    I have been looking for a new bike in this new style of bike. I have been riding an 09 SV650sf and though I love the bike, its always been too small for me. At 190lbs and 6'2, Its a bit cramped.
    I also plan on starting to ride more 2up. So far I have been debating this or even the new Kawi Versys 1000lt.I want a street bike since I don't ever plan on doing offroad, especially with a passenger. The Caponord has always been an interest because of the V-Twin. Awesome sound and torque.

    After I ride mine for

    Nice review. I've had one for 4 years and love it, still. For me it's a great sport tourer, sporty yet comfy enough for travelling. I don't see the point of the riding modes other than S. My semi active suspensions are awesome. Only problem for me if the battery dying when not used enough. None of my previous bikes did the same.

    Cool bike man.The clutch/brake fluid issue is very common with ducatis as well.On my 796 clutch/front-back brake fluid turns black.Its from the heat,the lines are close to engine/headers.

      @adamweryszko7538 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Have the same thing with my Tuono Gen 1. This is as far as I know connected to the NBR rubber sealing which colours the fluid. It is not an issue though. You do not have to replace it.

    Good review. I just purchased a 2nd Capa 1200, '14 model. Collecting this week. On the test ride I fell in love with the exhaust note, torque, great riding position, seat comfort to name a few positives... on the negative was the long hand reach required for both levers and stiffness of clutch lever - ill resolve with after mkt levers. I noticed a fair bit of engine heat too- legs.
    But having come from a V Storm 650 DLA, the Capa is just what I wanted with a great 2nd hand price point. I nearly spent the 5k more to get the Ducati Multi. Time will tell if I made the wrong decision.
    Thanks again for the video post. Safe riding.

    As a new capo 1200 owner and 6'2", I'm wondering how your riding stance is as I find myself hunched over, since the rider seat is not long enough (the passenger seat gets in the way). Did you change the seat, sit upright all the time or... any advice on how you get 6'6" comfortable for 9k+ miles would be appreciated

    • @ReignsRides
      @ReignsRides  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Alex Rusgo I mostly ride sitting straight up unless I’m in the twisties. I did notice the rear seat problem but as far as I can find no one is making a good aftermarket seat option. I would like to see an option for a flatter seat that goes back a little further for now I’ve just adapted my riding to it

    At the end of the video in the couple of turns you were struggling with a trajectory? Were you not leaning enough or the bike is too heavy and lazy to tip in the corner?

    • @ReignsRides
      @ReignsRides  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Cyber Gasty Mostly it was me not turning in enough and misjudgment of the corner. After I switched to a 190/55 rear tire the bike has been much easier to ride now.

    How it going man!? Love your videos I have seen and love the bike. I just figured out how to turn the traction control off on my 15 Caponord like yours this evening in hopes of getting the balls to try wheeling it lol. Any tips on how you wheelie it? I know it’s a heavy beast and I don’t want to give it too much throttle trying to get it up and end up looping it.

    • @ReignsRides
      @ReignsRides  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Apologies for the delayed response I was away for a while. Thank you for subscribing and the kind words. Start small and always cover the rear brake. get into 1st gear around 5K RPM and crack open the throttle. This will get you used to the instant acceleration. Then if the wheel comes up hit the rear brake to bring it down to build the muscle memory that you can always bring the wheel down that way. Eventually once you get used to it I usually did clutch ups in 2nd gear. it is a heavy bike so you have to give it a lot of throttle before you dump the clutch. I liked to time it all together by rolling off throttle to load the front forks then pop the clutch to get the bike to come up.

    I'm going to look at an unsold 2015 travel pack at a dealer today. It's heavily discounted and the last one in stock. I regularly ride with a pillion and luggage, do you think the bike is suitable for this? Thanks for the vid!

    • @ReignsRides
      @ReignsRides  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rob Howarth the bike is perfect for 2 up riding my wife and I do it all the time. I'm 6'6 and she still has plenty of room on the back also the suspension is fully adjusted at the press of a button to match the amount of weight on the bike along with 3 power modes for the different situations. Hit me up with an email @ cprides7712@gmail.com

    • @ReignsRides
      @ReignsRides  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Rob Howarth also beware of the service costs I'm running in to that problem right now as in order to not void the warranty I have to have the dealer do the work. My 12000 mile service is quoted to cost $1400. I'd do the work myself but having the warranty keeps the warm and fuzzy on a bike that all the parts have to come from Italy

      @plszuts 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not a big fan of wheelies :) but it's good to see that someone with that height rides this bike and finds it comfortable. I'm also around 6'5 and was concerned about the comfort. Also in the process of purchasing a demo one with travel pack. The scenery looks like in Croatia. :)

    • @ReignsRides
      @ReignsRides  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Scott Bergley yea I've had it happen a couple of times. My theory is that since the bike is tuned to run very lean to meet euro emissions it may just not get enough fuel on when engine braking. At least in my case that's when it's happened was when I was decelerating down first gear with just engine braking. Hopefully that's all it is anyways thanks for checking out the video

    • @erreew6221
      @erreew6221 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That makes sense, thanks for the quick response! I'm about ready to get new tires, are the angel brand you put on yours expensive? Hate to bug you with technical stuff, but does your capo emit white smoke from the tail pipe when its cold?

    • @ReignsRides
      @ReignsRides  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Scott Bergley I would make sure to get 190 profile tires and the ones I bought are pirelli Angel GT. They are a duel compound tire making the hard in the middle and soft on the edges. Because #Pirelli they are a little pricey but the price can very depending on where you get them. And the white smoke is normal when cold. Oh and I don't mind the questions I can talk bikes all day lol. It's something I'm extremely passionate about

    • @erreew6221
      @erreew6221 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I will definitely take a look at those pirelli. Do you know the general range on those tires? A friend of mine wanted me to take a look at the shinko tires, which only have a range of about 4k. They seemed a little cheap to me though. He rides a speed triple and i thought the need for his tires would be different from mine.
