power wheelies on these bikes in 1st gear can be too much and not sure if your ealier model has DWC like my DVT has but mine will power up very nicely in 2nd 😉
No there isn’t DWC on this gen Multi. Since posting this I read a lot into clutch ups and how bad they are on Ducati clutches. Not built like a Yamaha or something where you can dump the clutch all day and be just fine. I think I’ll stick to the power wheelies. I’ll have to try some 2nd gear ones for sure. I still think ot is very capable offroad though as it has a significant weight advantage from other advebture bikes, it is much lighter

I agree! Thanks for watching. I am having audio issues with my new helmet trying to work out the Mic Placement. I should be getting back on the bike soon. Weather is almost back to riding season here in Virginia. Maybe I’ll do a wheelie practice video on the multi

I wish I would have. I ended up not keeping that bike for long. I had got it for my wife to learn on. She went down at low speed and decided she was happy being a passenger. I was gonna keep it for doing shenanigans but a friend totaled his bike and needed one so I sold it to him cheap.
I think is an a great motorcycle.
I really loved it while I had it. I honestly regret selling it.
@@ReignsRides I have another Aprilia motorcycle, Shiver, it’s from 2012 and I never had a problem. The problem of Aprilia are the Italian people that they doesn’t have understand these motorcycles.
@@francescoalbertosi2241 I always wanted to try a shiver. I am just too tall being 6’6. Those bike just don’t fit me, it’s why I’ve always loved adventure style bikes or sport touring

Hey, appreciate you checking the videos out. I loved my Caponord! I honestly regret letting it go in a lot of ways. It was such a comfortable bike with plenty of power for most riders. I never had any major issues with the bike except a bad starter Solenoid at around 15K miles that’s was replaced under warranty. I would highly recommend them to anyone. The reason I got rid of it is at the time I wanted to do off-road riding and that was a weak point for the Capo. And now instead of getting one for a road bike I got the Ducati as I wanted something a bit faster since I plan to do some track riding in the future. I had the Capo ETV 1000, previous model, and it is a FANTASTIC bike. I have an Africa Twin right now, but the Capo was the one I should have not let go.
I agree the Capo was fantastic. Sad to see they discontinued them. Excited about my new Italian twin I just picked up a Multistrada

@@ReignsRidesreally? even in first you have to clutch it. I went down teeth on sprocket and that mf wants to lift off even in second if I let it
How it going man!? Love your videos I have seen and love the bike. I just figured out how to turn the traction control off on my 15 Caponord like yours this evening in hopes of getting the balls to try wheeling it lol. Any tips on how you wheelie it? I know it’s a heavy beast and I don’t want to give it too much throttle trying to get it up and end up looping it.
Apologies for the delayed response I was away for a while. Thank you for subscribing and the kind words. Start small and always cover the rear brake. get into 1st gear around 5K RPM and crack open the throttle. This will get you used to the instant acceleration. Then if the wheel comes up hit the rear brake to bring it down to build the muscle memory that you can always bring the wheel down that way. Eventually once you get used to it I usually did clutch ups in 2nd gear. it is a heavy bike so you have to give it a lot of throttle before you dump the clutch. I liked to time it all together by rolling off throttle to load the front forks then pop the clutch to get the bike to come up.

I'm checking to trade my vstrom 1000 XT for the caponord rally ... thoughts?
Depends on your riding. I think the V-Strom would be better offroad. The Capo is more of a road touring bike even the rally edition. Not enough ground clearance offroad and the suspension is pretty soft.
Watching you ride makes me nervous. Not exactly the best at picking your lines. Nice bike though

How would you say that exhaust with the baffle installed compares to the stock exhaust at highway speed?
About the same as stock although i never rode with the baffle in. It mostly changes the tone not the decibel level with the baffle in.
What are you using to mount the speedometer?? Bought one of these a few months ago and the mount the previous owner used is dinky and loose
Wish I had a better answer for you but all I did was a little zip tie magic lol. Hope you find something that works. I liked this bike while I had it.
What I really want to know is if it's good for a long trip, all day riding, day after day, comfortwise? Also, how tall are you?
I am 6ft 6in tall and found it to be the most comfortable bike I ever owned. The longest ride I did on it was only 6 hours but I was comfortable the whole time no sore spots or feeling that my legs were cramped.

The handlebars are swept back because the bike originally had top fairing and if you had straighter bars then your arms would hit your mirrors when in a tight turn.. i fitted renthals on mine and within the first 2 miles i turned round and came home and took them off.. i even got rid of my FZ6s and traded it in for an FZ6n. and put renthal 758 bars on.. now it looks mean and alot cooler than having that crappy top weighted fairing on

Yes or you will have a constant warning light as the servo will not be functioning properly

I got 2012 FZ6R also! Man when your up shift in to 2gears just with foot (NO clutch) that how i keep up! & you no about back break already! Now your old bike looks likE mine FZ09! See this 2016 so sure dont have this bike any more.

Nice review. I've had one for 4 years and love it, still. For me it's a great sport tourer, sporty yet comfy enough for travelling. I don't see the point of the riding modes other than S. My semi active suspensions are awesome. Only problem for me if the battery dying when not used enough. None of my previous bikes did the same.
Only Yuasa batteries for Italian V-engine motorbikes, trust me
Please Which model year is this fz6n? Is it an under 2006 or a S1 version?
This isn’t a FZ6N. It began as a FZ6 then was crashed by the prior owner so I stripped the fairings and mounted the headlight to the forks along with relocation of the dash
just picked up a Used 2015 to tour with my Dad on his gold wing. Put close to 400 miles on it the other day and I am loving the bike. My gas gauge was bad at purchase and they changed the oil and fixed the gauge. Heading out to the Ozarks in a few from Mi figure we will be putting on close to 3000 miles ish in 7 days
