I owned a 67 from 79-81.
Out went the 327/Powerglide and 2.73. In went the ported 402BB, Muncie and 3 series posi. Maybe 400hp? Isky solid. 11.5 TRW Slugs. 4 inch collectors. Holley 4150. Zoom and Hurst. Monoleafs converted to Tri-Leaf.
Got in trouble, so it was sold. Never got it to the track.

I owned a 67. Also a 64 Chevy II. A 64 Cutlass and a 64 Chevelle. I had a thing for the wings, lets just say.

I agree 100%! I had a '68. I always thought the '69 was hideous with the weird wheel openings and the body line... I never understood the people who prefer the '69. The ZL 1 was nice, but I can't get over the body.
