Honestly i was very hyped i was ready to go all in BUT, after some research no matter how much i want firefly as a character its soo much hassle to make her work not to mention MANDATORY Ruan mei and harmony mc Gallagher 50/50 but still best in slot so yeah only 1 optimal team without this setup she drops to 1/3 of her usual damage so its not viable in endgame activities at all, works only on break cause crit and atk values got butchered her lightcone is big meh.. So sadly yeah it got me heavily rethinking if i should pull her at all im conflicted cause i want her but also im f2p and limited on resources so i would like to have a functioning teammate too not only a collectable :/

Her true strength is definitely her sheer speed. Girl literally becomes an F22 Raptor once she ults, fastest DPS in the game

@@moikha226 the main problem with boothill imo is the heavy single target focus ... im still relatively early/midgame but it really feels like the game prefers chars that can hit multiple units at a time ... or at least can likehit more than 1 with followups in the same turn minimum
The fact she's on the same banner as Ruan Mei is nothing short of pure evil on Hoyo's part.
I actually think it's kinder this way. Imagine if they put Ruan Mei AFTER Firefly. Many people would pull Firefly and then have to hope to get lucky on Ruan Mei's banner. With them both being at the same time, you can pull Ruan Mei first and then try for Firefly afterward if you have things left over. Ruan Mei is great without Firefly but not the other way around, so it works out.

I hear people complaining that at the moment she only has one team, but at lest that one team is swaggy af.
Yeah most break characters will have this problem since its a pretty new team type so there's not alot of break support. Atleast firefly can turn atk into break effect so having normal atk buffers isn't awful either.

@@darkwolf9637pretty sure attack buffs don't work because they don't get added to the stat page ... It will give you more dmg but it won't get converted so the buff will be smaller than your expecting

one of the times that i can thank that random leaker on my youtube feed. Cause I was able to warn my f2p friend whos new to the game and a massive simp of ff back on robin's banner. Now he can guarantee both and even go for e1 or s1 if he wants too.

I was initially going to akip firefly since i just got boothill and his lc, but ive been building a lot of pity and the next character i wany is Jioaqiu and he isnt coming for quite a while. Break teams on both sides all the time will be lots of fun!

i have soemthing like 80 pity and 24000 gems and some tickets, so i pretty hyped to get both and i should have enough if im lucky for a future character.
good thing i got ruan mei on her debut. i need to work on speed for the rest of my team. i plan on nuking swarm 5 on a different path. i managed to beat it on nihility path. i haven't been able to beat golden gears 4 and 5 yet, so i hope with firefly it will finally happen.
I started HSR just about a month ago and with my big beginner pile of stellar jade I decided this set of banners would be perfect to set up my first 5-star team. I got Firefly though I lost my 50/50 so Ruan Mei will have to wait a bit.
But holy cow, just with my Firefly/Gallagher/Harmony TB/Asta team I’m steamrolling through the rest of the beginning levels of the Simulated Universe and Forgotten Hall. I’ll have stellar jade farmed up for Ruan Mei in no time.
And the timing couldn’t be better - I just got to the point where I need to ascend characters from level 60 and it was starting to feel awful grindy. It feels good to have a powerhouse team to break through this plateau. Oh and I absolutely love dive-bombing enemies with her technique.

I just have a question for you and the comment section and I have been contemplating this for a while now. Is it worth it to upgrade your characters to level 80?

Thx for the advice, I was right to decide to try get her E1 after getting her. If I have any tickets left after going for her E1 (going for Eidolons for limited 5 stars is something I've never tried before), I'll dump it on her Lightcone banner. Never pulled from a Lightcone banner I think, so, I'll most likely be starting from the default 0 Pity for that. At least Lightcone banner has a 75/25 and not a 50/50

Been loving firefly! Landed E1 on a 10 pull and with the new divergent universe we get to really try out some of our low level characters. I can't wait to build her and (hopefully) get Ruan Mei. Most importantly since HSR dropped I've loved your videos and hope you keep up with the content!

I wasn't planning on pulling Firefly till I realized how OP her mechanics are and how touching her whole story was. She seems like a very valuable unit for someone like me with barely any physical units.

I just lost all my jades pulling for Robin, Topaz, boothill and Fu Xuan so I don’t know if I can pull firefly. But I’ll definitely try! Also some of my favorite games are also the Pokémon games, specifically sun and moon!

Her team with galagher trablazr and ruan mei seems very sp positive, is her E1 really that beneficial? I don't think that you'll often lack sp for her skill if you play properly
Hey, I am a new player and I barely have characters...well...I have a couple but most of them are sustain and buffs.
The only dps I have right now is Sushang, she is good and I really like everything about her. The thing is, that I don't have any AoE dps and just want to know if she would be valuable for me.
my ultimate goal would be E2S1 firefly with E0 Ruan Mei, but knowing my luck i will have to settle for much less now and wait for her rerun =D

I think that planar set is just the best general use set now if you mix it with musketeer and spd boots you get like 36 spd and 12% atk with no other subs or main stats. The fire weakness is just a cherry on top for firefly.

I had originally planned on pulling for both Firefly and Sam regardless of their kit strength, but when it was revealed that they were the same character(as well as broken kit-wise), that just made it a guarantee! Some of my favorite games are the Elder Scrolls series, Fallout series, and the Witcher series.

I pulled Boothill and Firefly back to back. As in: The last pull of the 2.2 was Boothill, next pull in 2.3 was Firefly.

the E1 > S1 mention is so validating for me idk why. speaking of Eidolons, if you’re going for E1, try to get E2 if you can. That’s like an E6 of another dps

Question: Does the break dmg def ignore of the new relic set also count for super break? Does super break ignore 15% or 25% def with the 4 pc?
Hi! If I’m not mistaken based on the wording, it mentions an “additional” 15% for super breaks, which would mean 25% def ignore for super breaks :).

Super break counts as a break ... Break does not count as a super break ... So yes it should stack

So when Firefly needs to have 360% Break Effect, does it have to be as a base effect or based on the buffs given during battle? And is it redundant to exceed Break Effect past that 360%?
Given in battle! Ruan Mei and Harmony MC help a lot with getting break effect :D. It's not a bad thing to have over 360 when you do break the enemy's toughness, but her skill DMG is capped at 360, so I would say get 360 within battle as a priority and work on her speed.

Both firefly and acheron are a godsend for me, i came back to the game after MONTHS of no playing, i somehow had sw and e6 pela on my account, so i got acheron who could brute force content with ease, and now i am siting on 230 pulls for ruan mei and Firefly... Firefly can also bruteforce content!
Question:
If I, hypothetically, get an ATK Rope of the new Planar set that rolls 4-5 times into BE and plan to Build her with Aeon Lc, would that still work fine? I mean, the higher ATK stat would increase even more with the Lc passive and FF's Trace should cover the lacking BE, no?
Mhm could work , but is more easy full BE rope main stat.
It would work fine, but BE rope with ATK/SPD substat is better.

"Quid Pro Quo" could work on Gallagher, but it wont sometimes work in some situations if other characters don't have their ultimate yet. You could consider Tingyun, however for the ultimate she has that regenerates 50% of one character's energy and can increase the damage of the character by 56% for 2 turns, but she won't be as viable for the team, however.
They knew what they were doing running a break character and ruan mei at the same time, they'll probably get more swipes on this banner than ever 💳
My E1 Ruan Mei is ready to boost my FF into my strongest dps on my account. 😊

It is, why would you even do that. You will miss at least 1 important character for each of these characters. Boothill is best with bronya and firefly is best with HmC.
F2P, have enough for a guaranteed character and lightcone. Don't have either. Should I go for Ruan Mei and her light cone, Firefly with her light cone, or a character and the opposite light cone?
From what I heard, and seen, Firefly's Lightcone ain't that big of a deal, Fall of an Aeon and the Misha LC aren't that far behind from it. The biggest flaw of her Signature LC is the really low base attack it provides compared to other options.
And regarding Ruan Mei and her Lightcone, her Lightcone is huge but mainly if you want to achieve 0 cycles, so unlike Acheron's I wouldn't say it is a must pull, it is a optional luxury lightcone. And we know how dang strong Ruan Mei is, even at E0 she is a game changer.
So the priority imo will be
Ruan Mei > Firefly
Optional Luxury tier
(Ruan Mei's LC > Firefly's LC)
Actually the New SU Set is BIS for everyone to the FF team because of the extra Speed and massive 40% BE and if they are on the FF team It'll have 100% up time because of the fire Implants.
Firefly will definitely be the strongest character in meta break, she's so fiery 🔥

Jade, boothill alr does similar dmg to firefly but in single target and also because boothill and firefly are both break effect characters so going for jade who is a fua character might be better since more varieties
