I really appreciate the fact that you ensure products that are actually high quality, and not just to make a quick buck, at the consumers expense. Enjoy your channel, and trust your reviews. I've purchased several of the knives you review and recommend, and you haven't let me down yet. 🤙
I own an HK (Hogue) and a UTX 70. Otf's are fun, but I hardly ever carry them despite being legal in my state. They're knives with more limitations than a good manual folder. I'm probably faster out of pocket with a manual than an otf and side opening
I love otf knives for the fidget factor, but I can't help to think that if I stab it into something or for a significant amount of pressure cutting with it, I'm afraid that it'll fail when I need it. As opposed to carrying and using one of my fixed blade knives or even a CS folder, with the Tri-Ad lock, I never even think about it with those. But for the cool & fidget factor yes.
When are you going to review the civivi yonder designed by Zac whitmore ( zac in the wild)? It is a great crossbar locking knife with the standard version having 14c28n steel. I love mine and it is an incredible budget edc folder.
I previously purchased a couple of different OTF knives. One had a good video promo and the other with camouflaged handle. One in the hundred dollar range. I wasn't pleased because of lack of solid lockup so sold both and bought a SOG PENTAGON OTF. No other OTF knife needed ❤
I don't understand why opening mechanism matters by law. 99.9% of knives open at the same speed. Be it flipper ,thumb stud, or auto. The only "advantage " is the Emerson wave feature when it comes to folders. I also don't understand blade length laws. A perfectly legal utility knife can do as much damage with a tiny blade as my Cold Steel Recon XL at 5. 5 inches.
I like my ultratech but I have to agree the stiff switch is definitely a downside even sent it back and they were able to make it a hair better but it’s still to stiff even though it’s my only complaint its a fairly serious one for me as I have really busted up hands.
I've stayed away from OTF knives because of the dagger-shaped blades. I'm looking for a tool, not a weapon. I love the blade shape, firing mechanism, and price of the SOS, but I agree that the handle shape is terrible and therefore it's a no for me. Hopefully, they will correct that in the future. Love your channel! Keep up the great work!
Thanks for sharing such valuable information! I need some advice: My OKX wallet holds some USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). Could you explain how to move them to Binance?
Sorry if this is off topic. I was wondering if Reiff knives would make your list of top knives - why or why not (and of course, which model). I have really been in love with their knives ever since I discovered them, but haven’t pulled the trigger on getting one yet.
@@gideonstactical I corrected the name of the knife company. It’s uppercut tactical. Bare knuckle is a company that makes guitar pickups. My two favorite passions got mixed up 😂
Decent looking blade. I still have yet to find an OTF that dethrones my Kershaw Livewire though. I can't get enough of that knife. Another brand you might enjoy is Axial
Oh yeah, this is not gonna detrain the live wire anyway. Just wish they had made the handle either bigger and longer or done completely different. Cut outs to make it actually feel comfortable in the hand.
Good review, but no thanks. I see these things as gimmick knives that I wouldn't bet my life on. Just my limited opinion. My axis lock pocket knives open with the flick of the wrist and stay locked open until I want to close them with another flick of the wrist. I get the fun factor in owning one of these spring loaded contraptions.
You just have to get the right one. The Kershaw Livewire is the absolute best. I sold all my Microtechs, Heretics, Guardians, etc. Because the Livewire is leaps and bounds better. I built a bowdrill set with it (which requires batoning and drilling) and it came out unharmed
@@christopher7398 What?? You might have to. That is the whole point of carrying a blade for me. I don't carry one to feel cool or to just fidget with. Plenty of small fixed blades and pocket knives that you can trust to help you save your own life in a survival situation.
I would love to see a review of some Cobratec OTFs. Maybe the Raptor. I have a Boker Kwaiken OTF that was OEMd by Cobratec and I love it. I'd trust an honest review from Aaron on Cobratec.
The best budget Cobratec OTF is the Lightweight. Less than $100. Has the same profile as a Lightning, but way better quality in construction and steel.

A lot of video coming soon on it.

I plan on getting it this year. Do you have any issues with the blade dulling from opening and closing or was that fixed?

@@John-gu7jq thanks so much!! Ya it is weird that they screwed up the handle
Cobratec OTFs are great for the price.
Looks like the lightning,I'm not a fan of otfs but they are cool

They are excellent quality. If on the expensive side. The F5 is the best all around Knife.
@@gideonstactical I’m a sucker for a scandi grind. I’m probably got to start with the S5 glider and eventually get an F6.
Both OTF are definitely good value.overall. I'm thinking about getting a schrade
Have you ever tried uppercut tactical OTF knives? I’ve never used one but they’re not expensive.
No but I will look into them

OTFs are just plain fun…. But I don’t mess with them cause they’re illegal to carry in my state.

I feel the same way about them. It doesn't really matter if I'm right or wrong either because I wouldn't trust it.
Good thing you shouldn’t ever be betting your life on a pocket knife

My micro tech, while I adore is, is my least reliable knife. I would never count on it
You should check out cobra teck knives

Cool knife. Not really my cup of tea. Ive got a few otf's. Never really carry them. Excellent review though.
O.C.D. + Hand puppetry = 😴😴😴 🥱🥱🥱
Its just a cheaper Hogue Compound clone, i would buy the Hogue. Also it looks to slippery in the hand way to dangerous.
