Ducati breakdown of the install and all the parts, nuts, clips and such. Helpful to see the exploded view parts diagram: issuu.com/desmoworks/docs/monster_821_stealth_usa_my20?fr=sNDk3YTE3NzE1NzM
Thank you so much for this very informative video, like you’ve mentioned there is not much information going around on the internet, and this was exactly the type of video I was looking for. Safe ride, take care!!!
I suited up with long underwear, leather casual wear jacket and some winter specific motorcycle gloves (22 years old)...went out riding without the small windscreen city and some hwy, 40 degrees. With all the added clothes on it's hard to tell if the little windscreen really helps to defect any air around me. My assumption is adding the windscreen like the small ducati is mostly for looks but it could take away some wind force on the body/chest/helmet at 75-85mph. The Puig brand, their taller ducati monster windscreen advertised online would likely offer a fair amount more wind protection as it's taller/more purpose designed. If they make it for all the specific year model 797, 821, 1200 monsters. I personally don't like tall windscreens on sport bikes, naked bikes of this nature. If I wanted to go that route I'd buy an adventure bike like a multistrada or another brand.. Multistrada, Diavel or a Scrambler not my vibe.
@@GettingthruLife that’s the thing, to me it’s not so much about the functionality, I simply just like the looks of it, to me it just gives it a more complete look. Guess what I want for Christmas?🫢🤣

Hey man, hope all is still going good for you, just a quick update, unfortunately Santa didn’t came by on Christmas, but luckily I was in a financial position to get myself a flyscreen which I ordered about 2 weeks ago, and still waiting for delivery, as it’s being imported from Italy, but I’m just curious, which size screws are those for the bracket which are sandwiched in between the speedo meter, as I need to get myself such an allan key with a bolt head, I’m not that loaded with tools 😂😅
Very easy install if you get the actual ducati part. Take the front part of the instrument cluster off, mount the brackets as per the instructions, then attach the windscreen 4 screws/ 2 each side. Toughest part is the angle required to get to the small screws. Helpful to have long Allen wrench with the ball head.
I worked out with my ducati shop where i bought the bike from so I did not have to pay the ducati service department. I was not told that i needed to have ecu update when i bought the QS. Told i could just install and it would work. They cut me a break. I think I recall $125. Yes, expensive. Check with your local dealer. Takes their laptop and ducati software.
@paulmcpake2734 I don't use it all the time but if you go fast thru the gears this is way guicker. Seamless, full power shifts , buttery smooth. Just get your footshifter adjusted for your foot/footwear, foot size. Helps give you more accurate upshifts.

I thought this would be a video showing the installation ?

Much does it cost to install quick shift
