Picked up these switches on Mercari (slightly used) for a song, came to YT to find this video, and wow those graphics are on point. Amazing work to produce this kind of content.
What should I get? I’m debating on: - AKKO V3 Cream Yellow Pro - AKKO V3 Cream Black Pro - AKKO V3 Silver Pro Which one should I get? I used to have a Red Switch Keyboard but had to buy a new one cuz it broke. I now bought the same keyboard (RK61) but in came with Brown Switches because it was on sale. Which one should I get from the 3 Switches I mentioned? I want to try something different than Red Switches BUT would give me almost the same experience.
Every one of these will feel better than red's , but I would personally go with the black one if you don't care a slightly heavier switch! But if you prefer stay with light switch, go with the yellow!
Love the feel of this switch, but I have one issue with these: There's a slight rattle coming from within and even lubing the spring or the leaf doesn't fix the issue completely. I guess I'm really strict about the sound :)
I'm in doubt between cream v3 blue pro and yellow pro. I'm afraid of yellow being sensitive and bumping the keys unintentionally. I found the sound of the blue one more pleasant, but I'm afraid of making a lot of noise and disturbing people around, and of being tiring to type for hours with the blue switch. Which would you indicate?
In term of noise, they are similar, so Blues wont be much more disturbing than the yellow, nothing like clicky switches. As for the feel, it's up to your preference, the blue have a bump when pressing the switches and the yellow are linear... They both are pretty light, but still balanced!
@@ClickandThockTime and time again, I come to this channel and find _exactly_ the answers I need. Thank you for doing what you're doing, and for being so involved!
Nice and classy video man. I have a question, i have the gateron milky yellow pro which are creamy, i wanted a switch that is between creamy and marblely sounding. If i hand lube the akko V3 cream yellow pro, would i get what i want or should i just leave it stock?
Hi! Cream Pro being already factory lubed, it should not change the sound that much... But stock they already sound less creamy than milky yellow! Thank you! :)
I found hand lubing added a decent amount of marbled sound to their signature creamy clack sound profile personally. They are factory lubed, yes, true, & can def be used stock with no problems but they are def lubed on the lighter side & will a much less viscous oil rather than grease like you'd get with your 205g0 variant of lubricant & greases. I also like to lube the spring with similar grease instead of an oil or 105 type of oil. Also adds a depth to the marbled creamy sound (& feel - as if these things need to be any smoother lol) they're fantastic switches. Esp at that price point
would you recommend this over the original cream blue one, regardless to the sound they make. I'm making a decision but I'd like to hear about the tactiltiliy thank you
You mean the original cream yellow? Yes I would go all the way to the Pro Yellow! But if you were talking about the cream blue, I have mixed feeling... The Pro blue is smoother, but less tactile... That's up to your preferences!
@@ClickandThock I order a sample of both versions (Blue and Blue Pro) Actually I found out that the the tactile of the Pro version is heavier than the original one. But the press force is lighter It is so weird that the reviewers think the pro one is lighter it kinds confuses me
Any recommendations for a deep thocky linear switch? I know other parts of the keyboard matter but I am specifically asking about the switches. I have akko v3 creams already - I need it deeper 😄
Any switches will be quieter than razor green! But if you want cheap tactile switches check the Akko cream blue, they sure will be quieter than razor green!
akko v3 cream yellow+Sa profile= good sound.. and the price point =excelent.. and they compatible with outemu hot swap socket (you know the tight tiny socket from hell❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥❤🔥 , because it's so hard to pull) so its great recommendation upgrade for cheap keyboard
@@ClickandThock From the soundrecording the sound is very thin and mediocre. Idk how the feel is though but I have heard better linear switches. It's all about preference but I like the more fuller sound like from the Durock Lupines for example.
Hello, what can you say about outemu silent switches? Is the overall quality decent regardless of price? Would you recommend to buy them if i wanna get good feeling and silent sound?
The only Outemu Silent I've tried is the Ocean Silent, pretty silent, but there are better silent switches out there... Maybe there are better Silent Outemu, I have not tried many Outemu switches so far...
I can't describe the joy of finding this channel, incredible help in choosing high-cost and low-budget switches. Thank you for running the channel!
So glad to read this! Thank you!! :)

One of my favorite switches, especially the sound it makes.

Vertex v1 switch, (prelubed) , and thank me later.

These are not perfect, but totally worth it for the price IMO! :)
Nice edit, shame so low subs!
Btw, how is it compared to gateron yellow pro 2? Thinking of switching to V3 cream pro now
Smoothness is similar, but cream pro sound a bit better imo, but they both are great.
Hi! I've watched several videos and I'm still confused. 😂 Which is better, Akko Cream Yellow Pro or Gateron Pro Yellow Milky? Thank you!
Which is better for gaming akko v3 cream yellow pro or akko v3 cream blue pro ?
I have no idea what should I pick
Similar, only depends if you prefer linear or tactile switches.
Has the keyboard been custum?
Keyboard have plate foam.

Really!!

Did you tested akko cs piano yet or no ?
I totally forgot to ask Akko for this switch, I'll ask this week! Thanks mate!

90 switches of that goes for 10$ in vietnam rn after the release of m1w at such a low price lol

These big time IMO! :)

I this price point, check Epomaker Wisteria or BlueBird. I you want to pay more, take a look to Chosfox DD or Hanami Dango Pink
@@ClickandThock Thank you so much for the reply, I really appreciate it! I was asking people in general but the man himself answered, cheers!
Which switches would you recommend for me since I want quieter ones since I have razer green ones

Would you recommend this lubes again or the factory lube is good enough?
Factory ins good enough imo!
Thabks for the reviews, im tossing between this and the black, which do you prefer?
I personally prefer the black! :)
HOW about RGB light sir? Can this switch provide?
I have this switch, it does support rgb but since the top is yellow the rgb color may not be as accurate as the one with transparent top ❤
Do you think filming the switch will improve it?
Yes these could benefit some filming.

yeah its sad that the pro version makes 3 pin hotswaps unavailable since the pro ver is 5 pin
@@animate4529are they better than gateron yellows
For sure!! Hard to beat!
IMO yes.
Do you think this switch needs relubing? or is stock good enough.
Even the older version hardly needed lube, so you can go without lube for sure for those one. They are smooth out of stock !
The old version could take a little lubing, but those are perfect out of the box!
Is it hotswap able?
They are compatible with hotswapable keyboards for sure.
Is this a long pole switch?
Yes!
Hi fak idort do you prefer this or normal cream yellow tell me now
this one
Actually the reason why it pops and doesn’t thock and cream it’s bc of the hollow and 0 lube!
Interesting!
Is this a good one for CALL OF DUTY??
Pretty light and responsive, why not.
Are these factory lubed?
yes
Yes!

they sound like legos
Yes, love it!
this switch is not cream at all
The name kinda tricky, you are right, this type of housing is great, but not really creamy like the piano!
