    I bought one of these in 50 foot length. After fighting kinky “wonder hoses” for years I have finally found an outstanding product. Look no further. This is the real deal. Extremely easy to handle, water on or off. Excellent pressure. NO KINKING… NO B.S.!

    They tell you to stretch out the host first and hold for 1min BEFORE using as it encourages the reinforced latex tube to create expansion memory for optimal performance.

    It leaked in a year. This is good for lawns that do not have to go through bushes. Might be good for watering lawn with not much gardening. Retraction happens only when there are no obstacles, which doesn’t happen in a garden.

    I currently have this. I used it probably between 10-20 times during spring and summer in the last two years and this year i started noticing more leaks in the hose. turns out the fabric is not durable - at all. it was an amazing hose, i love the nozzle and the off-valve. but i need something more durable for power washing and sprinklers. I may go back to rubber hoses...

    Bought a 100 ft silver bullet hose.
    1 - Does not expand to 100 feet and
    2 - it takes a large amount of force necessary to take it even halfway. I can go to the end of my garden with my ordinary 100 ft hose. In order to get this halfway there, I had to put a constant pressure on the hose and REALLY pull it! I bought it because of a heart condition and I'm looking for easier ways to do my gardening and still enjoy it. I CANNOT pull it that far for very long.
    3 - The amount of water allowed through the hose is minimal. To even get it to stop trickling out of the connection, I had to put it on hard spray and even then I could only water by getting up close to my plants. Unhooking the hose showed that my water pressure was fine, it just would not come through the hose.
    4 - It does not "expand" into a hose.
    At the price point I paid, I expect it to do "as advertised". It definitely does not and I want my money back. I'll take the time to roll my regular hose in and out and spend the extra on a wall-hung roller.
    Adding this review to as many sites as I can find. Tired of crappy misleading products.

      I agree I purchased the silver bullet thinking it would work like it says but just like everything else that comes out now it’s gimmicky garbage it got a hole in it after about a week and it was awkward as hell to use just stick to the good ole fashioned hose

    I have this same exact 100' expandable hose and love it. Ive had enough of buying the cheap so-called ranch hose kink resistant [big lie] worst kinking hose I ever had, trashed it. The expandable has the brass shutoff at the end of hose for changing adaptors when needed and you dont have to shut faucet off and release pressure first. Previously though I had added a quick connect at my faucet because of all the corrision causing me problems unscrewing from faucet . With the quick connect that problem is eliminated. Hopefully the expandable will last longer than expected, but at least no kinks and they give you the little hanger and I just put it over my faucet and the 100' hose becomes almost weight less when water is out of it. I needed the 100' length since I only have 1 outside faucet and I need the length to reach the garden area or/and car wash and other duties.

    I like my 25 ft one for my garden! I just ordered it but how it mounts to the wall was wonky, I guess bc we have stucco & cannot drill holes in it so it is hanging loose on the handle like yours..not the most secure but it works great otherwise..will have to figure a way to have it coil on the wall securely for aesthetic reasons

    These are light duty hoses. They're great when you have a small task that you don't want to unwind/rewind a rubber or vinyl hose for. With care they should last a few years. No guarantee on that, though.

    I have this, when I want to water the lawn with it, the water is off so it's at it's shortest. So, if I drag it out to the front yard it's at it's shortest & isn't long enough ... when I turn the water on it expands. At that point if I want to move the sprinkler I get soaking wet. I have 2 of them linked together. I guess the only solution is to buy more or them?

    • @emiliotorres4640
      @emiliotorres4640 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Try turning on the water and walking to the sprinkler, once there turn the valve located on the hose off and connect it to your sprinkler. You might have to be quick because it will start to shrink again.

      I am having this same issue with my sprinkler grrrrr!!!!! Have you found any solutions for this? I'm thinking to return the hose because it's only 50ft expandable when attached to the sprayer head! Any other time, it doesn't even expand!

    the connectors ARE NOT BRASS. The world BRASs does not occur in the description. they are anodized aluminum colored to appear brass and unless you use a damn good anti-seize on them they will weld themselves to all steel hose bibs.
    This is NOT research.

    Look at the thumbnail...a complete rookie mistake. NEVER wrap an expandable hose that tightly around the holder. As it continues to shrink, it will damage the interior structure of the hose. Large, loose loops are the way to go. Learned this the hard way.

    I'm shopping for a new hose and these new expandable hoses look very inconvenient. Is it true that every time you want to use it, you must let it expand to full length and then retract it again when you're done? That'd be a huge waste of time if you simply want to fill a water jug or spray plants close to where the hose begins. Is it viable to leave the expandable hose at full length with water in it so you can leave it on a reel caddy like a normal hose? Thanks.

    • @smitastic7030
      @smitastic7030 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They expand pretty quickly. Put a splitter in so you can fill a bucket separately. They are the best hose because they are light and compact. Downside is they will pop and leak within 2 years. So I buy the shortest size and link them together and keep my receipt when one of them breaks I exchange it.

    You obviously didn't test it over time to see how long it takes to leak, so I clicked on the link to Amazon and read the reviews. This one start review is typical of what you'll find there:
    1.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't last. Went through 4 hoses and the all lasted just a couple of months.
    Reviewed in the United States on August 16, 2022

    I started my journey with Gardguard in June 2021. Bought 2 hoses. By August, one had sprung a leak. They sent a replacement. All fine through fall, and I stored them for winter. Fast forward to spring 2022. BOTH hoses have leaks and both nozzles are also broken. One nozzle split in half when I tried to use it for the first time. Reached out to Gardguard, they said there is a 1 year warranty. I asked for a refund, since clearly this product isn't durable. They said no refund, but they finally sent me one replacement hose in June. We've had a pretty wet summer, so I haven't needed to use the hose as much. Over the weekend, the replacement hose is now unusable due to leaks and the nozzle is also severely leaking. I reached out to Gardguard AGAIN, and they are telling me that I have exceeded the warranty period. I have had this hose less than 2 months. Seriously, their communication says I have exceeded their 1 year warranty period! I really wanted to love this item and I did initially. It's just not durable and the company will not stand by its product. I will be reaching out to Amazon customer service to advise them about their seller.
