Just got my XLT, with the 302a and 360 camera. Love it all. Also got the Co Pilot Assist 2. The ‘self driving’ feature is nuts! I did not know about the light switch in the bed, will have to check that out! I got the tailgate step as well, love that!
thanks for the video. I am getting tired of hearing so many new owners who just complain about all sorts of little things. but in fact, 99% of the "normal" owners are absolutely loving their trucks. BTW. you do not need to press the unlock on the fob. just walking up within 3-4 ft of the truck will turn on my welcome lights all around the truck. I don't have to do anything. and yes, a very useful thing. I got the 360 cameras for No Charge, as they are included in the Tow Technology Pkg. but yes, I am starting to like all the cameras and use them more than I thought I would.

This rapid red has grown on me though, I’m really liking it!! Just put some leather seats in last week.

I've got almost the same build you have. Love to drive it all the time. Almost nothing to complain about other then price. Would be nice to disable the honk when you close yhe door with the truck on. I mean I can hear it running when I get out lol.
I’m surprised you can see your bed view while driving. I’ve watched many videos where they said you couldn’t view the bed camera while driving saying that Ford said it was a safety issue. My XLT is being built the week of May 30. Looking forward to it.
I just got the. 2022 XLT 302A and like you, really like it a lot. After ordering a Raptor in early October of 2021, I finally gave up getting it after Ford continued to delay the build. Fortunately, my dealer had just gotten the XLT in and was prepping it in the shop. When they told me it was a XLT, I told them it wouldn’t have enough on it to check all of my boxes. Was I wrong…….it’s got the FX4 and Sport Packages and is loaded out as much as a XLT can be. The only thing I added was aftermarket leather seats, a spray-in bed liner, and a tonneau cover. And the only two things we wished it had is power folding mirrors and a light for the vanity mirror on the passenger’s side. Ford has done a nice job in upgrading the XLT.
Truck never had any engine issues, however, this truck locked up on the highway at 110km/hr and almost sent me off a mountain. The transmission failed.
Great video man, keep it up! I do want to say that I am in the market and looking for a truck and I'm just at a loss. So many people say that Ford trucks rust out because they are using different materials then previous years and are starting to rust within the first year of ownership. Also with all the electronics put into stuff like the shifter and things inside the truck, I've heard people having nightmare stories about stuff going out super early on. How do you feel this truck compares to something like a Toyota tundra. I've also heard so many people talk about how the tundras are so much more reliable than the f-150s in any other of the GM trucks on the market. Ram is in kind of its own little world but I find myself really looking at the tundra and the F-150. I want to hear from people who actually own these vehicles and don't have a brand bias.
Yeah its tough out there! I test drove all trucks the 5.0L specifically was my favorite by far. I got it undercoated with bees wax that will last 10yrs+ I recommend that forsure. Ford doesn't say it's an issue though. So far my truck has been great!!! Absolutely love it. Would do it all over again.
I just picked up my 2022 F150 rapid red June 22 [ no entre Console though] .........front cam works as long as you are under 10Km/hr........I also have to ask if you got the new Trailer back up Pro wiring harness.
Hey there good lookin’! I got a 2022 XLT 302a fully loaded coming with the 5.0 engine. Also paid for the trailer tow mirrors to have the included convex mirror. Just wish Ford would put the 4A 4X4 and heated steering but mine will stay in the garage so it shouldn’t be too bad. I’m also in the Calgary area. How’s the tone of the engine? Another option I paid for haha
When I ordered my 302A Powerboost they left off the adaptive cruise and lane centering. After 7 months of waiting, I went ahead and took it, but really wish I could have gotten it.
@@kevinrehbein7684 The dealer that gave me the best deal by far was 2 hours away. When I went to pick it up I noticed it was missing the "unleashed" stereo upgrade, adaptive cruise and the lane centering. They said "whoops, we must not have updated the order form." Being in the middle of COVID I took it. Our explorer has the adaptive cruise and I love it. We trade our cars every 4 years, so next time I will get it.

When I picked it up they were in a hurry to deliver it and get the paperwork signed. The sticker was $62k and I paid $54k out the door. This was during COVID, so I felt like it was a good deal considering our local dealer was hiking prices over MSRP.
Have the same truck on order in a Lariat. Production has been delayed four times. Same color, wheels and V8. How is the cylinder deactivation? I hear if you drive in Sport or Tow/Haul it stays in all eight all the time.
Oh wow I’ currently have a 2017 f150 5.0 with the 6 speed and I’ve had no issues. Currently have 63,000 miles on it. But I was looking to getting a 2023 XLT 5.0 but the transmission issues I’ve seen people have is holding me back.
@@DennisBarrera yeah...it was pretty extreme in my case. I got a 2023 Tremor with the 3.5 TT... and the truck is WAY better in the transmission department for whatever reason. Right from inception.

@DennisBarrera yeah alot have been speculating the 5.0 with the 10speed is what causes the issues.. maybe the instant torque and weight? Mustangs don't seem to have the issues at least that drastic.
Leather is over rated in my opinion. They get too hot in the summer and cold in winter (unless you let your truck heat up). They get "clammy" on longer road trips too. The fabric on the F150's is pretty nice. Looks like you didn't get the tailgate step, by choice? Its pretty handy but you have to buy the $695 bed utility package 🙄
The 5 L V-8 is not a good engine. The V6 TwinTurbo eco-boost is the better engine because it’s better on fuel and it has more torque which is quicker. I have on both F1 50s and tried both engines.

I just got my XLT FX4 Sport trim and i Love it. Took me 61 years to get such a high class truck.

Amazing how this truck can do well for a family and do well as an XL work truck without bells and whistles I don't need to spend money on.

Also the dealer said ford is waiting for parts so u can buy the center console flip /flat work space for like $110 once available

The body is made from aluminum so that will never rust.

It’s aluminum.. it doesn’t rust.. under coat your truck and you’ll be rust free!

I like all the tech. But that folding shifter. NO. Can do imagine the electric motor failing in the down position?

You don't even notice it to be honest. There are ways around it tho. But I just keep it stock and everything working for now.

I wish i would have gotten the 5.0 or the powerboost. I have the 3.5 liter (which is great, and powerful for sure, and has had no issues so far)
No regrets on the 5.0 so far.. at all. Love it.

Getting 16L/100kms at best in my 2021 V8....
Currently sitting at 12.4L/100 overall for the 2,400kms I have on it.
