chiles to 2-3 boxes of mix. Great with a bowl of chili or crumbled under taco meat and fixins!

The corn casserole is a must have for us at Thanksgiving. My kids love it! I’ve made a similar sloppy joe type dish but I add salsa and black beans to the hamburger mixture and put a little hot sauce in the corn bread mix. So yummy!
Hey Mandy :) My favorite jiffy recipe is tamale pie. I believe you can find a recipe on here by delish!
You'll need one small box jiffy, one egg, one can creamed corn, one cup sour cream. Mix together and put in a 400 degree oven for 20 minutes. While this is cooking, make your favorite taco meat. Once the jiffy mix is done, take it out and poke holes in it. Pour a can of enchilada sauce over the top(I usually don't use the whole thing.) Top that with your taco meat and a good helping of shredded cheese. Bake for another 20 minutes. Yummmyyy! 😋

If you want to amp up the corn casserole, add shredded cheddar cheese. I add 1 cup to the mixture and a cup on top. It really ups the recipe.

And a cup of sliced jalapeños
Copycat Jiffy Cornbread Mix (Without the unhealthy hydrogenated lard !)
⅔ cup flour
½ cup yellow cornmeal (I used medium grind)
3 Tablespoons sugar
1 Tablespoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
2 Tablespoons grapeseed, or avocado oil (or mild flavorless veg. oil of your choice)
To Make Muffin Mix
Whisk together flour, cornmeal, baking powder, and salt.
Add oil, and mix until combined thoroughly, and there are no lumps. Store in a mason jar or zip top bag.
Equivalent to a small box of Jiffy Cornbread mix
Use in all recipes that call for Jiffy Cornbread mix
(For muffins, add 1 egg and 1/3 cup milk; 15-20 min. on 400 degrees.)

LOVE LOVE LOVE the last cornbread casserole recipe!! I was introduced to this recipe by my [then] husband, it was a family favorite!! The version he shared with me has a few more ingredients or variations but either way it is a DELICIOUS addition to any meal where cornbread goes well. We have included small diced slightly sauteed yellow onion, small diced bell peppers of all colors; as well as, either diving up jalapenos or using the kernel corn that includes chili peppers. SOOOOOOOOOOO good!!! Thank you for sharing the recipes, cannot wait to try them!💜🤗

Thank you! Love this reminder of how good cornbread is to make at home during the colder weather! This is a good thing to do with leftover red chili made with chili beans and most of the ingredients you used for your sloppy Joe's (except garlic). I put the shredded cheese on top of the chili before I pour my cornbread over the whole thing, a basic cornbread recipe, but as it bakes, it raises up about 2"higher so it looks like a pan of cornbread (with a delicious surprise of chilie underneath the topping). This is such a fun channel, Mindy! 🥰

The corn casserole is a family holiday side dish staple in our house since it goes great with turkey and ham. It was my kids favorite part of the meal. They named it corn mush many years ago and that's what we've called it ever since. The sloppy joe dish looks really yummy. I'll have to try it. ❤️

Oh my yum!! You never disappoint! I have to make the corn casserole for holidays, only we’ve always know it as KY spoonbread, some call it corn pudding. We love quiche so I’m definitely going to try the broccoli recipe, and maybe add ham & some Dijon mustard. The Joe recipe sounds delicious too.
