- BEHIND THE DRUM & BASS: DJ JUMPIN JACK FROST TALKS ADDICTION
In this episode of Coming Clean With Me, addiction specialist Elliott Wald sits down with drum and bass DJ Jumpin Jack Frost for an unflinching conversation about addiction and recovery. Frost opens up about his challenging upbringing and how it fuelled his descent into drug use. He details the consequences this had on his personal and professional life, including strained relationships and setbacks in his DJ career.
But this is also a story of hope. Frost discusses the turning point that led him to get clean and the importance of surrounding himself with positive influences. He reflects on the role of impulsivity in his addiction and how he's learned to channel it productively. Through self-reflection and a commitment to a healthy routine, Frost has rebuilt his life. He offers powerful words of encouragement to anyone struggling with addiction, reminding them that recovery is possible and help is always available.
* How a difficult childhood can contribute to addiction
* The importance of seeking help and breaking free from negative influences
* How to manage impulsivity for a productive life
* The role of self-reflection and routine in overcoming addiction
* Why it's never too late to turn your life around
The rave scene without jumping jack frost just wouldn't have been the same . Original. Pivotal . Respect 🎉❤
Bless up Frost. Brutal and honest. Struggle with anxiety too bro.
Massive respect Frost, he’s been REAL and such an inspiration to many for years! When you’ve got an addictive personality it’s really hard to give it all up, he’s right you do have to push people away, it’s a hard and sad fact of life but to focus on you and getting yourself out of the rut that you dug, you need to have positive and supportive friends around you….Frost has changed big time, he’s looking good and you can tell feeling good…big up mate….Jekz
Takes a lot of courage to be happy, honest and humble

Woweee.....this was cool to see one of my heroes coming clean.
Glad you liked it!
I get exactly the same feelings of anxiety as nigel. One thing that has helped me tremendously is boxing. I believe boxing is essential for men of all ages. Not saying you have to train to fight but just training on the heavybag and doing all the core work really helps your mindset.
I still get my anxiety to this day though and it seems to creep more if i go out in busy places.
Night time can increase the anxiety too, when the mind starts drifting and overthinking everything.
Come on. Frosty in recovery!

Poor mental health exists when a person is at some point not living their good life . Its just an indication that a change is required . Dont be scared of it . Its just intelligence . Talk to people and try something different. You will be ok ❤

In to your 30s wow.
😂 its long
I’ve loved house and techno since 1988. But drum and base was absolutely shite.
What actually is the point of that comment ?
🐑
To actually think techno could be better than drum and bass means you must still be high
I thought he was doing in drugs. Just must have been shite
I know what you mean FROSTY m8 . Choose life in it. I'm 1n my 3rd year of recovery after a 25 year long drug addiction nightmare.🫡
Great work my friend
