Sinatra with tears in his eyes is exactly the emotion I feel when I watch this video.
Same
To have Frank Sinatra and Gene Kelly in the audience, that must have been one heck of a treat. You could tell Frank was touched and Gene was touched as well. What a special moment for those in the crowd.
Once in a lifetime 🌿
It was incredible, one of the greatest show, to have the greatest from one genre, singing the songs of the greatest from another genre too them, absolutely incredible and amazing
So sad that Pavarotti is not with us anymore, Yes they all will be remembered for there outstanding talent.
He is in your heart
Never will be a Pavarotti again. Angels in heaven bow down a such a voice
The presence of Sinatra is a gift for all.

If we only knew at the time just how truly unique this period of classical music was with these three brilliant masters. It will never happen again.

I am so glad that I have been blessed with these wonderful people and I cannot say what joy they have brought me❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So touching seeing Frank Sinatra' s expression of joy and pride. I love this performance. Four geniuses
This was at a time when Sinatra's health was declining rapidly, and he was basically unable to perform live due to dementia-like symptoms. It is very touching indeed to see him honored in this way.
I also love the expression on Domingo's face in the beginning. You can tell he is looking at Sinatra, and smiling. The three are visibly proud to sing this song for him.
Sinatra is an italian boy from New Jersey at last
Eu vivi pra ver isso ❤
There are unique moments that will never be repeated. Three of the best tenors in history singing My Way, with Frank Sinatra in the audience, The Voice, the singer who immortalized this song. And, even more, with the conductor of Zubin Mehta. Wonderful!
Definitely a big moment in modern opera history. Blessings and peace to all of us.
Marvellous indeed.

Agreed.. it's a thing of sheer beauty
Yes Carlos, this is wonderful, I'm always thrilled w/ singers of their caliber their voices are immortal & their moments will never be repeated. thanks to YT.
I love Pavarotti’s smile. He was always so happy.
Yes!
Every time when Pavarotti smiles, I tear up a little. Somewhere inside me, I wish to be born a little early..
Ich auch
he once said
to sing i´ve got to be happy
to be happy i´ve got to eat

He is too damn cute! Such vibrant energy. 😀
When Pavarotti sings i've got goosseboomps....
This is a good example how big Pavarotti ‘s voice actually was.
and you can feel he's at 60% top
Other singer's voices touch the ear, but Pavarotti's touches the heart ❤

Moonriver is forgotten, singers...sounds silly
👍👍
Agree!!! 😇❤😇
Ditto
It's touching how Carreras sings right to Sinatra, right from the start. As always, Carreras sings with intelligence, passion, and sincerity.
I am agree with you
And when you stop and think what José Carreras had gone through in the previous few years, that final "I did it my way", sounds both heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time.
Love His voice in “My Way” !

Frank had tears in his eyes (me too). What a great honor for this great artist. A once in a lifetime moment.
it's so emotional and blessing to see that Frank Sinatra heard this song covered by three of the best opera tenors.
Three of the greatest
Pretty sure the blessing was Frank Sinatra's. Upon hearing Luciano sing for the first time his exact words were oh my god what the fk was that?!!! He had massive love and respect for Luciano Pavarotti

I was SO LUCKY to be in Pavarotti and Domingo's concert. Sir Pavarotti has the most powerful voices. Sir Domingo"s a great shape in 70's and great performances. God bless all of you.
You were very lucky
🙏🏼❤️♾️
How has this only got 567k viewings? That's three of the finest voices singing some of the best songs ever written. And Frank is in the audience giving them a standing ovation. It can't get any better!
They are the best of the bests before A. Bocelli’n

The few people who succeeded to follow their own way, with few regrets, should be proud.
Luciano Pavarotti, the best opera singer ever!
There's no such thing as "the best". Each one has a different strength. Domingo has the richest voice ever. It's like chocolate cake. Pavarotti had the sexiest voice color for sure, pure beauty in the high registry. But the list is huge. There's not one single best of all. Pavarotti sure was the one who made many of us find our way into opera, but after him, you just find more and more names.
@@palonazo great point♥️
It's true, lets just say that he is ONE of the greatest tenors😉
@palonero actually, you are right 👍🏻

The passion in Pavarotti’s eyes at 7:18 is enough for anyone to fall in love with the tenors
The presence of Gene Kelly is a very nice surprise. I remember that dance in a very heavy rain.
Im pretty sure that it was Sinatra and not Kelly who was there

Beautiful! How I miss the great Luciano Pavarotti. He remains my favorite.
Same here. I miss him so much. It’s all very bittersweet.

What a beautiful moment.
Here are some of the films in which these songs were sung:
1. "Because" - "Three Smart Girls Grow Up" (1939); "The Great Caruso" (1951)
2. "Moon River" - "Breakfast at Tiffany's" (1961)
3. "Singing in the Rain" - "The Hollywood Revue of 1929"; "Little Nellie Kelly" (1940); "Singing in the Rain" (1952)
4. "My Way" - a tribute to Frank Sinatra, who starred in many films.
Grandioso ,sono senza parole.
The kingsman, the golden circle
'Because' was also sung in 'Steel Magnolias' (1989) in the Wedding Scene the verse 'Because God Made Thee Mine, I'll Cherish Thee' which José Carreras starts off singing here. That's the only time I've heard it in a film.
Just amazingly beautiful. The 3 Tenors what voices they have, it sends the chills down my body. Lovely to see Frank Sinatra and Gene Kelly appreciate their songs being sung by the Masters.
Yes it really was wonderful to see Frank and Gene there.
To have the original performers of the songs in tears is very hard to do. So perfect I can’t even put it into words.
No idea what you mean but I live Pavarotti 💚💚💚💚💚

Wow. It just makes your heart happy to hear such amazing voices. This is a definite time that has sadly passed away. It is great that these videos are immortalised for anyone to listen to.
This is singing, in time and chord with the music. Not speaking a whole load of gibberish to the sound of someone torturing a vinyl album.

@@Reigne30 or Pearson or Carter, he was a pretender to the throne. He cannot be compared to Mario Lanza or Jerry Hadley. Each had a greatness in their tenor voice that Pavoratti could not match!
@@robertcentobene4375 You have every right to your opinion, be it to agree or disagree. A lot of us are die hard Pavarotti followers.
I will state though that your words" pretender to the throne" are Logically and metaphorically incorrect. There can be no throne for a king of Tenor(dom) Furthermore Pavarotti never claimed he was the best , which is the closest towards aspirations of self proclaimed king of tenors.
If you must lambast Pavarotti, do it to us the fans who are so in love with him. We like what we like, and love of music is so very subjective. Please, let us honor all our idols and loves by trying to stick to some facts.
