Angelus Paint is not recommended for use on the very bottoms of shoes as the paint will wear away as soon as you start walking in them. Angelus Paint also works great on certain Soft Midsoles (Jordan 3's, Jordan 4's), and will not hold up on hard midsoles (Converse, Vans, Jordan 1's, Air Force 1's, etc). We want you to have the best experience possible with realistic goals.
These some heat. Hey anyone have any recommendations on how to paint on rubber, got these new pair of slides and am kinda new to painting shoes so anybody got any tips?
th-cam.com/video/NWtm6FEkqCA/w-d-xo.html In this video I painted on the midsole of a Nike Blazer and the paint held up. Just make sure it isn’t on a part that will crease.

Great story! Thank you for sharing. We're also glad that many people are starting to gain interested in sneakers as well. We also understand that many people are not able to land the most coveted shoes with the recent resellers market. We hope to allow artists and sneakerheads to be able to create their own custom colorway or even replicate a colorway they might've missed. All the best!

Yes. The finishers are merely to leave a SHEEN. The 4-Coat will provide a sealant. The finishers are also water based as opposed to the urethane base of the 4-Coat.
Hey great video, wanted to ask please, see when you say dabbing around the edges to avoid bleeding, if anyone can elaborate please will be grateful. I'm assuming he means 'poking motion' with the tip of the brush.. Thanks
Enzo means that he will be dabbing his brush around the Jordan logo to avoid paint bleeding. Basically, so none of the black gets on the orange logo. Hope this helps
Hey I painted 4 coats of flat black onto a white swoosh and it came out dark grey and more glossy than the other leather on the sneaker. How would I get a more factory black and should hitting it with the matte finisher fix the gloss problem? Thanks
would the painted sock liner eventually fade or will the paint rub off onto socks while wearing them? Been hesitant to paint sock liners even though I have what I need
hola, tengo una duda, puedo combinar diferentes tintes de gamuza para obtener otro color, y lo mas importante puedo hacer menos opaco este color y que puedo usar para hacerlo, saludos chicos.
Naturally, our dyes are very thin to begin with. So you will only get one color from it after it is all said and done. You can absolutely mix the dyes to get a preferred hue, but once applied you wipe it off with alcohol and it will mix with the color that is under it. For example, if you try to use red dye on top of a yellow base, it will turn orange. If you have any further questions, please feel free to email us info@angelusdirect.com We also have Spanish speaking associates that can assist you.
Hey I’m just about to do my own custom lows, I’ve got angelus acrylic leather paint, can I still paint the front n back bits of the shoe. I don’t know the name of the material, or do I have to mix it with something
This always depends what color you are using. Some colors may require more coats than usual. It's always personal preference. Dry times depends if you are using a heat gun or hair dryer or not, but if not 48-72 hours after the final coat.
@@bertramhawk8643 Again, this is always upon personal preference. Takes as many coats as you like until you are satisfied. There is no way of giving you that definite answer.
You would only use this in cases such as shown. Keep in mind if you use too much, you will compromise the flexibility of the paint. What is shown here will not affect much.

Maybe it’s just me, but on the glass, I would’ve used satin or gloss finish for contrast instead of matte all over. I think it would’ve given it a different dimension of detail. But overall, this is a dope custom!
All finishers will have a sheen to them. We just call it matte because it is the lowest shine of the 4. If you feel like you need to completely make it flat add a few drops of duller. angelusdirect.com/collections/customize-sneakers/products/duller
Angelus is the ish. All the shoe restoration dudes on TH-cam use that paint. That's dope 😎
The shattered glass effect really set this one off. 🔥
It does!
Thanks for everything Angelus!!

why direct does not have shipments to Mexico? . I want to buy the paints and I can't do it
Issues with Customs, but check out our distributor in Mexico: sneakerart.mx/
This is clean... very clean!
I can watch these videos all day! I gotta try that soon
You should!
And what if I want to paint on canvas? Converse shoes? Thank you for your presentation!
Completely doable! You would need to use the additive 2-Soft. Email us for more instruction at info@angelusdirect.com
Great job! Does anyone have any idea about how to paint the midsole of Jordans 1's without cracking? I'm planning to wear 'em.
Don’t do it. It won’t hold up no matter what

You mean restore an worn out shoe then custom it tutorial?
@@AngelusBrand yes please I would love a tutorial on that

Can I use this collectors edition paint to restore a pair of shattered backboards? Or should I mix paints?
The Shattered Orange is a very close match to the orange on the Shattered Backboards. The paint may be an exact match.
Literally did my own custom with your paints and it came looking 🔥
These some heat. Hey anyone have any recommendations on how to paint on rubber, got these new pair of slides and am kinda new to painting shoes so anybody got any tips?
We suggest not painting on anything like a sole/midsole of a slide. The paint will just chip and crack right off.

Which orange would you consider to paint the heel of the AJ1 Electro orange ?? Many thanks 🙏🏻
Try a 70/30 mix of our Collector's Edition Shattered Backboard and Buttercup!
Would you be able to mix paint , 2soft , duller , matte , all together?
No sir, You can mix paint/2-soft then add some duller or you can add duller to the matte finisher. You should not mix them all together.

What's your opinion on doing this on a all black shoe?
It would turn out a bit darker but still look great. Some people prefer the darker tones.
You should try this with the OG neutral grey Jordan one low
Good idea!
Hey I painted 4 coats of flat black onto a white swoosh and it came out dark grey and more glossy than the other leather on the sneaker. How would I get a more factory black and should hitting it with the matte finisher fix the gloss problem? Thanks
Kinda curious if it washes with water?
As long as all the basic steps of preparation are done properly. You should be able to clean any of your customs 💯
What is 2 - Soft for, is it necessary for painting the tongue?
2-soft is mandatory when working with fabrics such as the tongue or inner sock liner.
would the painted sock liner eventually fade or will the paint rub off onto socks while wearing them? Been hesitant to paint sock liners even though I have what I need
As long as it is completely dry and you make sure you use all the necessary products it will not rub off or fade.

should i mix a bit of 2 soft into the paint for the parts that crease on the shoe?
