    Just as an update to this video, it appears as if GrowGreen has stopped selling these or gone out of business altogether. Additionally, according to the BBB, they are NOT honoring their lifetime warranty claims. Needless to say, I'll be searching for other choices.

      I've wasted an hour just today looking at hoses and reviews on Amazon. They all bubble and burst just over 30 days .
      It's why I searched here ans was going to click the link for the grow green. Even google found it no where to be seen. So frustrating and expensive if you have to replace it after 30 days use with no refunds from Amazon

    I love how when you click the links to the reviews, the actual user reviews are terrible.

    I really appreciate your review. How long did you test the hoses for ? Many reviewers on Amazon say things like “I loved the hose until it leaked 3 months after purchasing it” Some sort of test for durability would be helpful.

    • @MomCanFixIt
      @MomCanFixIt  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Before I made the video, I only tested them for a few weeks but I've been using all of them for a year now. None of them have broken yet! Of course, since I have so many they don't all get used that much. 😂

      @@MomCanFixIt Thank you for replying ! Good to know that you continue to use all of them and how well they have held up - even as each individual one doesn’t get used much they still held up over time.

    I have the x hose pro and have had it for about three years. I love it. It popped open in two places today. I wish it had lasted longer but the real test of these is when they’re going to break maybe you should keep using them and testing them and see which one last the longest, I’m in Florida, so the sun is extremely hard on the hose so it broke after three years
    I don’t know of a fabric hose that lasts longer than three years in hot Florida sun so this may be the best one??

    Unbeknownst to me, my tenent had replaced my worn out standard garden hose with one similar to the above. I had just consumed some magic mushrooms and proceeded to water my Palms trees & Banana plants. Holy cowboy, what a trip that was watching this living, breathing, expanding garden hose do it's thing. I did not know if it was the shrooms, or the garden hose, but indeed it was both,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,I think?
    On a side note, I am loving this thing. Lightweght & no kinks. Great vidio by the way, thanks from The West Coast, BC Canada.

    Yes, great review. It feels practical, objective and informative. Presenting a clear winner is a great bonus. I recently started looking at reviews of the GrowGreen hoses and I'm seeing mixed reviews. That was unexpected after watching your video. I also don't see the GrowGreen hoses included in many of the expandable hose reviews out there. That's give me some doubt about the hoses -- which is in conflict with how confident I felt about the GreenGrow hoses after watching your video.
    Question: Now that it's been about a year after your review video, do you still think the GreenGrow hoses are your first choice? Would you still highly recommend them?

    2.3 gallons in 30 seconds works out to 4.6 gallons per minute (GPM). GPM is the standard unit of measure for flow. These hoses don't flow as well due to their rough interior surfaces, which also reduces water pressure.

    I purchased the TBI PRO hose from Amazon. It lasted just under three years of use - watering the lawn and plants. It was stored inside during winter, and was drained after every use to relieve any water pressure. Nonetheless, it developed two holes about 12 inches from the outlet end. I wrote to the manufacturer, but received no response. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and found that the manufacturer has lots of complaints. I'll be looking for a replacement, but NOT from TBI PRO.

    Hello young lady,I am 74yrs old and regular hoses are very hard for me to lug around anymore long story. Unfortunately I have bought the Bulb head 100ft pocket hose. So far okay but haven't been using it much. Now for my question. After use it should be drained and put it in a flower pot etc. And keep it out of the sun etc. Oh,I forgot you should never try to stretch it so far that you have to PULL it so far that you could use it to hang a net on it for Volleyball!! I say no and my wife of 53yrs says yes!! Please break the tie. Thanks and GOD BLESS. Sorry for the verrrry long comment. 😍😁

    Dear (oh, so young!) Mom, I watched several "expert" Home Imp. guys talk about these hoses... and didn't ever get much help or consensus! Yours was refreshingly straightforward. How Long are the hoses? (well, THAT's important !) Will their exterior fabric hold up? (duh!!!). How far do they "squirt" ??!! (well... yeah, I'd like to know that!!) So, Thank You for your report! I'm ordering your recommendation today! One Happy Boomer.
    (Update 1 mo. later): So far... this has been the Best Exp. hose...evvah !! I've been super careful handling it, not pulling hard on either hose end. But it stretches waay farther than I expected, does NOT kink, and I have the enjoyment of solid brass end fittings. Will be checking in again as needed. Note: whoEVER thot a Guy homeowner in his 7th decade would be soliciting the advice of a young Mom for around-the-house DIY stuff. Well. It's happened folks !! But, no.... I'm not Bragging about it to the Boys!!! Not crazy, you know. ; >

    Can I turn on/off the water at the hose end rather than the faucet on the wall? I tried one of the expandable hoses too, but that valve on the hose can only temporarily turn off the water, the water is still running inside. I asked because the faucet I have on my patio is really hard to reach, and I have to get down to the bottom of my raised plant bed and reach it.🥲

    • @MomCanFixIt
      @MomCanFixIt  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      On some of them you can but you can't leave them like that because of the pressure in the hose. You have to let that pressure off or it's going to blow up eventually.
