I think the one thing that impresses me the most is how easy you make these pieces look, avoiding fanciful hand raising and showy body movements. The sheet music for this is terrifing, and the technique is advanced, and yet you make it look like a walk in the park.

The time spent for practicing with notes takes so long that brain just memorizes it on its own
It really is amazing, but it just comes naturally. I find it easier to shut my brain off when playing a piece I know. If I try to think about it too much, I draw a blank. If I zone out, I can play pieces I learned 10 years ago.

Some composers do judge that this cat concerto was a copyright of the Rhapsody rabbit. It is also true. But 80%. The remaining 20% truth is that the Rhapsody rabbit itself is a copyright of Hungarian Rhapsody no.2 which was composed by the legendary composer Franz Liszt.

@@stealth3d394 depende, vai de cada pessoa, em questão de memorização eu guardo fácil as músicas, porém se ficar um tempo sem tocar esqueço! Mas o segredo é não ficar dependente de partituras, decorou já era partituras, vai tocando sem.

But, like the gentleman in this video, playing perfectly from memory is only half the battle. Interpretation is the other half. @@ghp7382 I'm pretty sure he's talking about the fact that they can play notes of different length on their different hands, but it really isn't a "professional" kind of thing...I mean if you have a mounth of playing piano behind you or if more than 5 years old, you should definitely be able to do it

Hungarian Rhapsody No.2 is one of my favorite musical masterpieces I've ever heard for a piano solo, and you played it puuurfectly, Vinheteiro. My first memory of listening to Hungarian Rhapsody No.2, ironically, was when I watched the Cat Concerto Tom and Jerry episode. I should watch that episode again, as it's just awesome. Hungarian Rhapsody No.2 is very beautiful composition by Franz Liszt, but it looks like a tough composition to play, escpecially considering that the D Flat Major and C Sharp Minor scales take place mostly on the black keys. @@bhooshanpandit1344 yeah I admit , I was new to classical pieces about 1 month ago. Now I know this doesn't even come near Liszt's top 5 most difficult compositions. El Contrabandista , Paganini Etude 6 , Hungarian Rhapsody 13 And 6 and The Original La Campanella are much more difficult. And that's from Liszt's alone.
Joseph cheeseinthepie just because you play a piece with black keys(almost any classical piece) does not make it hard. Lots of classical music like spring four seasons is quite easy

Ele traduz todos os vídeos para diversos idiomas, principalmente inglês. Então, se você está assistindo no Brasil, o título aparece em português. Alguns vídeos, por exemplo, estão com título em português (pq estamos no Brasil) mas a capa do vídeo tem um texto em inglês.
Em resumo ele sabe que a audiência no Brasil é inferior, na entrevista dele no The Noite ele afirma que (na época) 9% do público dele era brasileiro, enquanto o resto era gringo.

There was a LOT of classical music used in cartoons. Not only this, but things like Schubert's 8th Symphony, The William Tell Overture (also famously used as the Lone Ranger theme song), Ride of the Valkyries, Die Fledermaus, and more. A very BIG reason was that there were no copyright issues and it can all be used for free.

Eu não entendo de piano mas é minha paixão. Perdi as contas de quantas vezes vi esse video e nunca vou me cansar de ver e me emociono todas as vezes é um poema que fala na alma.
Essa é uma peça fácil do Liszt... Definitivamente não está entre aquelas que ele fez com a intenção de ser tecnicamente desafiadoras, como a sonata em si menor.

@@miguelp384 Comparado às músicas que o Liszt fez com o propósito de serem difíceis, essa é bem fácil sim. Essa é uma música onde ele simplesmente se expressa musicalmente, sem fazer nada muito desafiador para ele próprio. É difícil em absoluto, mas não é difícil dentro do repertório do Liszt.

Essa peça prega peça em muitos pretensos pianistas, pois 99% deles focam apenas na agilidade, o que faz a execução sair robotizada e sem expressão alguma.
Todo o equilíbrio da peça, a transição forte/piano, lento/acelerado, leveza/brutalidade... enfim, todo a dinâmica que separa os meninos dos grandes mestres.

Concordo. Tipo a tal da Valentina Lisitsa que comentaram por aqui, que nessa música só tem velocidade, e além de soar robótico também altera a velocidade da obra, perdendo a expressão.
Eu sou muito exigente com essa peça, até hj eu não tinha gostado totalmente de nenhuma interpretação que eu tinha ouvido, as versões q eu mais gostava, por assim dizer, eram do Arthur Pizarro e do Roberto Szidon, só q por exemplo, o Roberto Szidon executa ela perfeitamente, mas "caga" logo nos primeiros acordes, não sei se vc já escutou a versão dele, eu não entendo o por quê dele ter resolvido tocar daquele jeito (se vc escutar vai entender o q eu tô dizendo), e eu achei a sua versão SIMPLESMENTE PERFEITA!!! A partir de hj, a sua versão é a q eu mais gosto, parabéns :)

Valentina Lisitza tem a melhor versão mesmo , o Vinheteiro apesar de tocar bem , deixa as vezes o piano ficar mudo, deixando a nota acabar sem eco, e alguns erros de nota.

Well, it's cool that he can play it, not bad yes. Someone who can play this, or struggled trying to learn it, would not press dislike. But some random listener, if they compare this to some concert pianists, you can understand the dislikes. Listen to Adam Gyorgy for example, his interpretation is perfect, crystal clear, or Hamelin if you want extravagance. Extremely difficult piece to play right, even Rousseau is far behind top pianists playing this one.
