    Thanks for the video. I have shot the Hyde for 2 seasons and I am blown away by it's performance; both flight and devastating penetration. My first animal with the Hyde was an AZ elk in late season 2021. He was slightly quartering away standing broadside at 64 yards wondering what I was. I aimed for the far shoulder and the Hyde pierced both lungs but even more impressive it completely blew thru the left front leg bone, shattering it as it went thru and ended up sticking in a clump of brush. Needless to say the elk didn't go but a few yards. BTW, he is big and estimated to be 8-9 years old. The 2nd elk was in CO last Sept. I called the same bull in twice. The first time I couldn't get a shot and he decided to head out but I called him back in. This was a chip shot at 35 yards thru both lungs and the opposite side. He went about 30 yards. Then in Nov 2022 I was hunting whitetails in Alberta from a tree stand. I rattled a 160 class buck in and he went past my stand slightly quartering away. I shot thru the left lung, it clipped the heart and shattered the right front leg bone and stuck into the frozen ground to where I had to work to get it out of the ground. I know all the issues about using fixed versus mechanicals on elk and other game. I too was anti-mechanical. But...the proof is in the pudding as they say. I would challenge anyone with a fixed blade broadhead to show better results. Not going to happen as nothing could do better. I shoot 64 pounds with 500 grains and an FOC of 17.2%. These broadheads are just awesome. Again, thanks for the video.

      You blew through elk shoulders with the Hyde? Or the Jekyll?

    Heck yeah Josh. Those are some super consistent and accurate broadheads that you are using.
    I was going to order some Hyde’s for turkey 🦃 season and use them on deer 🦌 too, but right now I was sighted in with 100 grain heads and I prefer steel for durability so I went with some Slick Trick Assailants in 100 grain. They hit next to my G5 Montec M3 100 grainers.
    If I decide to bump up to 125 grain head then I might just order some Evolution Outdoors broadheads. 🏹
    Thanks for sharing your experience

      I know this is a year later but Dale (owner of evolution outdoors) has some test videos from a Tac event where he shoots the aluminum version into a steel plate and the ferrel doesn't bend or break. The blade on the tip breaks but the blade on the tip of the 125 grain stainless steel model does too and the steel plate is probably tougher than any animal bone in North America ... in any case these both are super solid I don't think them being aluminum is an issue. I have both 100 and 125 grain versions of Hyde and also picked up some bad kits for the Jekyll to covert a few of my mechanicals to fixed for next season. I really thing these are a great product and the modularity of them is awesome.

    👍👍awaiting on E6. I rarely need to shoot a broadhead past 40 and that’s on a coyote now and then, but making those shots at 60 or so and actually hitting the mark is kinda like some kind of magic to me. It’s so rewarding and for my poor skills fascinating to watch the arrow fly. I’ve always used fixed heads of quality materials and prefer the smaller ones. Like the Slick Trick original or Magnus Black Hornet w/ small bleeders. Both of these are totally interchangeable with my arrows and bow set up without any POI issues lol, as my skill level allows. At 72 I’m not quite as steady as I was just 5 years ago. Hey, but a fella just has to keep swinging, arrows that is. Enjoying this line of vids you’re doing on broadheads. 👍👍👀

      Great to hear Tim! I agree about watching an arrow fly. That's awesome about those two heads and how they're interchangeable for you. Awesome knowing things like that about the setup. Thanks!

    Good video. I like using the bareshaft tuning at 20 yd instead of paper tuning. If I can get the field tips w/ bareshaft arrow to fly true out to 20yd, then the BH's are right there with the field tips. Of course, I send the BH's down range to double check and make sure POI is right there with the FTs. All in all, there's many ways to get great results with broadhead flight but it takes putting in a bit of work to ensure good clean, ethical kills. #magnus_stinger

    That's amazing broadhead flight. I tried the Annihilator 100g last year and it flew really well. I wasn't able to get a shot at a deer so I don't know how they actually perform on an animal. I liked it enough that I got the XL which is a little larger. Hopefully I like it. If not I may try those !!

    Shot a deer with the Hyde last year. Great broadhead and very accurate, but, i really like to sharpen my broadheads to make them soooooo sharp. Not sure what i'm shootin this year. Great videos.

    Is the Jekyll noticeably louder than the Hyde in flight? I wonder about the skeletonized rear blades causing the broad heads to be louder. It'd be interesting to find out if the Jekyll and Jekyll dangerous game sound the same or if one is louder.

    • @DialedinHunter
      @DialedinHunter  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Jekyll seems a bit louder. Never had that work against me in the field though. Would be interesting for sure about the dangerous game heads.

    I wish they would make the 100g Jeckyll in steal. Would be interested in trying them. I’ve shot the montec 5 and grim reaper micro hades. The montecs work great, but they are not that sharp. Also, we need a link with a coupon code for these things. 😂😂
