I don't think you stopped smiling throughout this entire video. 😁 It's infectious! And you should know something about being happy. You built a Happiness Machine after all. Enjoy your new tool. Thanks for sharing!
"Trading is like buying but instead of giving away a currency you give away potential, so you are trading potencial for potencial..." That is a really accurate definition!
But how did the second fork lift arrive at the destination so that it could fork lift the fork lift back down? 🤔 Were there even more fork lift involved? Or just ramps?
Herzlichen Glueckwunsch Laura! You are my sunshine! Never stop smiling, und lass` Dir niemals von irgendetwas Angst machen! Danke fuer all` Deine Videos und dass Du sie teilst mit uns!
If this channel just becomes Laura trading and up cycling items... I am all in! I love that you’ve made these connections with your community and brought some underloved older items back to life.
Best of Luck Laura. You know one of lifetime obsessions is to have just a tiny version of your workshop and unleash space for creativity. Really wish you all the best and all people have such doing and creating attitude. :)
We just got an amazing quote from Laura! "Invest in the things that make u happy"! Spoken by like a true artist! And something we all should think about moving forward from this period! Happy fork-lifting!
Thanks Laura, that was great. Your enthusiasm and excitement are contagious and I don't mind being infected by that! You never know what is going to inspire someone to move towards something better so talking about what you did to get where you are now throws a lot of sparks in the air, some of them are going to ignite the imagination of someone out here. I had a big grin from ear to here after watching this. Thanks again!
You bring so much joy in my daily life You have a such communicative energy and smile You have so much ingenuity and imagination I love you and you videos and Smudo, please continue your so great job !!!
What a big smile!!! Remember it's very handy to keep a sturdy pallet stored somewhere, great for loading a lot of smaller stuff on and moving together around the space. I have an ancient forklift at work we call 'Gertie'. She is very quirky and has fuel line issues but once you know her quirks, she goes forever. Enjoy your new forklift
Great story around buying new equipment! I think it needs the same paint job as your welding helmet. To see a ladybug carry a bridgeport is a great visual!
This video really cheered me up and it is nice to see someone who thinks for themselves and has not been drawn into the throw away culture of consumerism, the world would be a nicer place if we had more creative people like you.
LAURA I've been following you on your journey from the beginning, and it's so nice to see you happy, glowing ,and growing . God bless you girl you deserve this and every little thing this thing called life. Well keep on rocking out your projects and videos. And thank you for sharing your experience and journeys with us all Hello from the USA and South Florida Be good , stay safe and healthy Daren♥️
An excellent trade, Laura! I answered the poll with “camper,” but I completely agree that a forklift was the best choice for you. Congrats on the success in your journey. I look forward to watching.
Hi Laura. Just a little comment because I found your channel about a month ago. I have spent hours devouring your videos and I am so inspired by your projects, your attitude and documentation. Thank you for sharing. I've even decided to get myself my first Leatherman as a Xmas present to myself this year! :D Can't wait to watch the house development in real time. :) All the best, Hanna
Awesome... Trading or bartering is the way to go. Many years ago my husband and I belonged to a church and a group of young married couples. We all had different skills and professions, we never paid each other but traded skills. Plumbing, carpentry, sewing , whatever. After 43 years we are still friends with those that are still around. Love your channel and your work ethic. Your projects are great.
Laura, you are ALWAYS welcome in my home. You have always been. And you will always be. Thank you for another great, Sunday morning video. And I will see you again next week.
I used to (poorly) drive a forklift like this at my dad's shop. It's how I learned to drive stick (again, poorly) Fond memories, and I can almost smell the exhaust hearing it start!
Uauuuuu!!! FELICITACIONES!!! La verdad Laura, se te ve totalmente feliz y radiante con la adquisición!!! Que lo disfrutes!!! Tu alegría es contagiosa! German, Montevideo, Uruguay
Congrats on your new toy! This is so inspiring. I am moving homes and this is giving me new thoughts on why I should keep or toss some of my items and tools. Can't wait to see more of what you do⚡ much love.
Yes!....i can totally understand the potential trade...I have a 1947 Towmotor forklift, its needs a little work, but i love it lol....its so essential for the artist in their shop,
When the time comes you'll probably be able to trade the fork lift for something you need even more. The kernel of truth in this video is 'nostalgia doesn't justify hoarding stuff'. Absolutely great video Laura. I hope the forklift serves you as well as the 'tiny trailer' did.
WOW! list of things I have wanted but don´t need: Big office style copy machine Bobcat tractor (I live in an appartment) chainsaw and.... a fork lift!!!! nice trade!!!!!
"...a forklift brings me JOY!" A truly genuine moment. You've become a storyteller. It seems as though Your two hour live stream last month is becoming present in your new material. Thank You for a glimpse into how you get things done. 👍🏽
Anybody else here hit the "Like" Button before watching the video? I mean, c'mon this is the one and only Laura Kampf, I luv you Laura, my No.1 "Maker" and TH-camr.
I was watching Diesel Creek this morning, and someone mentioned your channel. after seeing this video and your shop, I suppose I will be binge watching your old videos for the next few days. I think I may be hooked, from a retired machinist-tool maker-machine repairman-wannabe farmer and dreamer 😎
Oh my God... I saw your movie with tears of happiness in my eyes ;-). Go girl and make your dreams come true, you deserve it! I can imagine what will come with this in the future. Happy for you!
Good thing they helped you out with the transport! I remember working in a warehouse, moving around heavy stuff with the Stapler was one thing, but moving the Stapler itself around... uff. Also, that guy kinda looked like the type of person I expected :D I loved the insight and thoughts in this video and I appreciate your attitude. I have only been following since the Truckla project and was somehow aware that you had been doing what you do for quite a while, but I had no idea how far you have come and how much you invested. Thanks for sharing, I'm looking forward to more! :)
Forklift a Forklift, what a good scene!!!and as always the Soundtrack is fab...I wonder where you get your music.I love to see you so uplifted.May the Fork be with you!!!🐻
@Laura Kampf why did I just have the biggest smile watching this? It’s awesome to see the simple things that make you happy. For a second there I thought you meant the trade was your new bar (that you traded a very expensive tool). 🤣🤣🤣
Hearing that forklift starting up reminded me of my first car. The starter wouldn't engage the flywheel properly sometimes and I'd get that grinding chatter. Always made me cringe but I absolutely loved that car. Awesome video and here's hoping the forklift lives up to its potential.
Your positivity and fearlessness are so inspiring. After watching this, I feel like I am capable of so much. I think I might have potential like your forklift!
2:11 "Nostalgia alone doesn't justify hoarding stuff."
Well said, Laura.
Excellent quote.
I love the storytelling style this time, it worked perfectly.
awww, thank you!! i enjoyed putting it together!

Laura always has excellent philosophical reflections.
Oh sorry... youve already mensioned it... Memo to me: read all the comments first
I hope you watched the Staplerfahrer Klaus training video before driving for the first time! ;)
Where I could watch that video trainning, please!!! Thanks
Indeed. That has been used at my work as an training video for our students who are learning forklift driving and such. :D

of course!! just to refresh the memory
Klaus will be viral now.. ...
I never imagined I could enjoy a video about a forklift so greatly!
thats a really good compliment! thanks!
A fork lift fork lifting a fork lift. Made me Happy, for some reason. 🤔🤩
But how did the second fork lift arrive at the destination so that it could fork lift the fork lift back down? 🤔 Were there even more fork lift involved? Or just ramps?

Yesssss! #lifegoals congratulations Laura! Now you can reorganize your shop every day!
In my garage/shop I call it rearranging the deck chairs on the Titanic. And almost every time I think 'this is perfect'.

I think you are right 😁 TH-cam algorithm showed me this next...
