Why do SO MANY well known celebrities get this type of cancer? What is it about that lifestyle that contributes to it? Too much sugar, perhaps, putting too great a strain on the pancreas? I also love the expression on Domingo's face in the beginning. You can tell he is looking at Sinatra, and smiling. The three are visibly proud to sing this song for him.
I've never been a fan of opera, but the last few months, oh, Lord, it touches the very soul and heart and takes you on a journey through Heaven. Gotta love opera if you wanna live the moment. ❤

And when you stop and think what José Carreras had gone through in the previous few years, that final "I did it my way", sounds both heartbreaking and inspiring at the same time.
I come back here every so often to listen to this amazing performance again. I cannot hold back the tears listening to these three. My father and mother now gone loved classical music and especially these guys. They were fortunate enough to have attended their concerts a few times back in the day. As a kid I can remember the many great classical performances thundering from my father's stereo system in the house. When I listen to this performance so many great 60+ years of memories come flooding back of both happiness and sadness. Happiness that they experienced and loved this music in their time. Sadness that those two people that I loved so much and meant so much to me are gone. After my mother was the last to die, a friend said to me at that time of great sadness, he said "Cherish the Memories". I've never forgotten that simple but very powerful point. So, one of my ways to cherish the memories is to return here and listen to this and other classical performances that I know mom and dad loved.
Absolutely love listening to these guys! This melody is lots of fun in English with their talented voices and accents! But although I don’t understand a word anything they sing in Italian is much more powerful!
