The streamlight chargers stop charging the battery when the battery is fully charged. It will not damage the battery. You can leave it on the charger as long as you want.
Very true, but just make sure your charger is grey and not black and says "Smart Charger" on it. Black standard Streamlight chargers will burn out (I went through two) the charger board. Grey is the good one.
Im not law officer but I do need a bad ass light. My stinger 2020 stays on the charger all day. I only use it to do pretrip and post trip trips and check my load. I have the grey on and I’ve had it 9 months
I have gone through two 7060’s, three stingers (1 older stinger xt 2 stinger LED’s), and the surefire R1 lawman. Surefire is the only that has lasted as far as the light goes. The surefire is on its second charger and third battery. I am honestly not overly impressed with any of them. Surefire has been the only one that has lasted though, albeit with lots of batteries.
I am a sucker for streamlight. Their craftsmanship is top notch. I just picked up the Streamlight pro-tac. It's the perfect size for an everyday light.
Disagree, at least in my use it has been less than two years and my streamlight stinger HL cannot even last a full shift, absolute waste of money. I also have a friend who's rubber button fell off of the same flashlight about a month ago.
@@CrpMag I can say I have had my LE 1+ for almost 6 months now and I love this flashlight! My streamlight barely lasted one shift, but the LE 1+ has lasted for almost three per charge. The holster is brilliant and the selective brightness level is fantastic! Very happy I ordered this light.
I am a volunteer firefighter and do Ems as well as being a reposessor I have carried a stream light for 15 years my first stinger is about 14 years old and still works like new I also have a stinger ds that’s about 9 years old I also have a sl20 flashlight by stream light in my truck best damm flashlight made hands down mine have never ever let me down.
Streamlight customer service is hit or miss. They have not been able to properly diagnose a problem with one of my stingers. This appears to be a common complaint with Streamlight, otherwise good flashlight.
nickel metal hydride batteries arn't made to be drained so its actually good to leave the flashlight on the charger, also the streamlight piggy back fast charge has reduced amps feature so it cant over charge the battery and stops when its full. also most tech has built in voltage regulators to prevent the problem of over charging and it reduces the amps accordingly
You are correct on many counts! NiMH batteries should not be completely discharged. We also have a piggy back charger for testing that appropriately reduces the charging load, so it would okay to leave a light on such a charger. However the "standard" Streamlight charger that came with our unit doesn't regulate, so users should know that they shouldn't leave it on that "standard" charger, or certain chargers that don't regulate current.
Every mechanic in my shop uses the stinger, myself included. Mechanics abuse these on a daily basis harder than any law enforcement could. We dont have a supple leather holster, we hurl the thing back at the toolbox, or have it fall off cars daily. Dropped it in buckets of coolant, oil diesel, you name it. They are *RUGGED*
I own this light and it is fantastic in many ways and for many situations. I’m curious why you did not include the Nightstick 9614XL’s performance in your graphs. It seems like that light may have beaten the LE-1 in total output. I believe your product is superior in many ways but it would have been nice to have a total picture of how it compares to the competition.
Maglite is where it's at quality lights still made in the USA! Maglite has made strides with their LED lights and their tactical lights. I would like to see another review with a Maglite ML150LRS in the lineup please and thank you!
I use a Streamlight SL-20x old but in my army unit I wanted a good light, got it for ten bucks at swap meet. Got a LUXPro 280 Lm led light too, $14.00 at Lowes. Lowes has many good lights, go check em out always have sales fi u don't want to spend 100 bux on a light.
I suggest you contact Tommy at Free Field Training and have him test out your light. I was pretty impressed with your demo, I’d like to see him test it and maybe advertise it to his rather large following base.
This is a tremendously helpful video. Excellent. Thank you for posting. I carry the Streamlight DS HL. Previously I carried the DS 350 for years specifically Unarmed Security duty at GH. I am looking forward to buying LE 1 plus
At forst, watching these comparions, i was excited about the flexibility of your tact.impluse le1+... That is until I went to ur website to buy it. The light does not come with a charger, really. I can see separately charging for accessories such as the traffic wand attachment, but the flashlight is useless without a charger... 140 for a flashlight, it should come with a charger. Not cool
Thanks for checking us out! We decided to offer a flashlight only option so customers with multiple LE-1 products, and/or customers with a quality 19650 charger won't be forced to pay the additional cost of a charger. A simple charger is available from us for only $9.99 when needed. HOWEVER, you can use the discount code 'ChargeMeUp' now through the end of Feb. to receive the external charger for free (just add the light and charger both to the cart)! Hope that helps!
On the run time tests, did you factor in that many lights intentionally do a thermal step-down ON PURPOSE? Or doesn't that figure into your sales pitch?
You hit the nail on the head, and it seems like you answered your own question... WE don't do an intentional step down, but can't say the same for many others. That's why looking at the total output is important, not just the lumen value on the box.
A low i.q. not through irrelevant question. I own many nitecore lights and a few others (olight etc) and love the nightcore brand. I'll check these guys out too.
Pelican, is very responsive. tactical button on the rear, and notice the pelican was the only light that prevented the other lights from from rolling away.
Sorry for the confusion! We tried to explain that we didn't consider lights that required separate buttons for ON/OFF and mode selection. With the exception of the Lawman, all the 2-switch lights in this video are capable of ON/OFF and mode selection from either one of the identically functioning switches.
i like your own product very much...it sound well built and material too and has very cool accessories but unfortunately we cant buy it out of US.but anyway i appreciate your great product
Wrong information relating to battery of NiMh vs Lithium. They both operate equally well at extreme heat and cold, NiMh does not have memory effect and you do not need to discharge cells. NiMh do have low self discharge chemistry in my cells. Voltage on NiMh is much more consistent then Lithium and don't show signs of "dying" with the light becoming more dim as you do with Lithium.
EMT. 8 years. Had crappy Streamlights which never charged in the trucks(the prongs would never line up right). I bought my own LE-1+ not long after I started working nights exclusively. You won't break it. It's very practical from working wrecks on the side of the road, to finding patients, to marking egress with the traffic cone. Speaking of, the add-ons aren't gimmicky. They hold up and look professional. Wouldn't buy another light. Don't recommend another light. If you need a light for work, don't hesitate.
I bought this flashlight and it cost me so much money and it didn’t come with what ever this guy is offering here in this video. The flashlight needs more lumens and needs to be a white light because it is yellow. The flashlight comes with very nice features but if I’m buying something that is expensive and it says that it comes with all this features I expect all this features.
If the flashlights are good for cops then they are good for us and when cops shine lights in our vehicles we can do the same to them. No special privilege for either Citizens need to be prepared for cops Good video on the flashlights though

Just got the LE1 plus it is a great light
Notice to flashlight makers: we don’t need strobe, sos, or tons of settings. Just give us a high and low. All of these flashlights are too expensive.
Ooooh ok, you are a flashlight company reviewing your flashlight against others, you will talk greatly about it of course
Why limit yourself to 1 switch. What if I want instant access to more than 1 mode?
To falsely limit the field to the typical ones and leave out the new (yet superior) to the market.
How is the warranty they ask all kinds of questions and try to disqualify you're light for repairs ? Or do they stand by the product like mag light
Things I care about, waterproof, power mode and low power consumption mode, lots of battery power, and most of all reliability!
Which one is the best for long range?
Great video, lots of good information! Thanks!
Whare can I buy the LE1?
Wow nice. I thought this was going to be an infomercial on a crappy light. I was wrong. What an amazing and well thought out design. I'm a believer
Is this available on Amazon? Can't seem to find it
Royal V. It’s on the website proper but you can check out with amazon.

HOW MANY HRS TO CHARGE MR. LIGHT
Do any of these lights have a traffic control wand attachment?
I k ow the stinger has one.
The Tactical Impulse attachment is much better.
I personally would prefer fenix tk20r v2
What kind of candela is your light putting out?
So are you guys still around? I’d like to buy one.

Yep. There's a video somewhere if it running underwater.

There are several different streamlight batteries.
why police dont want use c8 flashlight such as astrolux c8 or convoy c8... it more compact and have 1000+ lumens and throw of 500meter...
