    I live in NY and was not familiar with this company. It's delightful that an Aussie on the other side of the world brought them to my attention.

    Looking at getting my first Parkhurst boots, and your comments on the GST and shipping in this video rang home once i added it all up in the cart. Any of the new boots are near $750 shipped here. I'm fine with the boot price itself, but those additional charges hurt.

    I appreciate your comment about Viberg. I was recently tempted to buy a pair, but realized I had nearly identical boots already, in my Carmina jump boots and various Parkhurst, Grant Stone, and MP Shermans. A realization that saved me $850 and a renewed appreciation of what I already own. Love your reviews, thank you!

    Old last, what a treasure. Got 3 pairs of them. One is from his first run in color 8 cxl, a pair of brown horse and kudu.
    The 602 is great as well. Andrew is a really cool guy and hope Parkhurst continues to do well.

    Great review. Hope you get the microphone/tech sorted out. I'm hoping Parkhurst gets back on its feet in post-epidemic times. They are really fantastic looking boots.

    I have an old pair of Parkhurst Delaware boots in dark brown kudu that are amazing, in part because they are fully lined. I find kudu boots that aren't lined in the quarters/ankle shaft to feel less secure. I wish Andrew would go back to that construction for kudu.

      They’re supple but supposed to be 3x as tough as bovine due to the fibre structure. But I get it, I have a pair of moose that I swear feel like thin canvas!

    The 602 fits me even better than Trubalance which had been my gold standard for RTW fit.

    @bootlosophy Love your content Teik! Great to see a fellow Australian producing such informative videos.
    Not to derail this video in particular, but have you ever made a video on or checked out Wootten boots in Melbourne? Just curious as to your thoughts on them. I've got a pair being made as we speak (due to be delivered in late Feb) 😄
    Keep up the great work!

    Hi Teik, another great video. I was wondering if you have any experience with the lighter tanned Kudu and how it ages? Does it darken?Thanks again and take care. Also, if you had to choose a service boot, are you still favoring your Whites? I was considering a Nicks model and don’t see you have reviewed any of their models yet?

    • @Bootlosophy
      @Bootlosophy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven’t experienced a lighter kudu but I’m sure they’ll darken in time. Choosing a service boot, I’d still pick the MP because they look so “military”. The only Nicks I have is a Robert and I have reviewed that!

    Hi Tek
    I just got my first pair. The arch seems high. Like there is an orthopedic in the heal area and leather foot area. Does the arch height conform to your foot as it is a bit high for me?

    I use Saphir Oiled Leather Cuirs Gras on Kudu since I feel it norishes more than Bick 4, will look as if it darkens but it does lighten after a few hours, as per
    aerosurferlv th-cam.com/video/-mzeq9CdHk0/w-d-xo.html and it did work on my Kudu

    I’m surprised to see a Parkhurst boot with a dainite sole

    • @Bootlosophy
      @Bootlosophy  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      They started mainly with Dainite before introducing Ridgeway and commando soles before COVID

    • @albertoclonado
      @albertoclonado ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I liked the Dainite soles way more than commando ones. Part of the appeal of Parkhurst was they looked sophisticated. Nowadays they’re more inclined towards ruggedness and utility

    • @kosta2177
      @kosta2177 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@albertoclonado I totally agree. I would actually prefer Dainite for every day use
