My mother and father along with my older brother and little sister, ran successful Italian restaurant for nearly 35 years and my other brother and I helped sometimes, as did nieces and nephews over the years eventually. Yeah they were lots of arguments but hey we're Italian so that's to be expected lol. When my mom and dad got older and both of my brothers died, we sold the restaurant to family friends and it carries on successfully to this day. So it CAN happen.
@@RicoCosta317they didnt say it couldnt happen they just said you’ve gotta have a special relationship. Turns out you got the better end of the stick which is great. Sometimes family in business just doesnt work
This. My bf tried working with his mum. It ended so badly, he went no contact with his whole family for a year. They're on okay ish terms now, but he refuses to ever work long term for family again. And with him finally going towards a career he wants, I doubt he'll ever go back.
staff should never be expected to show up before their shift.. if they are needed earlier, schedule them earlier. Don't be passive aggressive expecting people to know what you are thinking
I noticed that the biggest amounts of swearing words, miscommunications and ISSUES AS A WHOLE happen a lot more in the episodes in which families are involved
I feel sad for the owners who took over, they seemed to do well until the original owners decided to sue them; it’s terrible and I hate hearing that they crushed them financially like that on top of covid happening
I can only assume the new owners did not follow something in the buy out contract. For all we know part of the buy out was to keep paying towards the business and they didn't fork up. I had the reverse happen. Bought a company and the old owner kept using the business name after we purchased it. Had to sue the old owner in court because we bought the name, it was part of the terms of sale.
Amazing how many people don't listen to basic advice and mix family with business. At some point you're going to have to choose one over the other, not a great idea to put yourself and your family in that spot.
Seriously? She should ha e kept her options to herself? 1) she was literally asked 2) if these problems effect her then she has every right to say something.
Mark was weird. He looked like he was on drugs half the time. Fay was nothing but a pack of excuses, she had no responsibility taking at all. She should never have hired any family members. And she has a huge control freak issue.
It’s heart breaking to see how selfish people will destroy business opportunities & waste resources. I have gotten very harsh about restaurants these days - idc how great the food is, if you refuse to do what is needed to stabilize things for staff & vendors, you don’t deserve a business license! It seems like so many small business restaurants go out of their way to fail & DGAF about the economic consequences for staff. People’s ill conceived fantasies should not be turned into biz plans, can we start making new biz w/ employees actually suffer consequences when their horrible personalities ruin everyone’s livelihood?
Fayza seems to be a horrible person. Wanting staff to come in BEFORE they need to clock in, is just a no go. Anyone who ask to do that is a literally robbing their workers . Then going after the new people can crushing them for making the thing successful.
I feel sad for the server amel She was the only people in the restaurant i liked the most, and the old lady devil fayza just keeps demeaning her Her own grandson marl who is the waiter also keeps demeaning her and he gets away with it cause fayza seems ok with it
They probably couldn't find anything about her. She probably isn't active on socials and it's hard to find out things about someone when you don't have a full name. Because it seems (based on past videos) that they check socials and when they have their full name then they do the rest of the research to find out what happened to them after the episode/episodes. If they don't have social media...then you only have a first name to go buy and that makes the research a lot harder and a lot longer. And some people just don't have the time to go down deep rabbit holes that might lead to nowhere. Not everyone is that invested.
This is why you should keep family and business separate. Unless you have that special relationship that can’t ever be broken, it will never end well

This episode was almost painful to watch because the disfunction of the owner Fay and Mark was such a carwreck.
The lawsuit sounds like sour grapes. They couldn't make it work, so they tried to take their ball and go home.
Fresh-frozen is now a household term

Divorced?! But she was so pleasant, and reasonable, and kind! And such a good cook!
The funny thing is I was literally thinking about this episode yesterday and wondering if this video was here. Low and behold, here it is now

I was waiting for you to update on the waiters too 😭
I dunno who said in the comments that "amel is a waitress and should just kept her opinion to herself" about the episode
But she sounds like a karen

Excellent timing, was scrolling and looking for something to watch 👍💙🏴
I literally thought they had survived from other shows...thank you for telling us the REAL
Fayza is a textbook narcissist. She's a very unpleasant person overall.
"Least popular Kitchen Nightmares episode ever." Ouch!!!
I realized I've been watching the videos for about a week or so. Subscribed ☺☺
"Why don't you show up 1h early" like sorry what?

Honestly, Fayza's ex husband deserves a 30 year old after being married to her for over 30 years lol
The son on this episode... Oh man, I bet he saw a lot of the inside of his locker at school. Sheesh

Wut?
It's rumored that Fay used her feet to mix and mash the humus 🤮🤮🤮

Didn’t mark end up flying a plane into a building?
Look ill back just about any awful thing people post in the comments. But this is just low class and tasteless.

Is the video's narration AI generated? It sounds so artificial.... I dont like it.
It's not dude

no, its just less than ideal editing, its not that big of a deal
This comment is generic and could be copy pasted on any video, must be AI. The guy has a distinct voice and minimal editing, that's about it.
